APRIL Favorites
12:29:00 AMOkay, here's my last month (April)'s favorite products..
About half of them are products that I got from companies and brands that I have tried recently, and I am so thankful to be able to try new stuffs that I haven't tried before and then fell in love with them. The Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo, for instance. I have always want to try a dry shampoo and when I first introduced to this Dry Shampoo from Oscar Blandi, I fell in love instantly ;)
I also finally tried the famous Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil and instantly fell in love with it too. It's surprisingly practical and give clean results in just a few minutes! I have a few other products that I've also been loving last month so if you're curious please keep on reading below..
Here's the complete list of my fave products for April...
From top row to bottom row, starting from left to right:
Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick
Laneige Water Sleeping Pack
NYX The Curve Eyeliner
Shu Uemura Whiteefficient Cleansing Oil
Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray
Clear Anti Hair-Fall Daily Scalp Tonic
Too Cool For School Angel Hand Shea Butter Hand Cream
Maybelline Color Bloom Color Changing Lip Balm in Pink Blossom
Those are the products that I used most often during April. My hair was pretty much rebellious during April so I used a lot of the dry shampoo for days that I couldn't be bothered with shampooing. I also been wanting to put the Clear Anti-Fall Scalp Tonic into my favorite list for so long because I love it. Below are some short details and mini reviews on each products:
Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray
I have been quite busy since last month because I have so many things to do, from the freelance works to the renovation project and moving-out preparations. There's just so many things to do with just a little time on my hands. That's why I mostly couldn't be bothered with makeup and hairdo on most days, sometimes I even forgot to wash my hair (eww.. eww.. super eww..). And that's where the Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo came to the rescue. I have reviewed this dry shampoo before. This is the Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray and it works perfectly fine for me. It has "saved" me from freakin' bad hair day quite a lot of times during last month. And I am now curious with the powder version ;p
Shu Uemura Whiteefficient Cleansing Oil
For all this time I have been putting off trying on the popular cleansing oil because I have combination oily skin so I'm afraid that a cleansing oil would feel greasy on my face (because it's "oil", right?). Well it turned out that I'm wrong. Thanks to Shu Uemura I was able to tried out the Whiteefficient Cleansing Oil from their many range, and now I am totally hooked! It's not greasy or gritty, doesn't leave any residue, and it lift off my makeup perfectly, even my waterproof mascaras. My face is clean in just a couple of minutes. The cleaning property in this cleansing oil is superb! You can read my full review HERE.
Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick
I have always loved BB Creams ever since it came out and popularized by the Asian market. For me personally, BB Cream is more comfortable to use in this hot humid Indonesian climate compared to foundation. Sometimes foundation is too heavy to be worn under the sun, so I mostly wear foundation for my night events. During the day I prefer to use BB Cream because it's simple and practical, and gives out pretty great results too. This BB Stick is even more practical to use, so no wonder I fell in love with it instantly. You can read my full review HERE if you want.
Laneige Water Sleeping Pack
My skin was acting out last month. Maybe because of all the stress that I have or the lack of time to do a proper skincare like I usually do. My naturally combination-oily skin turned DRY last month. I was stunned because I never experienced a severe dryness condition on my skin before. I freaked out a little bit because of this and started to change my routines to incorporate some new regimens that I thought would be perfect to combat the dry skin. This Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is one of them. I had this for a while but been neglecting it, until my skin turned against me. This is a Korean "sleeping pack" which means you use this as a "face mask" just before you go to sleep, and then you leave it on until you wake up in the morning. It's not like your usual face mask though, so it wont leave any marks or residue on your pillows ;p This has helped me a lot with adding some extra moisture to my dry skin.
Clear Anti Hair-Fall Daily Scalp Tonic
As I told you above, I've been wanting to put this product on my Favorite List for a while because I loved it and been using it non stop since I purchased it. One of my hair problem was "fall-out". I always have fall-out ever since I grew my hair long. You should see my bathroom floor if I washed my hair, you could find strands of hairs everywhere, LOL. So now I'm using this anti hair-fall scalp tonic from Clear and been simply loving it. I love the scent, I love that it doesn't feel greasy on my hair/scalp and it also doesn't weigh my hair down or making it limp like any other hair serums. I also noticed a little improvement on my hair, well at least after washing I seem to have less fall-out on my hair brush every time I put this on my scalp before combing ;)
Maybelline Lip Smooth Color Bloom Lip Balm
I am obsessed with any makeup that has the ability to "change",
especially if they "change/adapt to our skin/personal shades", for
example: this color changing lip balm from Maybelline. When I first
learned that this lip balm can gradually change into our own
personalized pink shade, I went out to hunt it. This lip balm is
actually clear in color but when applied to the lips it would gradually
change into a pink color that automatically suits our skin tone. So this
would give you your own pink shade that only perfect for you. Sounds
pretty amazing, right? And it really does just that! I'm planning to do a
full review of this soon because I'm crazy about these color changing
lip balms!
Too Cool For School Angel Hand Shea Butter Hand Cream
Aside from eyeliners (and mascaras, and lip balms, and lip glosses) I also love hand creams. I have slowly been building my hand creams/lotions stash and I have been enjoying trying them out. This is actually a freebie I got from a magazine. It's a full size product and it actually took me quite a while to finish it because the texture is quite thick so I usually only need a small amount every time I use it. You can see from above photo that I still hasn't finished this one yet. I love the formula which is quite fast to sink in. I also love how it moisturizes my hands and didn't leave any left-over residue on the surface of my skin. And last but not least, I love the packaging ;)
NYX The Curve Eyeliner
I
love eyeliners and I wear eyeliners 99% every time I go out ;p I love
trying out new eyeliners, especially unique ones like this from NYX.
This is a liquid eyeliner and the unique shape really intrigues me at
first. After trying it out I find that the shape makes it easier to
maneuver especially when making cat-eyes. I also love the shape of the
tip as well as the formula which is waterproof and didn't smudge at all
on my oily eyelid. You can read my full review of this eyeliner HERE.
That's it for my April Favorites. What are your current favorites?
