Just when I needed a new sunscreen to take on my last trip I got lucky and received my sociolla freebies just in time and it surprisingly contains : a sunscreen ! (*insert happy face*). It couldn't have come at a better time !

I received the Vitacreme B12 Day Cream Sun Protection and the Vita Blanc Lightening Beauty Cream inside the pink Sociolla box just before I left for my short holiday last month. I immediately packed them into my travel bag and I ditched out my other moisturizers because the VitaBlanc itself is a cream that can be used both day and night, so I don't need a separate moisturizer for mornings and evenings like I used to. Also, both of these products are in cream / lotion texture so I don't have to worry about liquids during flights.

This is my first time trying Vitacreme B12 products, so this is my experience after using them for a few weeks now :

Vitacreme B12 Day Cream Sun Protection

This is actually a day cream loaded with sun protection (UVA + UVB) plus the addition of SPF 30+++. But I like to use it as a sunscreen instead because it has enough SPF for me who doesn't really spend much time outside under the sun. It has vitamin B12 as the name suggests, which has skin reconditioning properties, skin smoothing and softening actions, helps with wrinkles, skin elasticity, and also dryness.

Aside of Vitamin B12 this day cream also infused with vitamins B5, C, and E to help prevents premature ageing and wrinkles caused by sun exposures. This combination of active ingredients also helps to keep the skin stay hydrated and protects it against harmful effects of the sun.

The texture of this cream is more like a thicker lotion. It absorbs very fine onto the skin without leaving any wet or sticky feeling like other regular products with sunscreen usually does. I think this is my favorite sunscreen product so far because it absorbs really well, making it easy to apply makeup afterwards. Once the makeup set it would stay put for hours without melting.

I did get a few little bumps on my face when I use this for the first time but I blame that on my cleansing routine. I was on a trip and I didn't bring my heavy duty cleanser so maybe I didn't do a proper cleansing at that time, resulting the little bumps on my skin. I usually get those bumps whenever I wore sunscreen (or products with sunscreen) and not having proper cleansing afterwards.  

So just remember to always do a proper double (or even triple) cleansing whenever you use sunscreen (or products with sunscreen on it).

Vitacreme B12 VitaBlanc Lightening Beauty Cream

According to the box it is a highly reconstructive and nutritive cream to structure the skin. Formulated with precious substances for their lightening and clarifying virtues, it helps with the progressive process of lightening the skin and also help tones down pigmentation marks. It can be applied day or night for a more radiant and clear complexion.

Aside of the vitamin B12 it also has licorice extract, salicylic acid, niacinamide / vitamin B3 (my favorite ingredient!), and vitamin C. The combination would help to even out skin discoloration as well as giving radiance to the skin.

This beauty cream has a pinkish color and a lotion-y texture. It also has a subtle peculiar scent but I can't almost smell it unless I deliberately sniff it close to my nose, so it's not a problem at all. Same with the sunscreen, the formula of this lightening cream is light and easily absorbed by the skin without any residue left on skin's surface. My makeup goes smoothly on top of it and it also hydrates my skin thoroughly without giving any oiliness on my combination skin.

Overall, I think these two products from Vitamin B12 are great. The formula of both products feels light on the skin so it didn't felt greasy at all, even after putting it on for hours. I love the combination of these duo and I feel that it really gives a difference on my skin. My face would look brighter and lighter whenever I put these duo on, and the most important thing is they don't interfere with my makeup.

I do notice that a couple of my friends experienced the same little bumps coming out on their skin after their first use, but my bumps were cleared as soon as I took care of them by doing a proper double/triple cleansing every time I use the sunscreen. So if you also experience that, you might also want to try to amped up your cleansing method.

I always love being inside a Lush store because it smells Ah.Maaaziing !! But I have to accept the fact that Lush is not available here in Indonesia anymore. I used to love buying their soaps (my favorite is Sultana!) but I haven't tried any of their skincare range before. 

So when I started to delve into the world of skincare I started to see Lush products being featured by fellow skincare enthusiasts. It made me crave for Lush products so much I finally put an Australian order via a local online store. The closest country to get Lush is from Singapore & Australia (I'm not sure whether Malaysia have it or not).

I originally wanted to try one of their fresh masks but after reading some info I realized that the fresh masks were made very fresh that it only has about 3 weeks lifespan. I then figured it would take about a week to get my order from Australia, so by the time my order came it would already cut 1 week out of it's 3 weeks lifespan. So I canceled the fresh masks and only ordered the products that have longer lifespan such as these two below :

1. Angels on Bare Skin Facial Cleanser (has 3 - 4 months lifespan).

2. Eau Roma Water (Toner - long lifespan)

I've been researching a bit before buying my first Lush skincare products and these two products were among the ones that were recommended by a lot of women with similar skin condition. 

