Did you remember my Bag Edit post where I listed all my bags in my wardrobe and sort them out one by one so I can have a clear view of them all ? On that post I have decided on which bags to keep and which bags are for sale or to be given to someone else / charity. One of the bags that I decided to let go is my old fuchsia pink crossbody bag from Roxy that I got a while ago when I had a project with Roxy Indonesia. I have worn that sling bag numerous times and it was my go-to bag for those casual days when I don't want to be bothered holding a bag in my hand. Crossbody bags are the easiest to wear. It hangs on your body so both of your hands would be free to do anything else.

After many years of wear and tear the overall look of that Roxy bag is still very nice and the color is still very vibrant, but I found out that one of the corner has been chipped, and a small part of the leather at the front is peeled a little bit too. So I think the bag needs to be retired. And that means I need a new bag to replace that one ;)

Luckily I found a similar bag not long after I decided to put away the Roxy bag. After using the Roxy bag for many years I found out that I need at least one bag like that in my life. Small crossbody is always a good idea for days when I want to go carefree such as when I go to amusement parks, concerts, or any active / outdoor activities where you don't want to hold your bag all the time in your hands. So for me a small crossbody bag is a must-have in any girl's closet.

One of the small crossbody bags that has always been on my wish list is the Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.C. This bag was a big hype in youtube and I think any western bloggers has at least one of these mini macs in their closet. These little babies come in many colors, from pastels to neutrals and electric. They also come in different hardware, from silver to gold to black, etc.

Mine is in Purple with Gold Hardware. The M.A.C stands for Morning After Clutch. Rebecca Minkoff has 3 different sizes of the M.A.C bags which are: the mini mac, the regular mac, and the mac daddy (the biggest of all three). They are all crossbody type and they are very very popular amongst the fashionista.

Here in Indonesia we don't have Rebecca Minkoff store yet but you can find them on Reebonz just like I did. Like I mentioned before in this blog, Reebonz is my go-to place for designer labels, especially for designer brands that are not widely available here in Indonesia yet. Rebecca Minkoff is one of the brand that you can find often in Reebonz. And the mini mac is one of the most sought-after bag from Rebecca Minkoff so it's no wonder that these babies sold out quickly at Reebonz.

Anyway, I was lucky to have found this fuchsia purple mini mac which I think is perfect to replace my Roxy bag. The color is similar, although the Roxy one is more towards fuchsia pink while the RM mini mac is more towards purple. But nonetheless, both are beautiful vibrant colors. I love to wear bright fun colors on smaller items like this bag. It adds a little bit of fun without screaming much attention to your outfit.

It was on sale and I couldn't passed up this opportunity. Luckily our wedding anniversary was coming and I sneakily passed this up as an anniversary gift from le hubby (;p). I'm glad I can finally ticked off one of my dream bag from the Bags-I-Want-To-Buy list. And I'm quite lucky to be able to get it with discount price. 

At first I was confused to choose between this purple one and a blue one with silver hardware. I haven't owned a silver hardware bag so I was hesitating a bit to buy the blue one instead. But I wanted a bright fun color to replace my Roxy bag. In the end I chose the purple one with gold hardware because it's more vibrant.

The RM Mini Mac is made of a very good leather material. The leather is buttery soft and it makes the bag very lithe and not stiff at all. It has long tassels also made from leather that hangs around for decoration (which is like the signature look of this bag).

It also has a top zipper and a front flap with a hidden zippered pocket beneath the flap. But I rarely use the hidden front pocket because you have to lock/unlock the hook at the front before you can reach the hidden pocket. But if you're traveling, the hidden pocket would be perfect to store your extra money. 

The size of the mini mac is small yet it can fit all the necessities, such as wallet, phone, lipstick, mints, tissue, and keys. It cannot fit a long wallet unless it's a thin long wallet, but it would fit a small wallet nicely.

The interior inside is very simple with two small pockets on one side to put your small items. Another thing that I love about this bag is it's interior pattern. I believe there are a few different interior patterns on the RM mini mac. Mine has a black & white graphic pattern. Other Mini Macs might have a totally different interior pattern, but one thing for sure, the interior pattern would always match the dust bag. How cute is that?! 

