Have you heard about Mikimoto Pearls? Well, I've heard about it but don't really know about it. But I've been browsing and found out that Mikimoto Pearls is apparently the highest quality pearl there is, at least for now.
It was named after Kokichi Mikimoto, a Japanese man who has succeeded in culturing pearls into what become known as Mikimoto pearls now. He started it in 1893. Mikimoto invented the proprietary grading system of sorting and grading pearls which other companies have since used it as a standard. Through tireless dedication, research and experiments Kokichi almost single-handedly invented the modern cultured pearl industry. The Mikimoto Pearl Store, a product of Kokichi's study of Western aesthetics and his own unique sense of style, soon attracted worldwide attention. It wasn't long before the elegant beauty of Kokichi's pearls was eventually recognized by women throughout the world and "MIKIMOTO" became synonymous with the finest quality pearls.
Did you know? Today, only the top 3 to 5 percent of the pearl's harvest meets the rigorous quality control standards that Mikimoto has established. So that explains why Mikimoto pearls has been the highest quality in pearl industry. No wonder a lot of celebrities and famous rich people wear it, you can tell by how beautifully shiny and gorgeous the pearls they wore. And that also explains the price tag that comes with it ^o^
