The Best & Not-So-Best Dressed : Grammy Awards 2012
12:22:00 AMBefore it's too late, continuing my post on the Best & Worst Dressed of the Golden Globe and the SAG Awards, here is my version of the Best and the Not-So-Best Dressed on the Grammy Awards that was held a few days ago. The 54th Annual Grammy Awards were held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The choice were quite easy because to my liking there were only a few of celebrities who really dressed up fabulously. The rest of them were just nice and gorgeous but just not as fabulous. So here is my choice:
First up, is the Best Dressed:
My 1st place :
Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad
Taylor looks like a real princess here in this sparkling beauty from Zuhair Murad. This look is predictable for Taylor because she always wear something like this for red carpet events, but nonetheless she looks beautiful in it.
My 2nd place:
Kelly Rowland in Alberta Ferretti
I think Kelly really looks stunning in this gown. The earrings are perfect for the dress, and the shape of the dress makes her somewhat looks very statuesque; lean and sophisticated.
My 3rd place:
Fergie in Jean Paul Gaultier
I know this look is between a hit and miss on other websites / commentators but I personally love this look on Fergie. The color looks great and complimented her skin tone, the see-through lace-y fabric makes it sensual but the long feminine shape of the dress makes it look elegant at the same time.
And the Runner Ups are:
Katy Perry in Ellie Saab
The blue of the princess-y gown matches her hair, and it's rare that we get to see Katy wearing this kind of dresses. Love the vibrant color and the overall feminine look.
Rihanna in Giorgio Armani
Rihanna look flawless in this simple-but-stunning gown from Giorgio Armani. Actually this look score the top place on other websites for the best dressed look. The carefully placed slits and the back of this dress gets the most attention from this sultry look.
Jessie J in Julien McDonald
The sparkly fabric and the silhouette of the dress really accentuates Jessie J's figure. The sleek hair do with bangs and ponytail also matches perfectly with the dress, it really made the dress do the talking ;)
Kelly Osbourne in Tony Ward
I think the sparkle and the color of this dress kinda go perfectly with Kelly's hair color. I imagined it would be hard trying to find a perfect dress hue that would go along with that hair color, but Kelly actually nailed this one.
And let's not forget,
the Honorable Mentions:
the Honorable Mentions:
Adele in Giorgio Armani
Maybe if she wear a clutch or a minaudiere, I would get this look on above list ;)
Hillary Scott in Monique Lhuillier
Actually, this look is flawless, but it kinda lack something that I don't know what. Does that make sense to you? ;p
Miranda Lambert in Atelier Pavoni
This look is also great, if only she would wear her hair slightly different and wear a little bit bolder makeup so her overall look won't look too washed up.
And of course,
the Not-So-Best-Dressed:
the Not-So-Best-Dressed:
I usually only chose two of the most worse dress on this list, but since there were a few handful of "Not-So-Best-Dressed" at the 2012 Grammy so this time i decided to put up three looks instead:
Bonnie McKee
I don't know what she's wearing, and I don't wanna know..
Robyn
No comment.
Nicki Minaj
Really, Nicki?
Bringing a pope-lookalike as an accessory?? Really?!
Bringing a pope-lookalike as an accessory?? Really?!
Well I hope I'm not too harsh on the Not-So-Best-Dressed list ;p Let me know what you think!