REVIEW for PETITES :
The chain strap of the bag is very long but it would fit a tall girl nicely. For petites like me who is just around 155 cm - the chain strap would be a bit too long. But I found a way of wearing it without looking like it's too long for  my petite frame.

What I do is I shorten up the strap a little bit. The original chain strap is not adjustable but you can still shorten it by looping the chain into the D-ring and attach it to the top D-ring. Here I'll show you how to do that :

Here's a numbered step-by-step

on how to do that :

1.  Loop the chain through the D-ring

2. And then attach it to the other D-ring at the top (see arrows on above pic)

If you do the steps above you will have a shorter chain strap. What I usually do is to shorten only one side of the chain, because that's my favorite length for a crossbody. You can of course shorten both of the chains to make it even shorter and turned it into a shoulder bag.

So this bag can be worn in several ways:
- the crossbody style,
- over the shoulder style,
- as a shoulder bag,
- and if you take off the chain it becomes a clutch! 

Below is how the bag would look like on a petite/short body frame ... I worn it in two different styles (crossbody and over the shoulder). I also worn it in two different lengths : the original chain length, and with only one strap shorten.

Although the bag is small but I can fit all my necessities in there. At first it took me a while to adjust to the small bag because I have been carrying big bags for so many years. But now that I'm using this bag for a couple months I realized that I actually didn't really need all that crap that I put in my big bags. I can survive a day with a small bag and everything in it. So here is an example of what I can bring with me inside the bag :

 

As you can see, I can put my phone, my key pouch, my Starbucks card, a tissue, a BBW handbac gel, a fisherman's friends mints, and a little pouch that I use to store my money, credit cards, and ID card. I don't have a small wallet yet so I'm using this LV mini pochette to bring my money and important cards instead.

Right now I am looking for a small wallet so I can put it inside my mini mac. All I have now is long big wallet which wouldn't fit inside this bag.

Overall, this bag has quickly become my favorite. I wore this bag for 2 weeks in a row when I first got it, lol. I have so many people compliment my mini mac especially because of the fun color. And it makes me want to buy another one in different color (maybe the blue one with silver hardware?). But those are just wish list. I'll just keep it on my wish list for next time ;)

Reebonz Indonesia

Recently I've been trying this Shampoo & Conditioner set from La Rose Rouge. This brand has just recently entered the haircare market not so long ago, and judging from the packaging alone it makes me want to buy it and put those lovely looking bottles on my bathroom, lol.

Anyway, it is the La Rose Rouge Passion Series shampoo and conditioner, and on the bottle it is said that these shampoo & conditioner will help repair damaged hair.

I'm not sure what exactly "damaged hair" means. Does it mean coarse dry hair? Does it mean hair loss? Or hair with split-ends? Or does it mean something else? I'm not really sure what they mean with this "damaged hair" terms, but I'm trying it out anyway.

First of all, I like the packaging. The fuchsia pink bottle makes it eye-catching and the pump dispenser style makes it easier to use. The bright color would also add some cheerfulness on your bathroom :)

Second of all, I really like the scent. It has a subtle sweet scent almost like a powdery-floral scent which I like very much. Washing my hair with these shampoo + conditioner set is such a relaxing moment because of the scent. 

The truth is, I have high hopes for this shampoo but unfortunately this is not for my hair type. Maybe I got the wrong series, but I have oily scalp with thin hair and after trying this shampoo & conditioner for a while I have come to the conclusion that this series does not work on my hair. BUT I gave this to my husband who has dry hair with lots of fall-downs (hair loss / breaks easily). After using the combo for a week I noticed that his hair seems to get better and better. Then after using it for a couple of weeks, my husband's hair is now softer and the fall-outs were drastically reduced! So I think this Passion series is more suitable for those with problematic hair and will work even better for those with dry hair or for those of you who has fragile hair that breaks easily.

Nonetheless, this shampoo would work magic on some people. But unfortunately it doesn't work with my hair type. I will look for other shampoo & conditioner series from La Rose Rouge because I really love the scents of their shampoos and also their lovely packaging :)

Saya baru pertama kali ini mencoba The Porefessional, dan memang seperti hasil review yang saya baca dimana-mana -> primer ini memang oke banget. Sekilas ada wangi lembutnya, hasilnya smooth banget, dan foundation / bb cream juga jadi gampang menempel. Untuk Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow yang saya dapat di Medium kit ini shade nya: "I'm so money" honey. Mengandung SPF25 dan sangat mudah di-blend. Hasilnya merata di kulit wajah, dan coverage-nya light to medium.

Boi-Ing Concealer yang terdapat di Medium kit ini terdiri dari 2 shade yaitu : shade no.02 dan 03. Sesuai iklannya, "industrial-strength concealer", di wajah saya concealer ini tetap menempel sempurna sampai berjam-jam. Biasanya saya pakai yang no.02 untuk under-eye dan yang no.03 untuk menutupi jerawat dan dark spots.

Yang paling menjadi favorit saya dari box set ini adalah Hello Flawless Powder - dengan shade "I'm cute as a bunny" honey. Bedaknya ringan tapi mampu menutup wajah dan setting concealer dengan sempurna. Tidak terasa berat atau cakey. Cocok banget untuk sehari-hari. Kuasnya pun cukup oke lah dan mampu mengangkat powder-nya dengan baik.

Last week my current fashion wish list were : Rompers (check that post here), and this week I'm already coveting another fashion item which is : Casual Blazers.

I always thought that I'm more into a "Cardigan girl" than a "Blazer girl", but lately I'm letting myself venture into the casual-blazers world. Yes I'm probably late into jumping on the trend but hey, it's better late than never, right?

So I've been browsing here and there, online and offline, trying to look for blazers that I thought would look nice on me. Some of them I found at zaful website, which is an online store selling a variety of clothing items and accessories. There are several blazers that I'm coveting from that store. From bright colored blazer to spruce up a monochromatic outfit, to patterned blazers for a fun look with denim jeans, and also a longer blazer which looks very modern and very "on trend" right now. Who needs jacket when you can have cute blazers like these :

 I especially love the collar on this blazer, so unique !

I would suggest to look for a blazer with good cut and rather structured material compared to flimsy ones, because a structured blazer would hug your curves nicely and it would also accentuate your look even more. But avoid the hard structured ones because they look too formal except if that's the look you're looking for. Just try to look for materials that are not flimsy yet slightly structured and well-cut.

The right blazer can be very versatile. You can wear it for formal look, but you can also wear it on a casual day :)

Hari Sabtu lalu saya berkesempatan menghadiri event Bioderma untuk peluncuran rangkaian produk terbarunya yaitu Hydrabio, yang dilaksanakan di Hotel Pullman, Jakarta.

Saya berkesempatan untuk mencoba Bioderma Hydrabio Brume tersebut. Menurut website Bioderma, Hydrabio Brume ini adalah: "Precisely dosed refreshing cleansing water which soothes and enhances the comfort of the most sensitive skin types".

Jadi semacam face mist yang berisi cleansing water yang dapat memanjakan kulit kita bahkan untuk tipe kulit sensitif sekalipun. Face Mist ini tidak ada wanginya, dan yang pasti jangan takut baju kita basah atau muka kita seperti habis disemprot air hehe Karena Hydrabio Brume ini berbentuk fine-mist, jadi semprotan airnya sangat halus sekali bahkan nyaris seperti kabut tipis. Jadi butiran airnya amat sangat kecil sekali dan tidak akan membuat wajah kita basah. Efeknya menyegarkan dan sekaligus membuat kulit wajah kita menjadi lebih kenyal. 

Face Mist ini dapat dipakai sebelum makeup, saat ber-makeup, maupun setelah makeup. Untuk menyegarkan wajah di siang hari juga oke. Jadi face mist ini berguna sekali terutama untuk yang doyan makeup atau untuk menyegarkan wajah kita setelah berpanas-panasan di bawah terik matahari. Makeup juga nggak akan luntur kalau disemprot face mist ini, bahkan malah bisa membuat makeup menjadi lebih tahan lama.