Lush Eau Roma Water is one of the toners that are available from Lush. Many people recommended this toner so I chose this one. I know some of you might wonder what's so special about a toner? It's just a spray of water after all. I used to think the same too, but now I'm beginning to realize the importance of toner in a skincare routine. It helps calm your skin down after a rigorous cleansing, and it helps tone and refresh your skin, and in some cases it also helps get rid of dirt and makeup residue that wasn't picked up by your cleanser. 

This toner has a formula of rose water which will help to calm and reduce redness, whilst lavender water will balance and soften the skin. It is meant to hydrate and soothe the skin both gently and effectively. At least that's what they claimed it to be. In real life, I felt that it is indeed a soothing and calming toner, with a lovely aroma to freshen up your skin and uplift your mood. The formula also helps with my combination skin and it is a great combo if paired with Angels on Bare Skin.

Lush Angels on Bare Skin is one of Lush's best seller product. It is a facial cleanser made from 100% natural ingredients. Inspired by a medieval recipe, this cleanser contains kaolin to absorb grease and dirt, mixed with ground almond to tone and brightens the skin, and topped off with lavender flowers. It also contain lavender oil and rose absolute to help calm the skin.

The texture is very unique. It's not like your usual facial cleanser, this one has a rather solid form but you can easily peel it bits by bits as you use it along the way. You can see the lavender flowers on top and don't be afraid to use it on your skin. As you buff it away it would help soothe and calm your skin while the mixture of ground almonds and kaolin would clean your skin, leaving it fresh and nourished. 

Before I tried this cleanser I always wonder why so many people raved about it, so I was intrigued and wanted to try it for myself. Now I know why so many people love this cleanser because I love it too!! This is probably my most favorite cleanser everrrr. It made my skin feels clean without stripping the oils, and it also makes my skin looks brighter and more refreshed. The scrubby smooth texture makes the exfoliation process such an enjoyable moment. I love scrubbing my face with this cleanser. It feels soft and smooth on my skin and it really helps with my combination skin too. I simply love love love this cleanser and would recommend it to all of you (^_^).

Overall, I really really love my first experience with Lush skincare, and I am eager to try another skincare product from Lush. I'm eyeing their Mask of Magnaminty and one of their fresh masks (I'm still curious with them!). If you have similar skin condition like mine I recommend you tried these duo and lemme know how they works on you !

Akhir-akhir ini saya lagi seneng banget eksplorasi skincare. Di akun Instagram saya sering ada postingan tentang rangkaian skincare maupun review singkat tentang skincare yang lagi saya pakai. Berhubung lagi senang skincare jadi saya cukup sering mencoba berbagai macam produk perawatan kulit. Diantaranya ada beberapa produk skincare baru yang saya coba, contohnya rangkaian produk kecantikan dari Lavine Cosmetics ini.

Kebetulan saya memang dari dulu senang mencoba produk-produk baru termasuk produk kecantikan. Lavine Cosmetics ini adalah brand yang baru muncul di Indonesia. Produk-nya sendiri di formulasikan di Inggris dan diproduksi di Indonesia. Selain menyediakan rangkaian skincare untuk kulit, Lavine juga menyediakan rangkaian makeup di website-nya. Namun kali ini saya hanya akan membahas tentang skincare nya saja.

Seperti dilihat di foto diatas saya menerima empat buah produk Lavine dari satu rangkaian perawatan yaitu "Clarity Series". Kalau dilihat dari namanya sepertinya rangkaian Clarity series ini fungsinya adalah untuk membantu kulit menjadi terlihat lebih jernih, mulus, dan bersih bersinar.

Desain packaging-nya sih oke, saya sendiri suka lihatnya. Dan waktu saya lihat website-nya ternyata produk-produk ini mengandung salah satu ingredient favorit saya yaitu Niacinamide alias vitamin B3 yang sudah terbukti ampuh untuk perawatan anti-aging dan juga memperbaiki discoloration atau warna kulit tidak merata, jadi oke banget untuk memperbaiki uneven skin tone serta bintik hitam bekas jerawat :)

Untuk urutan pemakaian ke-empat produk diatas adalah sebagai berikut :

2. Lavine Clarity Toner - menyegarkan kulit serta menyiapkan kulit untuk perawatan selanjutnya.

REVIEW :

Lavine Clarity Cleanser

Foaming Cleanser yang lembut membersihkan kulit wajah dan mengangkat lapisan sel kulit mati. Menjadikan kulit tampak bersih, lembut, dan bercahaya.

