Anyway, since it's still early Ramadhan days so I figured I'd just post something easy today because I'm fasting ;) So here's an easy outfit post from my previous short holidays. Hubby took a leave from work and we went to Puncak and stayed at Novus Resort Hotel & Spa (reviewed here) which is a very pretty hotel. I also wrote about my 2 days Puncak trip (in bahasa) on my other blog TIGERLILY's BOOK incase you want to read the reviews about several places that I went to in Puncak.
Anyway, back to the story, after going to the mountainous area we also went to the beach several days later to complete our short holidays :)

Puncak holiday (cold weather / mountainous area) :

We arrived in Puncak area early in the morning and had breakfast in the new Cimory riverside restaurant. The river view was wonderful and because we arrived early and it was a work day so the place is empty and we were able to enjoy the place in a much less busy environment. I recommend getting here early in the morning to avoid the visitor rush.

I decided to wore my romper that day for a breezy no-hassle look, perfect for a holiday. I also only brought my newly purchased flat sandals with me so I can walk around easily. I almost never bring heels when I'm on holiday break unless the itinerary says so.

I've had the romper for quite a long time but have only worn it three times because it is slightly bigger on me although it is a size small. Oh well...

After that we went straight to the hotel to check-in. After enjoying our welcome drink by the pool we went out to have dinner in one of the most classic landmark in Puncak area which is the Rindu Alam restaurant, located in one of the highest point.

Because the restaurant was located in the colder area so I had to change into a warmer outfit. I changed entirely and worn my jeans and sweater instead.

I am loving this blue sweater with elbow patch that I got several months ago, but since it is super thick so I can't wear it frequently because Jakarta is so hot. I can only wear it in colder climate so it's the perfect time to bring it out. I purchased it on an Insta store (you know those online store in Instagram) and then posted about it on my insta page. And then I found out that the store has used my insta photo without my permission ;( - that makes me kinda irritated a bit and I think I don't wanna shop there again ;p

On another note, I also purchased a new bag from Guess which was on a deep discount and it was the first time I wore it ;)

The next morning our schedule is to visit several places in Puncak area. I will talk about this in more details on my other blog (TIGERLILY'S BOOK). We started early in the morning by exploring the hotel where they have a rabbit garden (so cute!). And then we continue with breakfast before getting ready for a check-out.

I wore a jeans and sweater for breakfast and for exploring the hotel area which is quite big. They have a spa, rabbit garden, childrens activity area, as well as sports arena and a really beautiful landscape. You can also ride horses by renting them but sadly there was no time for us.

Last but not least, I changed outfit again just before check-out. I wore another long sleeve to beat the cold breeze because we would be eating in another classic landmark which is the Puncak Pass Resort & Restaurant which is also located in one of the highest point of Puncak.

It was a very sunny day so the sun was still above us despite the breezy air. We had some little leisure walk in several areas in Puncak and went back to Jakarta just before the rain started to fall. 

Oh by the way, my favorite traveling bag is the Tokidoki for Le Sportsac bag because it has many compartments so I can bring lots of stuffs with me that I need for traveling. I almost always carry this bag with me whenever I'm on holiday breaks ;p

A couple of days after our short getaway to Puncak, we also went to the city beach in Ancol just to enjoy the scenery. We had an afternoon walk in the beach, rode the gondola, and tried to have a meal in Segarra Cafe but sadly it was fully booked so we headed to the new cafe by the sea which called Columbus. We have to walk the boardwalk first towards the sea because the cafe is located off shore. The view of the beach from the cafe was really nice at night but the wind is quite strong. We ordered some hot drinks and it goes cold in just a few minutes, LOL.

I went with casual stripes dress and my most comfortable sandals which is my Dr. Scholl sandals ;p It's really a simple and no-hassle look because I don't want to be bothered with the scorching hot sun and windy air. I also bring along my H&M sunglasses which is my newest pair of sunglasses ;)

As promised on my previous Maybelline Color Show Launching post, here is a short review on their newly launched Color Show Nail Polish..


I was given four different shades of the Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish to try at home and the shades that I got in my box were:

- Keep Up The Flame : A true red color
- Hooked On Pink : A neon pink / fuchsia color
- Velvet Wine : Dark crimson purple / red magenta color with soft glitters
- Silver Linings : Iridescent silver color with a hint of shimmer


Just like the newly launched makeup line, the Color Show Nail Polish is also surprisingly very pretty. This is my first time trying out Maybelline nail polish and I was surprised to see the vivid colors and the quality of the polish itself. 

The color range include some matte/solid polish as well as glitters and metallics. I haven't tried all four of them yet but I did tried two of them which were the Hooked On Pink and Silver Linings.

The Hooked On Pink is a fuchsia pink shade with iridescent glitters that looks absolutely beautiful, while the Silver Linings is a metallic silver shade that goes really well with the Hooked On Pink (and I bet it goes well with other shades too!).

I really love the color and the quality of the nail polishes. The colors all looks very beautiful and application is quite easy too. The  brush is not flimsy and the color looks quite bold on first application but with a second layer you'll get a more vivid color.

