It's time for another super late Monthly favorites! This is my last month's (November) favorites ;p
I promised I will try to post these posts earlier next month. These Monthly Favorites posts should have been up on this blog at every start of the month, but sometimes the world is not on my side and I have to put up late posts like this ;0

Those are my November favorites. I found these products very useful and lovely to use, and I used these products the most during November. There are two Korean brands and one local Indonesian brand in this list. I also found an old love in my old products stack too ;)
Makarizo Advisor Hair Recovery Instant Treatment with Silk Protein
I first used this when I was still in college and I just fell in love with it again recently when I grabbed this at Watsons. I forgot how good it is for my hair. It's a hair treatment that you use as serum. I used it after I washed and towel-dried my hair. This can also be used as heat protection serum so it will reduce the bad effects caused by your hair-dryer / styling tools.
I also love the scent. I don't remember the scent being this good back in the old days when I first used this. The scent lasts longer in my hair, I can still smell it even after several hours. It also gives a nice bounce and made my hair looks and feels healthier too.
Taman Sari Royal Heritage Cocoa Series Body Shower with Cocoa Butter
This is by a local Indonesian brand and I must say that this is my favorite shower gel right now. I love Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa products, they have great packagings ;)
If you love the smell of chocolate then you must try this one. I love chocolate but I couldn't stand a "too sweet" scent. I've sniffed The Body Shop ChocoMania collection and found it too sweet for my likings. But this one is different. This smells lovely, not a sickening sweet scent but more like a yummy sweet chocolate scent, which i love! So if you love chocolate but don't want a scent that is too sweet or over-powering then this is your best bet. I also love the packaging and how it leaves a faint trail of scent after every shower :)
The Body Shop Beautifying Oil in Strawberry
I got this from The Body Shop event's goodie bag. It's basically a dry oil for body, face, and hair. I was skeptical at first because I have oily skin and you will automatically stay away from any oil products. But then I found the perfect way to use it without feeling greasy: I lathered it to my skin right after I came out from the shower when the skin is still damp. It feels wonderful.
My skin is moist in a matter of seconds, and it leaves behind a healthy shine to the skin too. I also adore the scent. I thought I'm not a fan of strawberry scent but this one has proven me wrong! I also love using it on my hair to add shine and scents. It is really a beautifying oil with a lot of functions and benefits.
Lady Soma Renewal Serum
I got this for a review purpose back then and I'm still loving it until now. I once stopped using it because I want to try other serums, but now I am back to using this. It's an advanced cellular renewal plus collagen enhancement serum. I used this just before I put on my night cream but currently I'm rotating my serum so now I'm using this as my morning serum. It's a thick clear gel which is very light in consistency so the skin absorbed it really fast. That's why I like to use it as a morning serum, because it sinks in fast. Who have an extra time in the morning where we don't usually have much time to do our makeup, right? Well, maybe that's just me ;p
Holika Holika Jewel Light Eyeliner in #03
I love eyeliners because when I do my makeup I love to accentuate my eyes. This is from a Korean brand called Holika Holika. This eyeliner has a sparkly rainbow-colored writings on it (as you can see above) which says "Jewel light", maybe because this range has several jewel-tone colors to choose from? ;)
I bought 2 of these waterproof eyeliners, a forest green and this dark blue one. And I am currently been using this dark blue one for almost everyday. I love the result it gave out. The color is pretty pigmented with a hint of "jewel-light" shines to it. The formula is soft but firm, giving out a clean line. I also love that it's waterproof and the color is just a fantastic alternative from my usual black liner.
Nature Republic Aloe Vera Soothing Gel
I got this as a magazine bonus a while ago. Nature Republic is also a Korean brand. This jar is huge! I don't know if I'm gonna be able to finish this ;p
At first I was confused on what to use this for. I know aloe vera is good for cooling your skin especially if you've spent a lot of time under the sun. But I rarely spend my time under the sun because Jakarta's sun is so damn hot. So I didn't get to use this a lot. But last month I had a really bad rash on my skin that makes me scratch the effected area. And the scratch just made it worse. Then I put on this aloe vera gel. I thought it would help heal the skin faster and the coolness of aloe vera will help calm the itchiness. And it did!
The itchiness was gone and my skin seems to love the aloe vera gel, it calms it down and the cool feeling felt heavenly on my skin. I also started to use it as a hair mask because aloe vera is known as a great hair treatment, and I have been loving this ever since ;)

ReplyDeleteYes Christine, it does smells very good... the strawberry scent in this beautifying oil is different than the shower gel, i dont know why.. but the one in the beautifying oil smells more amazing ;)
