The Lamest DIY ever
7:40:00 AMI had some kind of a revelation a few days ago ;p
I saw this long blue beaded necklace hanging lonely in my mirror. It was there for a really long time because I rarely wear it since i find the length to be quite confusing -LOL. I mean, it's always been an awkward length for me. It's really long and thus un-proportionate for my torso if I wear it as it is, but when I loop it twice it's kinda blah (but still wearable though), when I tried to loop it thrice it become a 3 tiered choker that is actually kinda cute but it's really a hassle to put it off (because it'll choke me) and the beads would ride up to my neck all the time so it just looks like a giant bulk of blue beads instead of a nice 3 tiered choker by the end of the day -___-
But then... all of a sudden it just cross my mind to just attach my floral brooch to the necklace so it'll look like those cute floral beads necklaces that I saw on Etsy!! Yes, i think it'll work.
So I went looking for my old brooches (lucky I have an old blue one!), and started the lamest DIY everrr hahaha..
I never wear brooches because I always associate brooches with "Moms" -- maybe because my mom loves to wear them during her working days at the office so I assume it was a "Moms thing" -LOL
But then when I worked at an office a few years ago I myself bought some brooches to accentuate my blazers, but since it's too much a hassle for me to put it in the right spot on the lapel of the blazer (and I keep seeing at the mirror that it's not the right spot so I keep repeating putting it off and on again until it got to the right spot (it's a hassle, really..)) so I never wear brooches anymore (and that's why I only have like 4 brooches ;p).
So anyway, to finally finding a new way to wear your things that you thought you would never wear again is so exciting! Finally my rarely worn necklaces and brooches can be useful again and since it is just a brooch so if incase you get bored with the floral necklace style, you can always take it off1 ^__^
I also found an old pink brooch so I attach it to my long pink necklace (the necklace is vintage, my mom has it since she was young!), and it became a new necklace ^__^
Yep, the lamest DIY ever.
