I am sooo sorry for lack of posts these days, I don't know why or how but I think I got a "writer's block" because I couldn't seem to find the idea nor the will to write anything lately (is that a writer's block or just plain lazy? ha!). I just thought I need to get away from blogging just for a little while to allow my mind to refresh itself. But then I feel bad of not writing any more posts, so I guess I stopped by here today for a little while and try to write something so you all know that I'm not dead and still very much exist :)

Do you know that ASOS is currently offering Free International / Worldwide Shipping? Well I did looked around on the website but the price of the items that I want is still above my budget (due to current conversion rate) so I hesitate to shop there.

And now I just found out from one of FemaleDaily's (Indonesian online community) forum that some of the girls who just shopped at Asos actually didn't get a pleasant experience. Of course the Free Shipping made a good excuse for shopping at Asos but it turned out that some of the orders were somehow mixed up: someone gets the item in wrong color, the other one got her order in the wrong size, etc.
And because our country is far from USA so the return policy of the items are quite tricky. The shipping post to return the package back to Asos from Indonesia is expensive and the overseas shipping sometimes took longer time to arrived.

So what happened to Asos? Maybe Asos is overwhelmed by all the orders from the free shipping promo?

So anyway, Female Daily is having this 10 for 10 Challenge which is basically like Kendie Everyday's 30 x 30 challenge. So you picked 10 items (clothes & shoes) from your wardrobe and then you mix n match 'em in 10 days >>> so in 10 consecutive days you wear only those 10 items that you mix n match everyday.

I never participate in Kendie's 30 x 30 challenge because...well it's 30 days (which I'm not sure I could keep up) and Kendie's rule is to also forbid any shopping in those 30 days so you can appreciate your wardrobe more, and I'm not sure that I can do that ^o^

But since this 10 for 10 challenge from Female Daily don't have that same rule and it's for only 10 days anyway .... aaannd there are fashion prizes involved (!) so maayybee I'll do it.

When I saw Cee from To Brighten My Day in one of her daily outfit post, I couldn't help adoring how creative she was in donning a silk scarf as a stylish top! And pairing it with white-on-white just brings out the silk scarf even more, love this look!

She actually learned it from Sew Petite Gal's post here. As a matter of fact Sew Petite Gal has another post on how to wear scarfs in different ways. I absolutely adores the idea of turning your big scarves as blouses (or even dresses!), here's my fave from Sew Petite Gal's :

I think this look is do-able. Now all I have to do is find a big scarf (or maybe thick pashmina?) to try this style, let's start digging the closet!

Diantara sekian banyak layanan yang ditawarkan saya memilih untuk Cutting alias potong rambut. Memang kebetulan rambut saya ini sudah saatnya dirapikan hehe Bukan potong rambut yang drastis gitu sih, tapi minta dirapikan dan dibentuk sedikit.

Resepsionis yang ramah mempersilahkan saya untuk langsung menuju ke ruang cuci rambut. Berhubung rambut saya berminyak dan suka ber-ketombe kalau lagi stress, mbak yang cuci rambut saya menyarankan untuk pakai Sunsilk warna biru yang varian anti-dandruff. Saya pun di keramas sambil dipijat ringan (enak pijatnya!), lalu diberi kondisioner yang varian Soft and Smooth. Oya, sewaktu rambut saya sedang dicuci saya melihat ada seorang pelanggan yang dipersilahkan duduk di ruang tunggu karena ternyata semua kursi cuci rambut lagi penuh. Lalu ada seorang staff salon yang dengan sigap menghidangkan minuman gratis untuk pelanggan tersebut sebagai kompensasi harus menunggu giliran (Great service!).

Setelah rambut saya selesai dicuci, saya lalu diantar ke area sebelah yang terdiri dari kursi-kursi nyaman dan meja kaca dengan nuansa hitam-chrome. Keren banget ruangannya!

Konsepnya memang "mirror salon" jadi dimana-mana ada kaca. Depan, belakang, samping, bahkan di langit-langit pun ditempeli kaca-kaca bundar. Bawaannya jadi mau ngaca terus hehe

Stylist saya waktu itu namanya Monica, sangat ramah dan tau yang saya mau. Oya sebelum mulai dipotong rambut saya diberi hair tonic dulu. Setelah itu baru deh Monica menggunting rambut saya dan mem-blow-nya dengan rapi. Wah, saya jadi tersenyum lebar melihat pantulan diri di kaca hehe

Setelah selesai saya kembali ke meja resepsionis dan mereka mempersilahkan saya untuk ke zona 1 karena disitu saya bisa difoto gratis di photo booth nya! Wow, kesempatan istimewa nih. Pas rambut lagi bagus setelah di blow di salon langsung bisa diabadikan di photo booth (jangan lewatkan kesempatan ini ladies!). Studio photo booth nya pun seperti studio profesional, lengkap dengan backdrop Sunsilk dan lampu-lampu besar yang membuat saya grogi waktu difoto fotografernya hehe, ini hasilnya:

Nah seperti yang saya bilang tadi, di zona ini selain ada photo booth juga ada kafe mungil yang keren dan butik kecil (banyak aksesori lucu-lucu!), juga ada lounge yang bisa untuk tempat menunggu atau tempat santai bersama teman setelah selesai nyalon dan berfoto. Intinya, hari itu saya mendapatkan pengalaman yang benar-benar menyenangkan di Sunsilk Hair Studio!
