Salah satu produk kecantikan Korea yang selalu masuk wish list saya adalah Secret Key Indonesia - Starting Treatment Essence. Produk ini sangat populer dan termasuk produk hype dari Korea. Bagi yang belum tahu tentang produk ini, Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence adalah produk perawatan kulit wajah yang fungsi utamanya adalah sebagai essence untuk membantu proses regenerasi kulit.

Selain itu produk ini juga mempunyai fungsi lain, diantaranya: hydrating, brightening, soothing, dan texturizing. Tidak hanya itu, Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence ini juga bersifat anti-oxidant serta membantu pencegahan keriput pada kulit. Lengkap sekali kegunaannya kan? Jadi tidak heran kalau produk ini laku keras di Korea dan juga di beberapa negara Asia lainnya.

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence ini dipakai setelah membersihkan wajah dan sebelum memulai perawatan kulit lainnya. Jadi intinya, produk ini dipakai sebagai starting point dalam rangkaian perawatan kulit wajah. Kalau saya sendiri memakai produk ini tepat setelah membersihkan wajah dan sebelum memakai serum dan moisturizer, jadi urutannya: Cleansing - Secret Key STE - Serum/Moisturizer.

Berdasarkan hasil riset saya, produk ini bisa dipakai sebagai pre-serum atau sebagai toner. Saya sendiri lebih prefer memakainya sebagai pre-serum / essence, caranya dengan menuangkan 1-3 tetes ke telapak tangan lalu ditepuk-tepuk ke kulit wajah. Tapi kadang saya juga memakainya sebagai toner dengan cara menuangkan ke kapas lalu diusapkan sambil ditepuk-tepuk ringan ke kulit wajah.

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence ini formulanya cair, jadi mudah sekali diserap oleh kulit kita. Rasanya sejuk dan nyaman di kulit. Formulanya juga nggak lengket dan tidak berbau menyengat.

Saya pakai Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence ini dua kali sehari, yaitu pada pagi dan malam hari sebelum tidur. Saya pakai sebagai essence / pre-serum pada pemakaian pagi hari, dan sebagai toner pada perawatan wajah malam hari. Tapi ini nggak mutlak kok, kamu bisa pakai produk ini sesuai preference dan kebutuhan kulit masing-masing ^o^

Kalau dipakai pagi hari rasanya kulit saya jadi lembab seharian dan nggak terasa oily. Makeup juga tetap menempel sempurna di wajah. Untuk pemakaian malam hari sebagai toner, kulit terasa tetap moist dan nggak kering walaupun semalaman kena AC.

Bagaimanapun cara kamu memakainya (pakai kapas atau dituang ke telapak tangan), pastikan untuk memakai produk-nya secara rutin. Dari pengalaman saya pribadi, setelah pemakaian rutin selama kurang lebih 2 minggu, saya merasakan kulit saya menjadi lebih halus dan lebih lembab. Kulit saya yang kombinasi jadi terasa lebih balanced.

No more oily skin yang mengkilap dan juga no more dry patches. I think my skin is happy now :)

[SKINCARE] : SKIN&LAB Gently Vita Exfoliator

I love using face scrub as part of my skincare routine.
I find it really helpful in exfoliating dead skin cells and to refresh the look of a dull tired skin. A new type of exfoliators that I currently love is the "dry scrub" type. ----- I called it a "dry scrub" because you use it while your skin is dry. Then within seconds, your skin will exfoliate and all the dirt and dead skin layers will come off with just the help of your fingers ;)

I fell in love with this product as soon as I tried it for the first time. This is really an amazing face scrub. It's hard not to fell in love with this product because it gives you instant satisfaction right away!

Okay, first of all... SKIN&LAB is a very well-known Korean brand that focuses on beauty products with the principle of alcohol-free, no synthetic dye, no-fragrance, and no-animal ingredients. Skin&Lab also tries to pursue a hypoallergenic formula in all their products, which also minimizes harmful elements through the use of patented natural extracts.

One of their best-seller product that's already popular internationally is this Dr.Vita Clinic Gently Vita Exfoliator. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal a brighter and fresh looking skin. It is packed full of all the good ingredients to give you a clear looking skin that glows from within.

The exfoliator comes in a clear tube and the formula itself is like a milky thick fluid with tiny orange granules which I believe is the vitamin capsules mentioned in the package which helps soften and brighten the skin. The product has a peachy color and it smells so gooodd :)

How-To-Use :

- Clean your face & towel dry

So make sure you wash your face first and towel dry! As I mentioned before, this is a dry-scrub type so you use it on your clean dry skin.

What I do is I wash my face first with a face wash, and then I towel dry my face, and then I apply this face scrub / exfoliator on my face and massage it right away in circular motion. Within seconds I would see that it exfoliates my skin and all the dirt and dead skin cells come right off, along with the scrub. You will love how fast it works! Just remember, your fingers should be dry too, it can't work properly with wet fingers.

Then what I usually do is wash my face with water again and then continue with my toner to get rid of the traces, and then followed with a moisturizer. I use this exfoliator 2-3 times a week, but if you have lots of acne or if you have dry skin I recommend using this only once or twice a week.

My skin is brighter and smoother after every usage, and I also feel that my skin is clearer now because this product also has pore-cleansing benefit. I love using this exfoliator if I have somewhere special to go to, just to make sure that I have a clear flawless base to begin my makeup with ;)

[EVENT] : BENEFIT Roller Lash Mascara Launching

Hi there,

If you haven't read my previous post, I was reviewing the new Roller Lash Mascara from Benefit Cosmetics. As you might read in that previous post, I was invited to Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara launching event a while ago. So here are my reports from the event..

I know it's late but I fell ill not long after the Benefit event so I haven't had the time to post the event report yet, but here I am today, writing it all the way ;p

The event was held at Artotel Jakarta. The decoration was super cute and adorable, with mostly pink and black (just like the new mascara packaging).

As you can see in the photos below, there were a lot of things going on at the venue. Aside from the main stage where they do the official launching, there were also a super cute photo booth, games booth (where we can win Benefit samples), cotton candy booth, free foods and drinks, and also a makeup booth where you can try some of the Benefit products on hand.

It was a fun event filled with a touch of 60's theme. It was a full house too!
We were presented with the product on stage by the Brand General Manager herself. We we also shown the correct way to use the mascara to achieve the best result of it.

One of the thing that makes this mascara different is the patent-pending Hook 'N' Roll Brush with custom-designed "hooks" that can grab, lift, and curl your lashes instantly.

The wand is a combination of two different kind of brushes: one is the Hook 'N' Roll brush, and the other side is the Wiper brush which would help delivers precise amount of product for ideal payoff. Oh, and the result can lasts up to 12 hours (or so the press release says ;p).

The Hook 'N' Roll Brush is very unique. It can grab and separate your lashes, even the shortest and thinnest eyelashes, making it a mascara that can be used with different types of eyelashes.

The Roller Lash name was inspired from the hair rollers that women used to curl and volumized their hair. Benefit thinks the mascara has the same function as a hair roller. It will "curl" and "lifts" your lashes up to the point where you won't need an eyelash curler anymore. So you can say that it's a mascara + eyelash curler in one package ;)

According to the survey:

97% women said it visibly lift lashes
87% women said it gives longlasting curls
94% women said eyes look more open

Based on that survey alone I would definitely give it a try. And I did tried the mascara myself and really loving the result. As I told you before, this is one of the best mascara that I've ever tried, and I have tried lots of mascara, believe me (;p)

Overall, it was a very nice and fun event, and I got to learn a lot about the Roller Lash Mascara. If you're looking for a mascara that will give you excellent lift, curls, and makes your eyes more awake, then I suggest you try this Benefit Roller Lash Mascara.
