It's been quite a long time since my last Event report post. I had to decline several events in the last two months due to my tight deadline freelance jobs, and also due to the sad family events in which 2 of my extended family members passed away during the last few weeks - this makes a total of 4 extended family members that has passed away for the last 6 months :(  I really hope that there would be no more sad news in the family on the coming months, Amien.

So anyway, this event was one of the event that I could attend, and it was the media release event for the launching of the new Carolina Herrera CH Eau De Parfum Sublime. 

It was a small intimate event at one of the assembly room in Hotel Mulia, Senayan. And the presentation of the perfume was executed in a very unique way unlike previous perfume launching events that I've attended before.

To start the story, this perfume is the latest fragrance by the designer Carolina Herrera. Inspired by the allure of sophisticated, elegant and sensual woman she set out to discover 5 quintessential female traits that make a woman so irresistible and to capture them in fragrance.

The Casablanca room at Hotel Mulia was divided into 5 smaller areas / "small rooms", each with a distinctive unique decor to represent the elements of the perfume. The 5 elements / essential traits are: 

Witty - Bergamot

Eternal - Rose

Enigmatic - Orchid

Singular - Passionflower

Attractive - Patchouli and Leather

It was such a pretty unique exhibition / presentation which is very interesting for me. The 5 rooms are each very unique,  and all the properties in each room were straightly brought down here from the original Carolina Herrera workshop room. How amazing is that?

So each room represent each of the 5 traits. We toured each room while being explained about what each room represents, and each time we enter a room we were also given a sample of the room's coordinated scent (bergamot / patchouli / rose / passionflower / orchid).

The Perfume :

The bottle resemble a tiny purse, with purple color and gold accent. It's also covered with a lavish purple leather and a really cute purple bow with a gold insignia charm. Very sophisticated yet so girly. Such a feminine bottle indeed. >> And, did I mention that I like the purple color of the bottle? ^__^

This perfume is the final result of the 5 essential traits combined together :
The Bergamot represents the Ingenious side of a woman, and her refined sense of humour.
The Rose, with its exquisite aroma and infinite beauty reminds us of eternal Femininity.
Captivating and Enigmatic like an Orchid, the woman is irresistible mystery.
The Singular presence and beauty of a woman can be perceived in the passion flower.
Represented by the patchouli and leather, the Attractive side of the woman is a reflection of her inner world.

This perfume is created for a woman who is sophisticated, feminine, sensual, passionate, and with a sense of humour. Carolina has composed this new essence inspired by the quality and strong character and personality of the Chypre notes, while giving them a new twist.

Chypre-based perfumes have traditionally embodied the ideal of femininity, and this CH Eau De Parfum Sublime is a modern fragrance which reflects modern femininity with a touch of vintage.

My Take:

As I told you above, I really really adore the bottle and the whole packaging. I think it really represent femininity, sensuality, sophistication, as well as a little bit of fun. I would proudly display this on my vanity because it is such a very pretty bottle resembling a cute little purse, and the color is a gorgeous purple shade. Very captivating and enigmatic indeed ;)

I also fell in love with the scent when I first sniffed it on the event. The first spray may come on a little strong and powdery, but then it gradually changed into the scent of a bouquet of florals. Then it dries down to a more leathery notes which to me smells elegant yet has that touch of girliness in it. A very sophisticated floral scent with a leathery touch, which would be perfect for mature women as well as those in a younger age range (20 something and up).

I love the patchouli and rose in it. It's sweet but yet very elegant and sensual too. The scent is literally like a bouquet of florals with just a tint of deep tones in it. I think this probably is an evening scent but you can still wear it as day scent for a special occasion or if you have special "day events" that you want to attend.
