I've been seeing this "Colors of the Rainbow" tag all over the youtube land, and then several beauty bloggers did it too.

And then when Abigail (the owner of the blog Shrinking Wallet) did this tag on one of her post, she also tags her readers to do this tag with her. So I accepted her tag challenge and here is my version of the tag...

First of all, from what I saw and read, there seems to be no definite rules to do this tag. Well, basically you just choose one product out of your stash / collection that represents each color of the rainbow. And the colors of the rainbow are:

(In western spelling) ROY-G-BIV = red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
(Or in Indonesian spelling) MEJIKU-HIBINIU = merah, jingga, kuning, hijau, biru, nila, ungu.

Some girls who did the tag also added two additional colors beside the above colors, which are: Pink and Multi-color. So I'm gonna play along with the main basic colors + pink + multicolor. 

Here are my Colors of the Rainbow:

Bioderma Sensibio H20 

Some people think the bottle is towards more pink than red, but I see it as red so I'm putting this as my "Red" for this Rainbow tag ;) - I've heard about this amazing make up remover for so long and I am finally glad to be able to buy this locally now, as Bioderma finally would be available here on 1st September! If you still haven't tried this yet I suggest you do, because this is my HG instant makeup remover now. So practical to use, you only need this bottle and a stack of cotton pads to remove all of your makeup even your waterproof mascara.

ORANGE

Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Blush

I know the box looks a little bit dirty and dull but the original color of this box is a deep orange shade. The blush inside is also a deep orange shade so I put this up as my "Orange" for the rainbow tag. I really love this blush. First of all, I adore the packaging. It got this cute vintage / pin-up thing that really catches my fancy. I also love the coral color of the blush when swiped on my cheek, and this is pretty pigmented too. Definitely one of my favorite coral blushes ;)

YELLOW

The Body Shop Strawberry Beautifying Oil

Although the scent is strawberry but the bottle and the liquid is yellow instead of red which usually represent "strawberry". When trying to pick up the yellow color for this tag I was torn between this product and the yellow Tony Moly Tangerine Hand Cream, but in the end I decided to put up this one instead because I love this beautifying oil so much. I have featured this in my November 2012 monthly fave post and it is still one of my favorite finding during the last 2 years ;)

GREEN

Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel

Etude House is a very popular Korean brand, and this product has been featured frequently on my blog and I keep mentioning it because I do love it and been using it everyday as my daily moisturizer. The gel formula really suits my oily-combination skin and it does give a soothing feeling to the skin once applied. This makes my skin stays moist during the day without adding more oil to it. Definitely recommended.

BLUE

Holika Holika Aqua Fantasy Cream

This is also from another popular Korean brand called Holika Holika. I actually bought this because of the super unique and cute packaging (;p) but I was also in need of a good moisturizer that I can use at night to fight the dryness from the air-con. So far I'm very liking the formula because this really soothes and calm my skin down, as well as giving moisture all through the night. This is actually not a night moisturizer but I just use it at night because of the hydrating properties in it. I also really love the blue water-drop shape of the packaging!

INDIGO

Holika Holika Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner in #3

I love the Jewel light eyeliner series from Holika Holika because they have gorgeous rich colors with hints of sparkles in it (hence the name, "jewel-light"). Shade #3 is a navy blue / indigo color with soft subtle shimmers that glides on really smoothly on the lids. Maybe you can't see it on the screen but this eyeliner has indigo color on it's packaging which resemble the shade inside. I also featured this on my November 2012 Monthly Favorites post because I really love how it gives a soft definition on my eyes.

VIOLET

Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow in Purple Haze

This is a rather new item in my eyeshadow collection. When I first saw this rich purple color I immediately wanted to put it on my shopping cart. This is actually from the old version of Urban Decay eyeshadow (if I'm not mistaken) and I love how rich and gorgeous the purple color is. This also looks gorgeous when swatched and when I put it on my lids.

 This is a more close-up look on the Holika Holika Jewel-Light Eyeliner (for "Indigo"), 
and the Urban Decay Purple Haze Matte Eyeshadow (for "Violet").

Now those are the main colors of the rainbow, but as I've told you at the beginning of this post I would also do the additional colors which most of the bloggers/youtubers also added to their Colors of the Rainbow tag, and those colors are: Pink and Multicolors.

So after rummaging through my stash, here are the items that I chose for the pink and multicolor tag:

Philosophy Retractable Face Brush

I decided to feature this favorite travel brush of mine as the "Pink" in my rainbow tag because I simply adore this cute little brush from Philosophy's Color of Grace series. The pink color looks dull now because I've had this for so long and this is the only brush that I always bring with me in my daily makeup bag everywhere I go. This is just a simple retractable face brush (that's perfect for travel) encased in a cute pink and silver packaging with a white fluffy brush strands inside ;)

MULTICOLOR

MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose

Although I got this blush from the MUA big sale several months ago but I actually haven't used this blush yet until now ;p And that's because I really love looking at the multicolored shades in it and I don't want to ruin the beauty ^o^ This is probably my most favorite product in my stash that I'm too afraid to use because I just don't want to ruin the colors, LOL - but I know someday I'll have to open this up and use it anyway, but in the mean time I'm gonna let it sit beautifully on my vanity, looking pretty ;)

Okay, so that is it! I finally did this tag which I have been wanting to do for a little while.
