Look Book: Nautical Style
1:06:00 AM
Hey, how is everyone doin'?
Before continuing writing this post I would like to ask you something..
As you might noticed, I did some new changes on this blog. I changed the whole fonts and some of the color palette, let me know what you think? At first I thought the fonts are too small so I re-sized them again to be a little bit bigger so you won't have to squint your eyes when you read the posts. So is this font size is still too small? Or is it okay? please let me know..
Anyway, here's a quick outfit post for you ;p
One of the style theme that I like is Nautical. I love seeing sailor style outfit in look books and magazines, for me it represents something casual, breezy air, and a bit preppy. I also love stripes pattern which is also one of Nautical look's trademark, especially blue stripes.
Speaking of blue, other colors that we can find a lot of in Nautical style are white and red. Navy is of course, the main theme of the Nautical style. If you want you can also read about my old post regarding the Nautical / Sailor look here.
I love this loose "Nautical" tee that I got from Roxy Quiksilver as one of my old sponsor. I love the fabric which is so comfortable to wear in hot humid seasons like this. But the wide neckline of this tee sometimes makes me feel a little bit uncomfortable, so I usually would wear a tanktop underneath or layer it with cardigan to avoid the "overly-wide-neckline-that-keeps-showing-my-bra-straps" situation. Unfortunately, layered outfits are not the perfect option for super hot days, right?
But then I thank whoever found the Collar trend because now I can simply add a wide collar on to this tee and my problem is solved! I'm using this scallop collar from Romwe. No more bra-strap-show and if I bend over to the front I won't show anything to the world (aka cleavage shows) ;p I love wide collars!
