Review: NYX The Curve
11:58:00 PM
Eyeliners are my playground so when I got this unique-shaped eyeliner from NYX I was so excited to try it out. I even used it on my FOTD post for the IBB Make Up Challenge that I posted yesterday!
As you can see above, the shape of this eyeliner is not the same as regular eyeliners. Some of my friends even asked me what is this weird looking thing when I posted the picture on my twitter and path ;p
This is a new kind of eyeliner from NYX called:
The Curve
The Curve
As you can see above, it has a very unique shape unlike your usual eyeliner. The shape makes
people wonder, and I admit I was also curious when this first went out to
the market.
I am so lucky to be able to try it first hand and if you
also like eyeliners like me, then you can read my review below..
According to the website, NYX The Curve is an innovative, ergonomic shape of eyeliner that makes applying liquid liner
mistake-proof. The grip zone provides just the right hold to make
application precise.
It is also water-resistant, quick-drying, long lasting and has an intense color payoff. Not to mention that the handle shape makes it easier to hold and maneuver, especially to create that wing tip at the corner of your eyes.
See the thin line on the left & a thicker line on the right? |
The unique shape of
this eyeliner really makes a difference. I think it looks like a pistol, LOL.
Usually eyeliners come in a pencil/pen or a tube form, but this one has a handle so you can easily just grab the handle and then do your lines as usual. It makes it easier to hold and maneuver. You can also do a thick line or a thin line easily, whatever shape you like!

Aside from the
unique shape, it also has a pointy felt-type tip. The color is pretty
bold and matte, but you have to layer it for several times to make it
really black and bold. Another thing that I love from it is the durability. It
usually would last for many hours for me without smudging or
melting. So this is pretty excellent and I do really love this eyeliner.
The unique shape of the eyeliner makes it easy to flick it at the end, creating an effortless wing-tip. The pointy shape of the eyeliner itself also makes it easier to create a thin line near the inside of your eyes. I also use it to create a super thin line on the outer side of the lower area of my eyes.
Although it looks pretty big compared to regular eyeliners but this is very light in weight. Oh and one more thing, with this eyeliner I can also do my right eye using my left hand effortlessly. Maybe it's the unique shape that makes it easy to be used both with the right hand and the left hand.
Overall, it is a very great eyeliner with a great performance and durability, perfect for making that wing-tip, and it's also perfect for creating thin or thick line effortlessly.

Below are a couple of looks that I did with this eyeliner. The last photo is from my IBB Make Up Challenge post that I posted yesterday with a "Bling it On!" theme, and I decided to do a "diamante" look ;p
