A couple of weeks ago I got an invitation from ROXY to attend their High Tea / Summer 2010 Preview at Hotel Mulia. Of course I said yes, after the Sunsilk launching event that I missed earlier I don't want to miss another event. I'm glad I could make it this time.

The concept of the event is a preview of ROXY Summer '10 collection while having a High Tea together. It was held at Hotel Mulia, one of the best known hotel in Jakarta. I got there by 2.oo PM as the invitation stated but it didn't start until 3.oo PM because most of the guests (bloggers & fashion editor) were very very late.. tsk..tsk..

But anyway the event went great! We had great food, great drinks, great music and I met fellow blogger Nuniek who I've met at the Jammal Hamadi - FD blogger meet-up a couple of months back. I also met some new blogger friends as well as fashion editors from FEMINA magazine who sat next to me. We all change cards and chit-chat freely while sipping tea and munching on sweet patisseries.

According to the press release, there are around 40 VIP guests that were invited to the closed event, including Indonesia’s top Fashion Editor’s and Fashion Blogger’s to various other.

The event started with an introduction to the Roxy Global Brand Values which is "Naturally Beautiful, Fun & Alive and Daring & Confident". This was followed with a presentation of the Roxy Global Brand Promise, which is “Let The Spirit of The Mountain and The Wave Fill Your Heart” stemming from the iconic Roxy mountain wave heart logo.

You know what? I always knew that ROXY and QUIKSILVER are under one roof but although I knew that ROXY are for girls, I never noticed that QUIKSILVER is the brand for guys-only. Call me stupid but I always thought that Quiksilver sell stuffs for girls too, but apparently it's not ;)

Anyway, Mutia Ratna -- Indonesia’s Fashion Designer for Roxy presented the Summer 10 collection that is inspired by these three styles: the Hippie Chic Generation, Jubilation Era and Sailor Style. Highlights for the collections are Fashion Tees, Bikinis, Bags as well as Roxy accessories such as Glasses and Eyewear.

From the three style above, my most favorite is the Sailor Stripes. I don't know why but I'm really into sailor style these past few weeks. I love watching all their collection in the sailor stripes. I also love the Hippie Chic Generation because I always love bohemian style. And the Jubilation Era is very fun, colorful and retro.

The guests also have the opportunity to play mix n match with all the clothes and manequins provided. I teamed up with Nuniek to create our mix n match outfit for ROXY girl:
