[FRAGRANCE] Picks : Sweater Weather
1:01:00 AM
Since I have been really into fragrance (even more) lately, so I thought I'm gonna make a new seasonal series which would be called : Fragrance Picks.
I would be featuring some of my picks for fragrances that I think would be perfect to wear to certain occasion / season. I love to rotate my scented products or my fragrances to match the weather. For example: in this cold rainy season I would usually wear heavier or warmer scents, while during summer I would opt for a lighter fruity scents instead.
In this sweater weather I have rotated my fragrance picks and bring out the more powdery / winter-appropriate scents that I have on my stash. So here are my fragrance picks for this sweater weather:
I always use a body spray right after I shower, and I only wear perfumes when I go out. For body spray options I'm bringing out my favorite winter scent from Bath & Body Works which is the BBW Frosted Snowberry Fragrance Mist. This is a favorite of mine, and I wish this is not a limited edition scent from BBW. My nose picked up a sweet icy popsicle smell from this fragrance mist, which always uplift my spirit and somehow makes me happy when I smelled this ;)
My other option for body spray is the Belia Earth Fantasy Mist Cologne which I bought in emergency when I forgot to bring my body mist when I had a stay-over a couple months ago. This has earthy scent which is a little bit on the warming side, so this fits perfectly for the colder weather.
For perfume options my choice go to these three perfumes:
Lady Gaga Fame : This rather mysterious sultry perfume comes in black fluid form with "tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchid, black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combined essences of saffron and honey drops". I can only described it as 'sweetly dark'. It's not too sweet or too girly, but it's also not light and airy. It's a bit on the complicated side, if you know what I mean ;p
Balmain Ivoire : The strongest smelling perfume I had, this is rich and powdery but it leaves a floral scent trail on me - which is lovely. The patchouli, vetiver, and cedarwood as the base of this perfume really makes it stand out in a warm sophisticated way.
The Body Shop White Musk : I think this is a perfume for every season (;p) but Musk is always perfect for warmer weather. Musk is sensual and velvety, so it's great to be worn during the colder months (at least I think so ;p).
Now on to candles, my current favorite candles to burned during the rain or on cold rainy nights are these two newbies:
Simple Indulgence Amberwood & Cedar : This is by far my most favorite candle scent in my candle stash right now. I didn't even have to burn it to smell the wonderful woodsy scent of this candle. It smells just like a thick green forest - which is perfect to warm the room's atmosphere.
Candle-Lite Soft Cotton Blanket : I usually have a love and hate relationship with cotton scents. They are mostly not a hit for me such as the Sea Island Cotton scent from Bath & Body Works which to me smells like detergent, but this Soft Cotton Blanket candle is a rare hit! I love the soft clean smell of this candle, and when it's cold outside I love to burn this on my bedside table to give me that relaxing feeling. I would def stock up on this the next time I go to Ace ;)
So those are my picks for this sweater weather season. I might do another one near Valentine's day, to let you know my picks for romantic scents (^o^) So please stay tune for that ...
What are your current favorite fragrance?
