Must-See Website: Booroos

Have you heard about a website called Booroos? If you love online shopping like me then this website is a must-see before you do your online shopping.

Why?

Because Booroos is an online-shopping review website where people can share their own shopping experiences and review the overall service as well as the product quality of an online store.

Booroos has all the reviews you need to make sure that you do shop on a trusted website. Inside Booroos you will find real stories from it's users about their own online shopping experiences.

The website was first created by it's founder Min Yoong, a beautiful Singaporean lady. Based on her own experiences (good and bad) she decided to create a website which aims to help shoppers make a more-informed online shopping decisions. A website where we all could write about our own online-shopping experiences. This way, the rest of us would gain knowledge on which stores are considered good and which ones are to proceed with cautions.

Here is a short excerpt from the website to further explain about Booroos:

"With the growth of online shops particularly in Asia selling anything from antiques to zippers, how do you as a buyer know that you’re getting what you paid for? I think it is such a great idea to create a website like this because as most other online shoppers I too need to make sure whether a store is considerably good or not. Whether their products are as good as the photos on their website, or whether this store sells original products. As customers we do need those answers before we make purchases. And that's where Booroos comes in.

The site covers a lot of online stores, and all the stores are categorized according to type of products, so you can easily find reviews on (for example): online beauty stores or fashion stores.

As Booroos reviews are written by everyday shoppers who shares their own experiences so it is the place where you will get trusted reviews. The fact that Booroos allows online shops to also monitor good and bad reviews from their customers is also another bonus point. This way, they can take criticism (if any) to improve their products and services in the future.

The website is still in their beta stage but it works out just fine. You can find reviews on specific store or you can just browse the category section to read reviews on various stores. This is also a great way to learn about new online store that we might have not heard before. I always love finding new places to shop especially if that place was recommended by a lot of people, and I do found new places to shop at Booroos after browsing their website ;)

I have already joined and even upload my own reviews and shopping experiences there. I thought I'd share my own reviews with the rest of the users just like I love reading their own reviews on the website.

So if you love online shopping (especially if you're Asian based) or if you always worry and wonder about the eligibility of an online store then I recommend to check out Booroos first before you purchase anything, just to make sure before you buy ;) - #smartshopper

Review: D'Eyeko featuring Princess Syahrini False Eyelashes

If you follow me on my social media platforms then you might remember my post on twitter and instagram about these stunning fake lashes from D'Eyeko. You can see the snippet photos of these lashes on my social media posts, and now it's time to uncover them.

If you love wearing fake lashes then D'Eyeko is probably not a foreign name to you. It is one of the most popular and sought-after brand for fake eyelashes, especially here in Indonesia. You can easily find them in most cosmetics / department stores.

D'EYEKO is a popular brand of false eyelashes that have been exporting their products to many countries with major markets in the U.S. and Europe. After their success in overseas markets D'Eyeko is now strengthening it's core in Indonesia by presenting a wide selection of fake eyelashes types and models that have been adapted to the eye-shape and personality of Indonesian women.

They offer a couple of eyelashes variants on their Basic collection, from natural-looking ones that are perfect for daily wear, to a more extravagant ones perfect for parties. Aside from their basic collection D'Eyeko has also been collaborating with celebrities to release some new variants. Olga Lydia, Cherrybelle, and now Syahrini are among the local celebrities who collaborated with D'Eyeko in releasing their premium eyelashes to the market.

The most current collaboration is with the singer Syahrini. The name of the collection is "Princess Syahrini Lashes" - as in her self-proclaimed nickname ;p

With many thanks to D'Eyeko I currently have the opportunity to try out a couple of D'Eyeko Princess Syahrini collection. My first thought when seeing these collection for the first time was: The packaging looks beautiful. I love how the packaging looks. I think it looks exclusive and you can already see the great quality of the lashes just from peeking through the clear plastic ;p

There are five models on the Princess Syahrini collection: Surya Kencana, Cendrawasih, Cakrawala, Katulistiwa, and Merak. I received two of them which are the Cakrawala and Cendrawasih.

Both Cakrawala and Cendrawasih have different styles and features. Cakrawala has thinner long lashes that's perfect for a natural / everyday look, while Cendrawasih has a more bold look to it with a thicker and longer lashes.

Both of these lashes have great quality, the individual lashes are moderately thin, and the color is also very black, just like natural lashes.

Every set of lashes comes complete with an eyelash glue so you don't have to buy a separate glue for the lashes. The glue itself is unique because it looks purple-ish when used (which is cool! ;p) so no more white residue on top of your eyelashes once worn. The power of the glue is medium strong. I wore these eyelashes for a half day and they are still in tact without any signs of fall-off.

Each pair of D'Eyeko eyelashes is a work of art in itself. They are 100% handmade, and it took more than 10 stages of production that requires skill and precision to produce. That explain how good the quality is.

This Princess Syahrini false eyelashes were designed by Syahrini herself. She also introduces a doubles-lashes single band style (Katulistiwa) which is the most unique style on this collection.

