Event: Clarins "Perfect Contour for Perfect Look"
4:41:00 PM
This is a late post but a couple of weeks ago I was invited to Clarins's "Perfect Contour For Perfect Look" beauty event. It was held at the Pullman Hotel and several fellow bloggers from the IBB (Indonesian Beauty Bloggers) were also there attending the event.
The event was intended to introduce one of Clarins's new product: the Shaping Facial Lift. Unfortunately because we didn't get any press release or info sheet from the event so I couldn't tell you more detailed info on this product, but here is what I got from the Clarins website:
"It is Clarins’ No.1 serum in Asia, creates perfect V-shaped contours from every
angle in just 4 weeks! A complex of powerful plant extracts deliver
three proven benefits. Baccharin defines facial contours. Horse Chestnut
drains to reduce puffiness. Blue Button Flower refines by reducing
trapped fat. Apply with Clarins’ exclusive 2-minute Manual Auto-Lifting
Method for maximum lift."
The bottle has a "pump" style so it's easy to use and very practical. The texture is more like a smooth creamy lotion. It feels a little bit tingly on the skin but it goes on clear (no color).
In Asia especially in Korea the women are obsessed with V-shaped contour. The ideal face shape according to them is a V-shaped jawline, so maybe that's why Clarins make this Shaping Facial Lift range specifically for the Asian market.
The Clarins team explains to us on how to use the product range to achieve the most result. The first step is of course cleansing your face, and after that the first product to use is another product from the
Shaping Facial Lift range which is the Shaping Facial Lift Wrap. Here is the explanation from the Clarins website:
"A rich, smooth cream-mousse containing Chinese Barley and Ginkgo Biloba
extracts with an instant refining effect, to treat facial puffiness
caused by sleep, stress or heat. For facial puffiness in the morning
and feelings of heaviness around the cheeks in times of stress or heat.
In just 10 minutes, this Facial Wrap lightens tissues, reduces
puffiness, smoothes and redefines the features. At the same time, it
restores soft, bright, matte skin. The face is instantly and visibly
refined and more beautiful."
The texture was as described: a creamy mousse. And we use it on our cheeks/jawlines just like we use a mask. We put a medium thick layer on our cheeks and leave it on for 10 minutes and then cleanse it off. Some of the other guests were trying on these products but I didn't feel like wiping off my makeup because I had another appointment later that day, so I didn't try it.
But one of my blogger friend Endi Feng had the privilege to try out the
products for the demonstration. After putting on the Shaping Facial Lift Wrap and cleansed it off, the Clarins team put on the Shaping Facial Lift Serum on Endi's cheeks. You can see the difference in below photos:
Endi using the Shaping Facial Lift Wrap before using the Shaping Facial Lift Serum |
The end result after using the range:
Can you see the difference? The right cheek now has a smoother and thinner shape compared to the left cheek. It is noticeably more slimmer than the other! |
Wow the instant result is awesome! You can actually get a slimmer v-shaped face in just minutes. Absolutely amazing...
Anyway, there were also a free hand-massage at the event but there were a busy lines at the therapists tables (who wouldn't want a free hand massage, right?) and because I was a little bit in a hurry due to another appointment so I wasn't able to get in lines for the free hand massage.
Oh and one more thing, the buffet food is really goooooodddd.... LOL This is totally not important and unrelated to the theme of this blog but I really think those were the yummiest food of all the events that I attended ;)
Anyway, here's some photos from the event:
Here's one Clarins product that I would love to try:
The Eye Contour Balm!
Me and Marcelle from All That Make-up
Me! :)
And here's what each of us got to bring home from the event:
I haven't tried the Shaping Facial Lift Serum sample because I am now in the middle of finishing my other serum, but I can say that the HydraQuench Cream Gel is amazing!! It's a cream-gel texture so it's perfect for normal to combination skin like mine. It really moisturizes my skin, making it feels hydrated and plumped, and it smells wonderful too. I love it, I would recommend this to those who have normal to combination skin ;)
And what I wore to the event:
