I've been asked to add more candle reviews here on this blog so I thought today I'm gonna do one ;)

If you're my Indonesian readers then you probably noticed that scented candles are not commonly available here in our country, right? I used to buy my scented candles at Ace Hardware that sells Yankee candles as well as a few other brands. And now we have the newly opened Ikea store which also sells a number of scented candles. 

Other places to look for candles are local online stores. I also found some cute cat candles in the Office 1 Store and I found these Twilight candles at Informa store. 

First of all, these Twilight candles are one of the cheapest candles I found locally. Compared to Yankee Candles which retails for IDR 29.900 for the smallest votive size, these twilight candles are much more cheaper than that, but I think these Twilight candles are smaller in size though. I actually forgot how much these candles cost me because I bought these since 3 years ago and I remember it was on discount so I bought three of them because they are so cheap.

Other than the affordable price, I also like the packaging of Twilight candles which already come with its little tin compartment. Yankee Candles doesn't come with compartment if you buy the smallest size (votive). I also think the design on the tin of these Twilight candles are pretty and looks elegant if you put it on display. It would accentuate the room nicely even if you don't light it.

There were a number of scents to choose from but I chose Cinnamon because I like the slightly sweet woodsy scent that I got from sniffing the candle. BUT although these Twilight cinnamon candles smells good on the tin, it doesn't really have a strong scent when lit. 

Although it says "high fragrance candle" on the packaging but I didn't find it strong-scented, actually I didn't smell anything at all even after I burned all three of them at the same time. It would took hours and hours of burning these three candles at the same time to finally get a hint of the cinnamon scent.

So these Twilight cinnamon candle is a bit of disappointment for me. Other than it's good looking outer packaging, I don't like anything else from this candle. I found these candles rather useless because it's very hard to notice the scent once it burned. It also doesn't burn evenly so it creates a hollow part in the middle which I hate.

However, I still might try other scents from Twilight candles though, because based from  my experience of burning a variety of candles, sometimes it doesn't mean that the quality would be the same for all the candles even though they came from the same manufacturer. Some candles have stronger scent-throw compared to other scents from the same candle company. So yeah, I might try other scents from Twilight Candles because they're quite cheap to buy anyway...
