One fine day I finally took the urge to bring out all of my bags in my storage and laid them out on my bed like so :
Gosh, I never knew I had THAT many bags in my wardrobe. I don't even wear some of them anymore. So I decided to sort them out and reduce my collection to make some space in my wardrobe / storage. After counting them all it turns out that I actually have 25 bags and purses. Wow ! Didn't realize that before, but it's a fact laid out before me !
So I checked them all one by one to sort them out, looking for bags that already shows wear and tear, and set aside those that I just never use anymore (and probably won't be using again too). Apparently there are a few of my bags that already starting to show it's age so I decided to throw them away and/or give them to charity. I also put aside 1-2 bags that I rarely used and I plan to give them to my mom instead if she wants them.
After sorting out and contemplating which ones to keep I finally deduced my bag collection to just 16 (*_^).
I know it's not a significant amount but I do still wear those 16 bags in rotation and I'm the kind of girl that needed different bags for different occasions (don't we all?).
So I decided to let go nine of my bags including these four that already shows wear and tear:
From left to right, in clockwise :
Elle Handbag
Burberry-ish Vintage Crossbody Bag
Yongki Komaladi Purse/Clutch
Roxy Crossbody Bag
And I plan to give these ones to my mom if she wants them:
From top to bottom, in clockwise :
Guess Monogram Handbag
I rarely wear this bag and I have only worn it 5-6 times since I bought it :(
Batik Handbag
I think I only worn this 1-2 times and haven't worn it again since then. Might sell this instead.
Ciciero Shoulder Bag
This used to be my HG bag but after I got my Nine West black bag I hardly wear this one anymore. I might sell it though, because it's still in good condition.
And I'm still unsure about these ones below:
From left to right, in clockwise :
Carousel turquoise Clutch
I think I'll keep it for now until I found something new in similar shade.
Noche twin Bags
It just needs laundry but I'm getting bored with it. I might give this to charity or to my mom.
Metro red Shoulder Bag
I'll keep this one until I found a new red bag.
Dorothy Perkins tassel Shoulder Bag
I rarely wear this bag because the length is a little bit off on me, so I might sell it or give it to charity.
Some of the bags that I decided to keep at the last minutes:
Classic Vintage Bag
This bag is hand-me-down from Mom. It's very classic and I think I'll keep this one just for a collective vintage items.
Fabric bag bought in Malaysia
I also decided to keep this one because of the memory behind it.
Payless Woven Bag
I rarely wear this bag but I decided to keep it for my beach bag instead.
Actually I just added a new bag to the collection which is a vintage Fendi bag that I found from a private seller a little while back. I always love Fendi monogram so I'm glad I found this Zucca print Fendi purse. Zucca is the name for this type of Fendi monogram style :
This Fendi Purse makes the 25th bag in my collection.
UPDATE!
Ooppss, actually I just remember that I still have a couple of bags inside one box up on my clothing rack, yikes! That makes the total of my collection = 29 bags !
But from those additional 4 bags, I will keep 2 of them and get rid of the other 2.
So in total, I am getting rid of 11 bags out of 29 bags.
My bags collection is now reduced to 18 bags.
Phew, I guess I may have to get rid more of them in the the near future, but for now I will keep those 18 bags.
PS: I put up this post solely for my own personal note and reference. I will also update this collection in the future for my own personal use. I keep track of my things by putting them up on my two blogs so that I have a data of them for my future reference. I would also like to have some kind of data history for my own personal use and I found that putting them up on my blogs makes it easier for me to look back and see the developments.
So, are you a Shoe Gal or a Bag Lady ?
XoXo from this Baglady!
