You know pretty well that the bridal image consists of many things, such as dress, make-up, shoe choice, manicure and pedicure; but hairstyle is an integral part of that image too. Sometimes a hairstyle can make you look like a real princess, even if you wear a simple modest dress, or on the contrary, spoil everything even if you are in an extremely rich and glamorous attire. So, as you can see, depending on your haircut, you can make a truly great impression. It’s extremely important when you have a beach wedding, something like one of Florida beach weddings.

A few weeks ago I received these two products from the Revlon's PhotoReady series. I finally got to try the PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup and the PhotoReady Color Correcting Primer. 

The Revlon's PhotoReady collection has long been listed on my wish list ;) 

As a girl who loves to take shameless self pictures and not so photogenic face, I always think that a good makeup would help make you look even better in photos. So this PhotoReady collection from Revlon sounds just like what I needed ;)

The PhotoReady collection is a revolutionary product line with a light-diffusing formula that gives out a complete yet undetectable coverage. It seems to be the right answer in this High Definition era; the collection is a High Definition Makeup that contains photochromatic pigments that blends and reflects light to help erase every flaw so that your skin can look perfect. 

So basically, a High Definition Makeup can make your skin not only looks great and flawless but also appears younger in any lighting conditions, whether indoors or outdoors. It's specially designed to perform under harsh lighting and high definition conditions. Doesn't it sounds great or what?? This is good news especially for all the cam whores out there, just like myself ;p

And today I'm gonna review the PhotoReady Color Correcting Primer first:

This Lightweight primer smoothes skin while evening out skin tone with color correcting pigments that neutralize redness and uneven color. The mild formula is able to neutralize the redness on the skin and brightens out dull skin, it can also fix uneven skin tone. 

The color of this primer is a bit pink-ish and the texture is light and not sticky at all. It absorbed rather quickly by the skin and you can wear this alone or under foundation.

The direction on the back of the bottle says: 

Apply to clean skin. Use alone or under makeup.

So far, I love using this before my makeup. On a daily basis, I would usually only use a moisturizer, followed by this primer, and then followed by face powder. And that's it!

And if I need to put some makeup on, I put on the Airbrush Mousse Foundation or the Revlon PhotoReady Two Way Foundation after this Color Correcting Primer. And the results have always been fantastic!

The bottle itself is made of glass with a simple and sleek design. It has a nozzle with a pump so it's much easier and more hygienic to use. 

As I told you above, the primer has a light substance and it's pink-ish in color! I don't know if you can see the pink in the photo below. You can click on it to make the photo bigger.

It absorbs rather quickly!

As you can see above, the Primer really stands out to it's name. It really corrected the skin tone on my skin and made it look brighter and smoother! You can see from above photo that my left hand is more brighter than my right hand. And my left hand also appears more smooth and flawless while my right hand stays dull.

The primer also makes a smooth base for my foundation and I noticed that my face powder and makeup stayed longer on my skin whenever I use this primer. It also doesn't make me feel oily (I have combination to oily skin), so it's really great for everyday makeup base.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this Primer.

It has given me great results and really did it's job very well. It doesn't make my skin oily during the long hours of wearing it, in fact it made my skin looks flawless and brighter, and it made my skin tone more even. I have no complaints so far except for the rather peculiar smell, it smells a bit chemical-ish but it doesn't really bothers me that much. It also doesn't give me any breakouts or clogged my pores. So far, I love it and would recommend it to you who also have dull or uneven skin tone like mine ;)

There's almost never been a "failed face" photo ever since I used this PhotoReady collection ;p Most of my photos would turned out great, no dull face, no white streaks, no uneven skin tone, no more ugly makeup on facebook photos, LOL. - If you love taking photos then I truly encourage you to try Revlon's PhotoReady products ;)

Hiyaaaa.....!!

I am truly sorry for the long absent here in this blog and on my other blog TIGERLILY'S BOOK. 

The truth is I haven't been able to spare time for blogging. I am currently taking a kind of freelance job right now so my days are currently focused on those tasks. I wasn't expecting this freelance job to be time-consuming but maybe because of the tight deadlines and probably because my time-management skill is currently so poor ;p

I usually have a great time-management skill while I'm still working my old 9 to 5 job, but I think I probably lost the skill by now hahaha, LOL. But I don't complain so far, because I love and really enjoyed doing freelance jobs especially the ones that pays ;)

Aside from that, I also have a big personal project coming in two weeks (Insert Hysteric voice here!) that should also take my focus and time because it would need a lot of planning and preparing. So nowadays my mind is basically focuses mainly to those two things, and I mean all day, for 24 hrs, even while I sleep, pfiuh. 

So I obviously don't really have time to reply all my emails daily, let alone updating my blogs :( I also had to sadly turned down some event invitations due to this hectic period of mine (Insert Crying voice here). 