Selain fungsi-fungsi diatas, saya sendiri juga sering meng-aplikasikan face mist ini sebagai pengganti toner setelah membersihkan muka. Karena biasanya kulit wajah saya suka kering setelah dibersihkan, jadi Hydrabio Brume ini oke banget sebagai pengganti toner yang praktis tinggal semprot :)

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence

Everyone said that this is the dupe for SK II Facial Treatment Essence (FTE) because it contains the same ingredient, and I think it does resemble the SK II FTE because I've tried that one before and I can say that my skin does feel the same just like when I'm using the SK II. Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream

This is one of Soap & Glory best seller product and honestly although I do like the scent and the buttery formula but I don't think that this is the best hand soap out there. But it does moisturize my hands a little bit longer than other hand lotions that I've tried before, and I also love the packaging, so yeah.. MAC Powder Blush in Melba

What I love about this blush is the subtle color it gives to my complexion. This might not be your most pigmented blush but that's why I like it. Sometimes I need a more subtle blush for daily makeup especially if I don't go anywhere fancy. The shade turns out to be a peachy pink on my complexion, perfect for light everyday makeup look. Oh and it's matte too!

Freeman Bare Foot Peppermint Plum Foot Scrub

This is what I have been using to scrub my feet. It has a really nice fruity scent which makes my bathroom and my feet smells awesome every time I'm using this product. This foot scrub contains all the goodness of a mild scrub, and also contains tea tree oil to help soothe tired feet. My feet would immediately feels invigorated after every scrub. [Reviewed Here]

Lancome La Vie Est Belle

From the scented products section my current favorites are this set of Lancome La Vie est Belle shower gel and body lotion. The perfumed body lotion is my most favorite among these two, because I prefer perfumed body lotion than the perfume itself. And the reason is because perfumed body lotion usually would last longer on my body compared to perfume, and the scent would also lingers longer on me than the perfume itself. When used with the shower gel the scent would lasts even much longer ! La Vie est Belle is a powdery sweet scent that falls into the elegant / luxurious category according to my nose :)

Mango Tea

I am currently drinking this tea almost every night before I go to sleep. It is a black tea enriched with mango flavour. The package has no brand name so I don't know what to call this tea. It only has the name CV. Anugrah Alam on the back of the packaging and the word "Indonesia" at the front. The fruity mango taste in this tea is oh-so-good, the aroma is also very nice and makes me relax a bit. I think it can be served hot or cold (although I haven't tried it cold yet). Sometimes I don't even have to add sugar in it because for me it already has a tinge of sweetness to it from the mango infusion. I got this from Foodmart at Citos a while ago and I think it was geared towards the expatriate market, but nonetheless I like it so much and would definitely buy it again and try other variants from the same brand.

Joe Fresh Lazy Pants

I've been into lazy pants lately and the more I aged the more I hated wearing skinny jeans, lol. Now I much prefer loose clothing and unrestricted pants and tops because I find that those are very convenient to wear (and very forgiving too when it comes to covering imperfect body parts, lol). This was actually my first lazy pants. For all this time I thought lose pants would look bad on my petite frame and would make me look shorter, but when I tried this Joe Fresh pants it actually looks quite nice on my short legs (;p), and that's how I fell in love with lazy pants. Particularly this Joe Fresh "black and white" slightly tapered one.

I can see why this is the most hyped bags among the youtube fashion gurus and fashion bloggers; it has fun vibrant colors, gorgeous leather material, lavish hardware, and it's small yet can fit all of our daily essentials. This bag comes in many different shades and hardwares, mine is in purple shade with gold hardware. I am totally in love with this bag right now and at one time I even worn this bag 2 weeks in a row :) - I also have plan to get another one in blue with silver hardware (*nabung dulu tapinya ;p).

I have been shy to try out rompers and jumpers before, so that's why I'm so late in jumping to the bandwagon. Not until I finally encourage myself to try out one romper at a factory outlet a while ago, and finally realized that I CAN actually wear jumpsuits and rompers!

Ever since that success story I have been in the hunt for rompers or jumpers that can work with my petite body frame. It wasn't easy though but I do find some of them that I love. What I look for in rompers are fun prints, simple silhouette, and the length of the shorts. I don't like wearing teeny weeny rompers with lots of cuts and opening here and there that shows so many of your skin, so I prefer a simple cut romper that looks playful and fun. All of those fun rompers are from Dress-In, one of online store that I recently found out about. I will tell you more about their clothes when I try some of them in the next several weeks, but while I'm waiting for my package to arrive I thought I show you some of my wish list from Dress-In :)

They have lots of options on clothing and accessories. I also love their dresses section and their sweaters section. It's already fall season for those of you who lives in the western hemisphere so this might be a good time to look for new sweaters and hoodies :)
