This is my second face oil after trying the Juara Radiance Vitality Oil which I've tried earlier and fell in love with. After my successful first attempt with the Juara oil I wanted to try more face oils, so I bought this Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil by The Body Shop.

The unique formula called "Serum-In-Oil" is what triggered me into buying this face oil. Is it a serum or an oil ? Actually the formula is a serum but it is in oil texture. Usually serums comes in thin/thick liquid formula but this one from The Body Shop comes in oil formula.

I've tried The Body Shop Vitamin E range before and I liked the moisturizer for my night cream so I thought I would try the face oil from that range too. The Body Shop Overnight Vitamin E Serum-In-Oil is actually an innovation from The Body Shop combining the power of a serum and oil as part of a skincare range that's meant to replenish and recharge skin with moisture. This oil-in-serum would recharge our skin overnight into a refreshed softer skin in the morning.

The bottle came in pipette topper so it's easier to take out the oil inside. I was lucky to get this from MatahariMall with a discount. It is retailed for IDR 309,000 at the TBS counter but I got it for only IDR 240,000 from MatahariMall because they were having a discount a while ago (you can check if the discount is still there by checking the website here).

The main ingredients in this oil-in-serum include Soya bean oil from Gebana Brazil, wheatgerm oil, and sweet almond oil as well as sunflower seed, sesame seed, and jojoba seed oil for hydration and moisture. 

Review:

The texture is a little bit too thick for my normal combination skin. I know it's supposed to be oily because it is an oil after all, but my Juara Radiance Vitality Oil is much less oily compared to this Vitamin E Oil. But since this is an overnight product so I think it's still okay because you wore it to sleep, so you don't have to worry anyone would see you with an oily face ;)

What I like to do is apply a light watery lotion after using this oil so my face would not feel so oily. So I always apply my DoctorCos Amino Acid Hybrid Mask Advanced (which I use as night moisturizer) which has a very light watery formula over this TBS Vitamin E Overnight Oil-In-Serum. The combo makes my skin feels nice when I sleep and then in the morning after I wash my face I would definitely see my skin feels refreshed and balanced (not oily, not dry, just well-balanced).

Overall, this oil-in-serum does make my skin looks refreshed and well-rested in the morning (like I have an 8 hour of sleep which in reality I only slept 5 hours). It also helps my combination skin to be well-balanced, and makes my skin texture smoother and plumper. The only minus thing for my combination skin is the thicker oily formula, but as I said I can always apply another watery lotion afterwards and everything would be okay :)
