My Daily Blabber
10:57:00 PMOther than my wall decals giveaway I am currently running a "Gift For Your Loved Ones" campaign on my review/giveaway blog (Tigerlily's Book) for the month of February. It would be like a gift guide highlighting on things that I thought would be great to give to your loved ones (siblings, parents, childrens, lover, best friends, etc..). I have already published my first post there, an idea on what you should give to the men in your life (plus giveaway!). Hop on there if you have the time.
Okay, speaking about gift giving one of my best friend is having a birthday this month so I'm thinking to buy her some body care products because I think every girl would love that :) But on a second thought I think she already got what she needs in the body care department, hmm...what else that she might not have yet?
After browsing here and there for a while I decided to buy her a bath oil instead. Yes, a bath oil. It is somewhat not as common as a bubble bath or body lotion for instance, so i think she might use a new bath oil ;p
Well actually I think I might use one too, considering I'm not really familiar with the use of bath oil after all this time ^o^
I once used it on my bath but I think I might have used a big portion of it than it should be so my bath is rather "oily" instead of "comforting and moisturizing". It's a failed attempt, I guess.. ;p
Deeper on the bath oil subject, according to WiseGeek Bath oil is a body care product which is designed to be added to a bathtub. Using bath oil regularly will help to soften and nourish the skin, eliminating dry and rough patches, because the warm water of the bath opens up your pores to help you absorb the oil and provides an excellent moisturizing effect.
Most bath oils are scented with the addition of essential oils. In addition to smelling good, a scented bath oil can also be used for aromatherapy.

Anyway, I found this recipe on Care2 about how to make bath oil yourself, it was posted by Annie B. Bond:
How to make a Basic Bath Oil Blend:
This is a well-balanced oil blend for most skin types. It is nourishing and soothing and it is not too heavy or light. It provides an excellent base for the Aromatherapy Bath Oils that follow. This oil blend may also be used directly on the skin.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 oz. olive oil
3 oz. almond oil
1 oz. sesame oil
1 oz. canola oil
1/2 oz. wheat germ oil
Pour oils in a jar, cap with a tight fitting lid and shake well. Add 1 oz. oil per bath. Makes 7 oz.
Do you think you can make that? Well I'm not that kind of girl who could magically make things from scratch, I'm more of an instant buy girl ;p
Anyway, if you should decide to try a bath with some bath oil (DIY or store bought) then for a perfect finish you can follow a bath with a toner or cold water rinse and then moisturize thoroughly to keep your skin healthy. I read that at WiseGeek too ^__^
Now let's see if I end up buying my friend a bath oil :)