After trying out these lashes I can say that I am satisfied with them. The quality of the lashes and glue are great, the lashes looks natural when worn especially the Cakrawala ones. They look great on photos as well, especially the Cendrawasih ones because it has dramatic length and thickness so they look great on camera. These eyelashes can also be reused for a couple of times, I've been wearing the Cakrawala twice now and it still delivers. I just clean the glue and put them back on their tray.

CAKRAWALA

Among the five selections of Princess Syahrini False Lashes, Cakrawala is the most natural looking one. It has natural length, thickness, and flexibility, making it looks like part of your real lashes when worn.

Once you put this on it will look like part of your lashes, especially in photos. If you're looking for a more prominent look on your eyes without all the drama then this is your best bet from the D'Eyeko Princess Syahrini range.

It looks pretty natural and not bold at all, right? I would wear this lashes to a formal events or to a day/afternoon party. Or maybe if I have something special to attend to. You can also wear this to weddings, birthday parties or for a casual fun photoshoots with friends.

CENDRAWASIH

Detailed look:

A very adorable pair, Cendrawasih has a dramatic length and medium thick lashes, as well as a firm visible structure. It is pretty bold when worn but would still look natural enough with a flexible curls at the end.

According to D'Eyeko, this one is perfect for photos because you will get a bold distinctive lashes that will accentuate your eyes. This would also looks gorgeous with a Kebaya. I love that it has a flirty look to it. This Cendrawasih one certainly brings out a romantic look to your face.

I can see myself wearing these to the big events such as gala or an exclusive wedding party in a super posh location. You can also wear this to your prom or any special events. As I said above, this one gives romantic feel to the whole look so pairing it with a kebaya would be super adorable. I would also recommend this one if you have big photoshoot such as family studio-photoshoot or pre-wedding photos.

Overall, I love these D'Eyeko Princess Syahrini fake lashes and am considering of getting the other styles such as the doll-like Surya Kencana and the unique Merak one. I think their quality is great, and they also delivers great look.

Review: Make Up Forever Aqua Liner - shade #5

I first tried the Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Aqua range at the Make Up For Ever Academy and fell in love instantly. Everything I've tried from that range were gorgeous on the skin.

I also got one of the Aqua Shadow which is an eyeshadow on a stick. The colors, the textures, the overall quality are top notch, just like what we expect from a higher-end brand such as Make Up For Ever.

There are a few type of items from the Aqua range but being an eyeliner junkie I decided to try one of their eyeliners which is the Aqua Liner. According to their website, the Aqua Liner is a high precision waterproof liquid eyeliner. Rich in pigments and polymers, its formula guarantees intense color and an outstanding waterproof result.

I've tried their blue turquoise color at the MUFE Academy and many people commented on how gorgeous it looked on my eyes, so when I'm thinking of what color to try out I decided to get the Aqua Liner in shade #5 which on the website is described as "Diamond Turquoise Blue".

First of all, I always love the carton/box packaging of all MUFE products because they look so sleek and elegant with an overall black color with white fonts. I think most of the higher-end brands have similar packaging like this and I can't blame them because this classic combination does looks very exclusive.

Now let's talk about the product inside the carton/box packaging. The product comes in a tube and the tube itself also looks sleek with an outer color resembling the color of the actual product inside. This way, you wouldn't have mistaken it for other colors.

As you can see, the outer packaging has a blue turquoise color, and it is such a beautiful color, isn't it? I can assure you that the color looks gorgeous on the tube as well as on the eyelid ;)

This liquid eyeliner has a pointy tip brush which is pretty soft and not stiff at all. This makes it easier to maneuver and control how thick or how thin you want your eyeliner to be.

The formula dries pretty quickly on the eyelid so it reduces the possibility of smudging everywhere. And as I told you above, the special applicator is very ergonomic so it's possible to easily apply an ultra precise line on your eyelid.

Another fact that I love is although this eyeliner is waterproof but it's easy to remove with a waterproof makeup remover. That's always a bonus on my dictionary because I hate stubborn waterproof makeup that's hard to be removed ;p

I love how the color is so vibrant and true to shade. It is also waterproof and I might add "also oil-proof" because when I wore this for more than 6 hours it didn't budge, smudge, or melt on my oily eyelid.

I also did a water test for the purpose of this review. You can see on below photo that the color is still there although I have poured water over it and even rub it lightly a little bit.

Overall, I love it and am thinking of getting another color ;p

I'm sure that from my review above you can see how great the quality of this eye liner is. Aside from the formula, the easy application and the waterproof feature I also really love the color of this one because I almost always receive compliments every time I used this eyeliner.

Aside from the color above, this Aqua Liner is also available in a wide range of vibrant shades with matte, iridescent and diamond finishes. I saw the Diamond Multicolor Black shade on the website and now I'm very curious with the color ;p It's definitely on my wish list now.

Oh one more thing, I have an information from MUFE that they would like to extend their sincere apology to all of MUFE fans out there in Indonesia regarding the low stock condition that they previously had since last December. Like many other importers, they were facing a very tough situation with the new Trade Regulation. But rest assured now, because the MUFE team has overcome the obstacles and had complied with all and any new regulations from the government.

Make Up For Ever is now back in full force, returning once again to the normal stock level so that they can provide us (their customers) with our favorite products again. Yay!
