JULY Favorites

First of all, HAPPY EID AL-FITR to those of you who celebrate it!!
I was taking a short leave from this blog to celebrate Eid Al Fitr and it was a very blessed time to be able to celebrate it after a whole month of fasting. And I also cherished the moment when all my big families gathers, eat good food, and chats like there's no tomorrow ;) I feel so very blessed to have a big joyous families that I could enjoy spending time with...
So how was your Eid day? I really hope it was a blast too :D
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, let's move on to the actual post which is apparently another late post of last month's (July) Favorite products!
Just a note before we start: I want to keep this post simple because today is the first official work day after the long Eid holidays, and my employer already sent me 3 assignments to be done by tomorrow, so I don't really have time to edit many photos now, I hope you don't mind that this Monthly Favorites post don't have individual product photos like the usual.
My monthly favorite products are mostly face products this time, I was taking a good care of my
face during July because I want to look good on Eid day, LOL.
I also
have one hair product thrown-in because I routinely used it during July until now, and I fell in love with the
product and it's actually a local product by one of Indonesian most
popular hair expert.
My Favorite Products for the month of July:
Starting from back row, from left to right:
Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel
Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel
Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Solution
Rudy Hadisuwarno Hair Intense Repair Serum
The Balm Girls Lipstick in "Ima good kisser"
Bee Balm All-Natural Balm
Skin Food Black Sugar Wash-Off Mask
The Body Shop Cheek Color in #01
So to start it off, like I said I was taking care of my face routinely during the month of July. I made sure I didn't skipped any cleansing routine especially when I wore makeup even if it's just a bit of primer and eyebrow pencil. So that's why I've been regularly using one of my favorite cleansing product which is the Bioderma Sensibio H20 (review) with it's Micellar solution that looks like water but can wiped off all the makeup layers in our face just by using cotton pads. I usually wiped my face with this solution over and over again until I see that my cotton pads are clean. This is simple effective cleansing without all the hassle, which is my kind of thing.
I also used face mask quite regularly during July in order to take extra care of my face, and I used the Skin Food Black Sugar Wash-Off Mask (review) which I love very much since the first time I tried it on. This feels good on my skin and I like to scrub it off my face gently after leaving it as a mask. I can also see the results which is incredible for my skin.
After cleaning my face I also made sure to put on some moisturizers and because my face is tend to be dry after a face wash so I use a hydrating moisturizer for my everyday routine, and my choice of moisturizer is this Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel which feels very calming and soothing for my combination skin. Love love love this hydrating moisturizer!
I also try to take extra care for my hair by using this wonderful Rudy Hadisuwarno Hair Intense Repair Serum that I got from my BeautyTreats box. When I first tried this on after I
washed my hair I was so excited with the results. My hair was silky
smooth, felt light and airy, and it smells great too (although the smell
didn't linger very long though). But I love that it didn't weigh my
hair down like most hair products do, and it's not greasy at all. Score!
This product has argan oil in it and I think that what makes it works
wonderfully fine for my hair.
For the makeup part, I've been using my new lipstick that I got from winning Merilla May's giveaway just a while ago. It is The Balm Girls Lipstick in shade "Ima goodkisser". It's my first time trying on The Balm lipstick and I fell in love with the formula which is non-drying, doesn't seeps in to the fine lines on my lips, and I also like the color of this one. Most of all, I really love the outer box packaging ;p The actual packaging of the lipstick is actually just a boring plain bullet, that's why I always put it inside the original box and bring the box everywhere with me because I love the box more than the actual packaging ;p
I also found another new love last month which is the fantastic Bee Balm (review). I have raved about this all-purpose balm before on this blog and I really meant what I said. I always love trying and using natural products because I know it's healthier and it's better for the environment too, and this Bee Balm is made of all natural products that works wonderfully amazing especially for my dry lips. I also love the way it gives a subtle shine on my lips :)
A good ol' makeup product that I rediscovered from my own stash last month is The Body Shop Cheek Color in shade #01. I actually have mentioned about this Cheek Colour before in this blog for several times, and I even put up another TBS Cheek Color as one of my favorite products back in October but it was the shade #02 which is a bit more rosey. This one is a pale rose shade that would probably not show on darker skin tone. I have a medium tan skin and this almost didn't show on my medium dark skin, but I still love using it because if I put a lot of layers of this blush-on it will show just a hint of that rosey glow on my cheeks, making it looks like I have a natural glow on my cheeks ;)
Alright, that's it for my July Favorites. Have you tried any of the products above? What are your current favorites?