Saya sudah terbiasa melakukan double cleansing untuk kulit yang lebih bersih. Jadi apabila saya memakai makeup maka langkah pertama yang saya lakukan adalah membersihkan makeup dari wajah dengan pembersih makeup seperti misalnya micellar water ataupun cleansing oil. Setelah memakai makeup remover barulah kemudian saya membersihkan wajah dengan facial cleanser seperti Lavine Clarity Cleanser ini.

Teksturnya memang lembut di kulit dan tidak membuat kulit kering setelahnya. Formulanya terasa ringan namun mampu membuat kulit wajah menjadi terlihat lebih cerah dan bersih bersinar setelah pemakaian cleanser ini. Dengan kandungan Niacinamide (salah satu ingredient favorit saya), triclosan, dan Phyto Extract - cleanser ini membantu membersihkan pori pori wajah secara menyeluruh sehingga kulit pun terasa lebih bersih.

Lavine Clarity Toner

Toner Wajah yang berfungsi untuk menjaga kelembaban kulit sekaligus menyegarkan kulit wajah dan memudahkan penyerapan untuk produk perawatan selanjutnya. 

Setelah membersihkan wajah dengan Clarity Cleanser saya memakai Clarity Toner ini sesudahnya, dengan menggunakan kapas. Packaging-nya berbentuk botol spray sehingga memudahkan untuk aplikasi cairan toner tanpa takut tumpah. 

Toner ini mengandung Niacinamide, Phyto Extract, dan Cucumber Extract di dalamnya sehingga terasa segar di kulit wajah. Dengan memakai toner ini terasa sekali kulit saya menjadi lembab kembali sehabis membersihkan muka. Toner ini juga membantu mengembalikan kondisi kulit menjadi lebih cerah dan jernih.

Lavine Clarity Moisturizer

Moisturizer dengan tekstur ringan yang cepat terserap berfungsi membantu melembabkan dan memberikan efek dingin pada kulit kering. Kulit pun tampak lembut, lembab, dan cerah.

Setelah membersihkan muka dan memakai toner saya pun memakai pelembab agar kulit tidak kering dan terjaga kelembabannya. Packaging moisturizer ini cukup unik karena saya belum pernah mendapat packaging seperti ini sebelumnya. Bentuknya sih seperti botol pendek wadah pelembab biasa, namun botol ini mempunyai sistem "pump" di dalamnya. Jadi untuk mengeluarkan produk kita harus menekan bagian tengah botol dan produk pun akan keluar sedikit demi sedikit. Sistem pump seperti ini lebih higienis dan sekaligus mencegah kebocoran produk.

Pelembab ini mengandung bahan-bahan yang sudah terbukti potensial untuk perawatan kulit, terutama untuk menjaga kelembaban dan kadar air dalam kulit, serta untuk melawan tanda-tanda penuaan pada kulit. Pelembab ini tidak terasa lengket di kulit dan juga cepat menyerap tanpa meninggalkan residu. Kulit kombinasi saya cocok banget pakai pelembab ini, and I think all skin types can use this moisturizer. Formula-nya (ditambah sunscreen diatasnya) merupakan "base" yang oke banget serta tidak mengganggu aplikasi makeup. Love it!

Tabir surya dengan SPF 30 memberikan perlindungan dari paparan sinar UV. Dengan formula ringan dan mudah diserap, mengandung moisturizer untuk menjaga kelembaban kulit.

Pas banget waktu itu saya sedang mencari sunscreen yang tidak mengganggu aplikasi makeup (karena kadang kandungan dalam sunscreen bisa mempengaruhi kulit wajah menjadi lebih oily atau makeup tidak "menyatu" dengan kulit). 