Both of the nail polishes that I've tried have a somewhat iridescent look to it, with subtle glitter effect. Very gorgeous in real life! I got a lot of comments when wearing these colors on my nails ^_^

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the results and they lasted quite well too. The color options are a plenty and it comes in different textures too. You can have your pick on bright or darker shades. The metallics are also worth to buy especially if you love doing accents on your nails.

Beberapa bulan lalu saya melihat ada pembersih muka baru di rak supermarket. Berhubung saya pernah pakai beberapa produk Himalaya Herbals sebelumnya dan saya cocok-cocok aja sama produknya, jadi saya memutuskan untuk mencoba si pembersih wajah keluaran Himalaya Herbals ini.

Waktu dulu pas saya pertama kali liat sih baru dua varian yang keluar, yaitu Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash sama Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash, tapi sekarang saya lihat sudah ada varian baru lainnya. Karena saya cuma punya dua ini jadi saya hanya membahas yang dua varian ini aja ya..

Baiklah, pertama-tama... buat yang mungkin belum kenal sama Himalaya Herbals, itu adalah brand produk kecantikan dan kesehatan yang berbasis multinasional. Brand asal India ini sekarang sudah tersebar ke berbagai negara dengan kantor perwakilan di India dan Amerika.

Himalaya Herbals mengkhususkan diri pada produk farmasi dengan konsep ayurveda. Dengan bantuan teknologi modern Himalaya Herbals menghasilkan produk ayurveda yang dikemas secara modern. Ayurveda atau Ayurvedic medicine adalah sebuah bentuk pengobatan tradisional Hindu yang berawal dan berkembang di India. Saya pakai sabun wajah ini sore / malam hari. Kadang saya pakai setiap hari tapi kadang saya hanya pakai setiap dua hari sekali. Saya suka scrub nya yang terasa halus dan tidak kasar karena kalau untuk kulit muka saya cenderung lebih suka scrub yang halus. Saya juga suka hasil akhirnya, setiap kali habis pakai sabun ini wajah saya terasa lebih bersih dan kesat, dan dengan pemakaian rutin wajah saya terlihat lebih sehat dan cerah.

Sama seperti "saudara"-nya di atas, Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash ini adalah pembersih muka bebas sabun, bebas paraben, SLS/SLES, dan pthalates. Mengandung Nimba (neem) dan kunyit untuk kulit bersih dan bebas minyak. Selain itu juga berfungsi untuk membantu mencegah jerawat.

Berbeda dengan Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash, kalau sabun yang ini teksturnya berupa cairan kental bening berwarna kehijauan. Saya biasanya pakai sabun ini di pagi hari karena terasa segar di wajah. Wajah pun jadi bebas minyak dan kotoran, rasanya bersih dan segar. Cocok untuk yang kulitnya berminyak atau kombinasi berminyak.

Overall sih saya suka kedua-duanya, tapi kalau disuruh memilih diantara dua sabun diatas saya akan memilih Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Daily Face Wash karena saya suka tesktur scrub nya yang lembut. Tapi untuk hasil akhirnya, kedua sabun diatas worth to buy kok, lumayan banget untuk pencuci wajah sehari-hari. Oya, ini bukan untuk membersihkan makeup lho ya, jadi kalau kamu pakai  makeup jangan lupa untuk membersihkan makeup mu dulu dengan makeup remover sebelum mencuci wajah dengan sabun pembersih wajah seperti duo Himalaya Herbals ini ;)

I found these photos on my computer folder today and realized that I haven't uploaded this yet. So this is from my last pamper day session which happened a while ago (now I realized that I haven't done a proper pamper day for a very long time! I think I needed one soon).

As usual, I tried to have a thorough pamper day once in a while to help my body unwind and my mind relax a bit. I didn't have a bath tub in my new place so I make do with what I had. 

If I have a bath tub I would do a more specific pamper day with aromatic bath bubbles and some candles lit around the tub while I soak and relaxing to the serene music playing in the background.

Anyway, here's what I did on my last Pamper Day:

I started with Hair. I washed it with my Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo which (hence the name) has anti-residue formula. I use this shampoo only a couple of times per several weeks because this shampoo is meant to wash down all the residue that's been left on your hair from styling products, other shampoos, conditioners, etc.. And it needs to be used once in a while so this is not an everyday shampoo. 

As soon as I came out of the bathroom I grabbed the Clear Anti Hair-Fall Daily Scalp Tonic (mentioned here) which I used on the roots of my hair before combing to prevent more hair fall. Followed with Ellips Smooth & Shiny Hair Vitamin capsules which I would break in two and put the formula all over the strands of my hair.

For Body pampering, I used a body scrub this time. I'm using my favorite scrub which is The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Body Scrub (mentioned here) which smells and feels awesome on the skin, feels just like you're scrubbing with real berries instead! 

For the foot I specifically used the Taman Sari Royal Heritage Foot Scrub Gel with Lemon oil and Lemongrass oil (mentioned here). The feet / foot area sometimes need a harder scrub to flake off that deadly skin and dirt that we got from walking everyday, so I like to use a scrub specifically meant for the foot.

Afterwards I slather on Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Body Lotion (mentioned here) which has a thick lotion formula and which I think smells a bit lovelier than it's body spray.

And now it's time for the Face. I started with using a deep exfoliating mask which is the Brittanie's Thyme French Green Clay with White Tea (read the review here). I mixed this up with water and spread it all over my face, and then wait for it to harden before washing it all off. This clay mask has an exfoliating effect and took away impurities as well as toxic residue.

I always follow through with a cooling or hydrating mask after I used a deep exfoliating mask so that my pores will close again, so after using the clay mask I continue with Vivelle Collagen Bengkuang Mask with virgin coconut oil and olive oil (read the review here) in the form of a sheet mask.

And then I continue with some toner. This time I used Garnier Pure Active Multi-Action Toner (mentioned here) which is good for blemished skin because it contains salicylic acid but it kinda sting a little bit because it contains alcohol. After toner I slathered on some moisturizer, starting from the V10 Plus Collagen Serum (which I swear by it! Read the review here), and Holika Holika Aqua Fantasy Cream (mentioned here) which is more like a cooling lotion because it is very cooling and hydrating it felt so good on my skin :)

Last but not least, I also put on C+M VOOM Green Tea Eye Gel (mentioned here) underneath my eyes for extra treatment, and also a lip balm. This time I chose Maybelline Baby Lips in Energizing Orange which almost taste like orange ;)

Okay, so this is (as usual) another super late post.
Several weeks ago I was invited to a Maybelline blogger event where they were introducing some of their new products from the Color Show range. It was a happy day for us bloggers because just by seeing the colorful products on display that we can try and test ourselves already made us feel happy ;)

As you can see, there are quite a lot of colorful products that were displayed that night. Me and the other bloggers also had fun trying them on before the event started. We started with dinner and then there was an introduction from the Maybelline team and their PR Rep about the new Color Show campaign.

The Maybelline Color Show range are the new range from Maybelline, introducing an array of colorful makeup, from lipsticks to nail colors, colorful eyeliners, etc.. All the colors in the range can be worn for many occasions and makeup style, but the best thing about the range is the affordable price!

Look at the complete makeup tools below. We were allowed to try them all out and we surely did!

We were each given a makeup box filled with some Maybelline Color Show products which include three lipsticks, two eyeliners, and four nail polishes. I picked out some of my favorite shades such as the gold eyeliner and the Pinkalicious lipstick because we were swapping what we got inside the box ;)

I always love coming to Maybelline events because they are always generous in giving products to try out, it makes us (bloggers) feels special and appreciated, so thank you Maybelline!

Those are the products that we are allowed to try at home. I am loving the box too!
Anyway, inside the box I got the Color Show lipstick in the shades of:
- Cherry On Top : Darker red color
- Orange Icon : Bright orange on the tube but quite subtle on the lips
- Pinkalicious : Darker pink color

I have tried them all and my favourite is the Pinkalicious one because it is the kind of shade that somehow would look good on anyone. At the event five bloggers tried it on including me, and surprisingly the shade looks different on each of us! We have different skin tones but the shade suits us all. So I really recommend this shade if you ever want to try out the Maybelline Color Show lipstick.

Another thing to take note, for me the Orange Icon is a bit drying than the rest, I'm not sure why, but nonetheless the color is super gorgeous.

All the lipsticks have soft buttery feels when applied on the lips, and they also have a subtle fruity scent which I just couldn't stop smelling because it's good! I can't figure out the scent but I'm sure it's a fruit scent ;p


The eyeliners are also my favorite. Inside the box I got two eyeliners in the shade of:

- Color Show Crayon Khol in Gold
- Color Show Crayon Khol in Light Peacock Green

There are 7 shades of eyeliners in the Color Show range, and the two shades I received here are both shimmery. The black and brown shades are matte though..

I especially love the gold one because I haven't own a gold eyeliner before because I found them either too glittery or too vibrant for the eyes. But I like this one from Maybelline Color Show range. The gold color is actually quite subtle once worn and it's a great match for my skin tone. I love using it to line my under eyes or just on the inner corner of my eyes to make the eyes seems bigger and brighter.

The green one is more into soft turquoise color. It's beautiful and it makes my eyes pop! It's perfect for a fun night out with friends or for a festive party / occasion. All the eyeliners in this range are waterproof and stays up pretty long. I touched my eyes a couple of times and the color is still there ;)

I'm wearing the Color Show eyeliner in Light Peacock Green and the Color Show Lipstick in Cherry On Top

Aside from the lipsticks and eyeshadows I also received four nail polishes in shades:

All the nail polishes look very vivid and pigmented too. I will do a separate review post on this nail polish because this post is already too long. Currently I'm trying to shorten my posts to make everything more convenient to read. So I'm trying to cut back on my blabber in every post ;)
