[BODYCARE] Routine : Cold Weather Edition
1:54:00 AM
This post is supposed to be published back in January but life got in the way and I couldn't keep up with my own schedule, so because of that....here is yet another super late post >_<
If you're a regular reader around here you would probably have noticed by now that I love trying on different kinds of scented products (soaps / shower gels / body wash / body lotions / body spray, you name it..). And I have tons of them in my product stash which I use in rotation (depending on the weather, the occasions, or just simply depends on my mood).
So as I was saying, this post is supposed to be up back in January when the weather was still cold with heavy rains. So I rotate my body care routine to include products that has warmer scents which would be perfect to use in colder weather. With that in mind, here are the products that I used in my body care routine :
I know to some of you this post would not mean much. I mean, of course you can just use any scented products at anytime of the year without having to worry about the scents, but this is just my personal preference and how I like to do mine. Don't judge me as "lebay" or "ribet" yah hehehe.. I just love scented products and I love rotating the scents based on my mood or weather or occasions. I guess it's just one of my weirdness ;p
So anyway, here in the basket I have some body washes and body scrubs options which I picked out from my stash. I usually have 2 - 3 options of body wash / scrubs in my shower because I love to have options. I also have some picks of body lotions and hand creams that I recently used :
A side note: I love to layer the same scent to maximize the scent-throw even more, so you will see a couple of body care series with the same scent here on my basket...
- Taman Sari Royal Heritage Javanese Foot Scrub Gel
- Rainforest Coffee & Cacao Body Scrub
- 3W Clinic Snail Hand Cream
- L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream
- Taman Sari Royal Heritage Cocoa Series Body Shower
- Taman Sari Royal Heritage Cocoa Series Body Scrub
- Taman Sari Royal Heritage Cocoa Series Body Lotion
- The Body Shop White Musk Sumptuos Silk Shower Gel
- The Body Shop White Musk Smooth Satin Body Lotion
- Cottage Vanilla Softening Shower Gel
- Udderly Smooth Shea Butter Foot Cream
Vanilla, cocoa, and musk are more into "warmer" scents so I picked them out from my product stash. I usually would use my TBS (The Body Shop) Ginger Sparkle Shower Gel during colder weather because the ginger scent seems so "warming" to me, but I left it at my in law's house for when I have stay-over, so I replace it with my new favorite: Cottage Vanilla Shower Gel ;)
The Cocoa Series from Taman Sari Royal Heritage (which is a popular local brand here) are also my favorites because I just love the bittersweet cocoa scent and layering the shower gel with the scrub and body lotion really made me smell like chocolate all day ;p
Colder weather also means dry skin so I'm having my hand creams near me all the time. I'm currently using the L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream at night before I go to bed, and the 3W Clinic Snail Hand Cream for my daily hand cream.
Last but not least, a dry feet is a no-no, so I made sure I took extra care of my already ugly feet. Well, at least in my mind I tried to do the extra effort, while in reality I mostly forgot to do the extra foot scrubbing in the shower. For those days that I remember to scrub my feet I used the Taman Sari Royal Heritage Javanese Foot Scrub Gel and followed with my trusted Udderly Smooth Shea Butter Foot Cream.
So what are the body care products that you currently been using? Link it up! ;)
Hugs and Kissies,

Hi Yuri! I really want to try Taman Sari Heritage products now! I have to check them out next time I go to the supermarket or mall :) By the way, what do you mean by cold weather? Because I'm always so hot in Jakarta haha
ReplyDeleteHi Lucie,
ReplyDeleteLOL compared to a European like you it's not cold at all here ;p We do have 80% summer weather but when it's raining all day non stop and spending the most of the day in an air-conned room it's pretty chilly for me who shivers easily ;p
By the way, try the Taman Sari brand, they are pretty good. Have you tried their actual spa? I recommend it too ;)
I really appreciate all your comments, thanks for commenting here and sharing some love !
I will return the favors by checking out and comment back on your blog ^o^