Paduan Clarity Moisturizer dengan Clarity Sunscreen ini adalah paduan favorit saya untuk pemakaian siang hari karena tidak mengganggu proses aplikasi makeup sama sekali, bahkan makeup saya masih bagus dan tidak cepat oily seperti sunscreen kebanyakan. Formula-nya terasa ringan di kulit dan juga tidak meninggalkan residu di permukaan kulit. Sunscreen ini mampu melindungi dari sengatan sinar UVA/UVB yang dapat mengakibatkan noda flek hitam dan kulit kusam. Produk ini ada bau-nya, seperti chemical scent, namun tidak mengganggu saya sama sekali, apalagi jika dibandingkan dengan hasilnya yang buat saya happy :)

Oya, untuk memudahkan pemakaian sunscreen ini botolnya diterbalikkan dulu agar produknya lebih gampang keluar. A little goes a long way, jadi cukup keluarkan produk secukupnya dan usapkan di wajah. Jangan lupa untuk selalu "double cleansing" atau bersihkan muka dua kali setiap habis memakai sunscreen untuk mencegah pori tersumbat :)

Overall, Saya puas dengan rangkaian Lavine Clarity ini. Semua produk yang saya coba tidak ada yang mengecewakan, dan sampai saat ini saya masih pakai rangkain ini setiap hari-nya. Saya juga suka dengan packagingnya karena sudah dipersiapkan sedemikian rupa agar mudah dibawa bepergian tanpa harus takut bocor atau takut produk tumpah. Khusus untuk botol sunscreen memang agak sedikit tricky untuk dipakai, namun tetap higienis dan travel-friendly. Formula sunscreen-nya juga bagus sekali karena mencari sunscreen yang oke itu susah-susah gampang hehe.. Intinya sih semua produk diatas Recommended banget. Kalau yang penasaran patut dicoba lah, hasilnya di saya sangat memuaskan :)

Sebagai seorang wanita biasa pada umumnya perut buncit pun sering saya alami hehe Biasanya perut terlihat buncit kalau kebanyakan makan, kalau sedang masuk angin, atau menjelang dan selama datang bulan. Nah kalau sudah begitu biasanya saya kerepotan sendiri mencari baju yang bisa menutupi area perut saya yang buncit. Berikut adalah tips yang biasanya saya lakukan ketika berpakaian untuk menyamarkan perut :

1. Pilih warna hitam / warna gelap

Seperti yang umumnya kita tahu, salah satu trik lama adalah menutupi kekurangan badan dengan memakai warna gelap atau warna hitam. Trik ini juga sering saya lakukan, hanya saja jangan terpaku dengan warnanya saja tapi pilih juga yang bahannya tidak ketat atau agak longgar. Kalau memakai baju warna hitam tapi bajunya ketat menempel di badan ya sama aja perutnya tetap terlihat buncit karena baju yang menempel akan membentuk siluet badan dan siluet perut (oh no!).

2. Pilih Baju Bercorak Ramai dan Motif Kecil

Selain baju berwarna gelap kita juga bisa menyiasati perut yang buncit dengan memakai baju bercorak ramai dengan motif kecil-kecil. Contohnya adalah seperti foto di bawah ini. Kalau untuk pagi / siang hari biasanya saya lebih sering pakai baju corak ramai seperti ini dibanding baju warna gelap. Corak ramai dengan motif kecil seperti ini dapat menyamarkan area perut sehingga perut buncit pun dapat disembunyikan dengan aman. Cara lainnya adalah dengan memilih model potongan babydoll seperti foto di bawah ini juga. Potongan babydoll atau potongan jahitan di atas perut membuat area perut ke bawah terlihat lebih longgar sehingga perut buncit pun dapat bersembunyi di balik longgarnya baju ;)

3. Pilih Model Baju Dengan Potongan Longgar dan Berbahan Ringan

Seperti yang sudah disebutkan di point no.1 pilihlah baju yang berpotongan longgar agar tidak membentuk siluet badan. Lebih baik lagi apabila bahannya terbuat dari bahan yang ringan dan melayang seperti contohnya di foto baju di bawah ini. Bahan ringan dan potongan longgar sangat membantu untuk menyiasati perut buncit. Selain itu, baju dengan model seperti ini biasanya juga sangat nyaman dipakai dan kita masih bisa makan banyak tanpa takut perut terlihat buncit hehe.

5. EXTRA : Baju Dengan Potongan Overall

Overall sekarang sedang nge-trend, dan overall juga bisa membantu menyamarkan perut yang buncit lho, jadi mumpung lagi trend nggak ada salahnya kalau mencoba overall sebagai salah satu alternatif gaya berpakaian.

Untuk pilihan baju dan dress wanita lainnya, selain model babydoll dan overall juga bisa memilih model "oversized" untuk menutupi kekurangan, misalnya oversized sweater atau oversized tshirt. Kadang saya juga memakai blus atau kemeja panjang dengan satu size lebih besar dari ukuran normal saya, cukup dipadu dengan casual legging yang nyaman dan saya pun siap pergi beraktifitas tanpa perlu khawatir dengan urusan "perut" ;)