So please accept my apology for not posting for so long and please also expect some sporadic postings these days while I'm still taking my time to focus on the most important things right now. I would like to also apologize to my sponsors for all the belated updates, but I will try to make it in these days ahead.

Oh, or maybe not.. I just remember that Friday is Ied Al Adha day which is the second most celebrated day for Muslim, so it would be a big holiday here in Indonesia and I will be with my family to celebrate it, so I guess I'll see you next week? ;p

One of my weaknesses is: a pretty dress.

Because a pretty dress can make me feel like a princess :) That's why I love watching red carpet events because that is the ultimate dress show for me. I could spend a few hours a day just to look at all the fabulous dresses that the celebrities wore, and then spend another few hours daydreaming about the dresses.. ;)

Prom, big birthday bash, wedding party, and big events are a few of those special moments where we get to wear a special gown. I wish there were more special events like that in our daily life, because I wouldn't mind wearing those special dresses more frequently.

When I found a website with a wide selection of gowns and dresses, I would usually sit in front of my laptop for hours, checking out all the gowns and dresses, making images in my head, imagining stocking up my wardrobe with those gowns, and imagining wearing them... ;p

And that's exactly what happened today. I got myself stuck in front of the laptop while looking at a selection of beautiful dresses like these:

How gorgeous are those dresses??!! 

I love browsing for clothes, I could spend hours doing it. And as for today, I specially picked a selection of pretty dresses and beautiful gowns that I want to share with you. Maybe you're in need of some inspirations or maybe you're planning on what to wear to a big event in the near future, well I hope this selections I made could help gives you an idea on which type of dresses that you should wear.

First stop, Prom Dresses.

For ball gowns, I love the brand Jovani, their dresses are exquisitely beautiful and very princess-like... But of course there are many other gorgeous Designer Dresses and other great brands who also make great dresses for balls and royal parties alike. 

Pssttt, for a great ball gown, think "Cinderella" or "Marie Antoinette" ;)

Well I had a lot of fun browsing for gowns and dresses today, and I might do it again tomorrow ;) But for the mean time, I think I'll take a rest now in order to do my next activity :

If you're familiar with looklet.com (an online digital styling website) and loved using it, then you must be one of the gazillion other users who literally cried and frustrated when they decided to discontinue Looklet. I am one of those people.

Even if I have my ups and downs with looklet because sometimes it won't save my looks even after the twentieth attempts (frustrating, really..), but I still love it. I still remain a fan of looklet.com and dreaded the day when they finally shut it down :(

The other looklet wannabe such as couturious.com was also shut down not long after that... And then it left us nothing to express our "digital styling" skills with....

To those who are not familiar with Looklet.com, the website simply allow us to create a look that resemble a fashion spread. 

We can choose the model, and then style her with our own mix n match skills (looklet has tons of outfit items to choose from), and then we can also choose how the facial expression of the model would look like, and then choose the background, and then choose the photo style. It is basically a digitalized paper-doll (remember the paper doll game when you were a child? where you can put different clothes on the paper dolls? well, looklet is very much like that).  

The point is to create your very own digital paperdoll with "models" based on real people and real clothes! Super fun if you like playing dress-up :) 

To give you a glimpse on how looklet really works, here are a couple of my looks that I get to saved from looklet before it went error:

Yep, looklet can help you practice your "stylist wannabe" inner-passion ;p 

I styled all the outfits, background, etc and created all the looks above with the help of looklet.com. If you remember, I have also incorporated some of my looklet looks on my "supposedly regular" 1 Item 4 Ways post.

So anyway, enough with the long lost memory of looklet, today I want to let you know of a new digital styling website that's very similar to looklet! I just found out about it today..

Well, I believe it is from Poland but there's a language option there (Polski & English). It's called Glamstorm.com and it is still in Beta mode, that means it's still in it's try-out period and not fully launched yet, and I did find some little glitches here and there while playing with it. 

It's fun to try it out but the clothing and accessory options are still very limited so you probably won't get a lot of outfit looks from it. The models and the overall look are still hard around the edges and not as smooth as looklet, but since it is still in Beta so let's hope that it will improve soon.

The bonus points from Glamstorm is we can actually change the hair style of the models with the celebrity hair styles provided, and in the near future (hopefully) we can also change the make up of the models too!

To let you know how the results that I got from Glamstorm and to compare it with the looklet looks above, here are a few of my looks that I styled and created with Glamstorm:

The overall look of the platform is similar to looklet so it's easy to use if you're already familiar with looklet. But if you're not familiar with digital styling they also provide a "how-to" video that you can watch for tutorial. It's basically just a simple "pick-and-drag" system. Easy peasy ;)

Even though the results are not as "smooth looking" as looklet but I have high hopes in Glamstorm, hopefully it will continue improving itself and would add more clothing items to style with, so that we can have a new playground to play digital styling again :)
