So about this mask... 

This is a Japanese sheet mask from a brand which I cannot pronounce because they are written in Japanese. Only a little part at the back which are in english.

I actually got this mask from one of my bestie who came to Japan a while ago, she brought me a handful of beauty goodies including this mask. I love this mask since the day I got it because obviously can't you see the packaging? It is lovely! A great souvenir from Japan for beauty enthusiasts like moi ;)

There's no other explanation on this sheet mask except that it contains hyaluronic and lithospermum essence. Hyaluronic, as we know, is good for hydrating our skin, hold moisture, and great for anti-aging properties. It also strengthen skin's barrier and has antioxidant properties too. While Lithospermum is believed to have antioxidant, anti-tumor, and anti-inflammatory properties, especially good for sun-exposed skin.

Review:

This mask has a medium thick sheet which is actually my favorite texture. I don't really like the super thin sheet or the thicker sheet mask. Medium thick is nice enough and less-hassle if you asked me. When I first put it on my face I could feel a tad bit tingly sensation, but just a tad bit and only for the first few seconds. After that, it feels normal and didn't even moved. I even did my daily house chores with the mask still on! And it didn't move at all.

Unlike the Korean sheet masks which usually came with lotsa essence, this one does not contain very much. The essence are all in the sheet mask, there's no essence left in the packaging. Usually on other masks I would find essence left inside the packaging that I can use for extra lotion, but this one doesn't have any.

It has soothing and cooling effect especially when used under the air-con. After leaving it for 20-30 mins (as the packaging suggested), I took it off, patted whatever essence left on my face, and found it absorbed really fast.

The after effect is instant plumping, smooth skin surface, cooling down any redness, and an overall healthy looking skin. I would love to use this again if it's available near me, and I would like to recommend this mask to whoever came to Japan :)

I don't think that I've told you before but my Dad just recently passed away on June 30. As the last days of June passed by he too have left us into a happier place (insya ALLAH, Amien..). It came as a shock to me and my family because it was a sudden death. He was healthy and rarely got sick except for the occasional flu, but that day he fell off and had an instant head trauma injury. A very fatal one. It has been very very hard for me and my family. I cannot function properly and been sad every day, even until today I still cried a lot. I am devastated but I still try to move on with my life because I know my dad would have wanted me to. He always hate seeing me sad.. So I just know he would have wanted me to go on with my life and be happy again. Although it's very hard to do, but I try everyday... Luckily I have hubby by my side. He's been supporting me a lot through this.. 

Anyway, I'm trying to be active again here in the blogging world because it keeps my mind off things. Also, this is basically my freelance job so I had to be active again in order to gain capitals. I will start with sharing about my skincare routine for the past few days. I have been changing my routines every other day depending on my skin condition, but these two routines below should give you a glimpse of the products I used on my skincare routine lately :

Usually I keep it simple in the morning because most of the time I always in a hurry by morning (because I'm not a morning person, that is why!). So I usually only keep it with face wash, toner, moisturizer + sunscreen, and lipbalm. But on days that I have a little spare time or when I'm not going anywhere I could add a face mask and an exfoliating product (usually face scrubs or peeling).

At night I usually did a double cleansing (or triple cleansing if I must!). For me, a thorough cleansing is the key to great skin. So I always make sure that my face is cleansed before turning to bed. If I wore makeup or sunscreen that day I would definitely do a double cleanse. But if I don't wear makeup nor sunscreen that day I can skip with double cleansing and chose a deep cleansing wash instead (just to be safe). 

I also applied some acids during my evening routine. Usually I alternate daily between AHA/BHA and Vitamin C. So for instance, if on Sunday I put on my AHA/BHA acids, then on Monday I put on my Vitamin C serum. But sometimes I don't put them at all when I'm being lazy (;p).

- If I wear full makeup then I would add another step which is the third cleanse with an eye makeup remover (I'm using Clinique Take The Day Off Eyes & Lip MakeUp Remover). 

- I would also add a face mask, a face serum and/or a night moisturizer if my skin is dry. Currently I'm using Sukin Facial Recovery Serum and Sukin Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturizer. I'm also trying to use up my Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask and my Freeman's Anti-Stress Dead Sea Minerals Mask.

Mereka tahu persis bahwa semua mata akan memandang mereka saat mereka akan bepergian, terutama para paparazzi yang beredar disana. Bagi kebanyakan selebriti di Korea, bandara adalah panggung fashion kedua.

Ok, kembali ke topik semula. Tentu mode berpakaian Yoona tak hanya patut disimak saat ia melenggang di bandara semata. Busana semi formal yang ia kenakan pun selalu menjadi incaran para remaja.

Contohnya, saat dia menghadiri peluncuran film “The Truth Beneath”, pada 20 Juni lalu di CGV Wangsimni Theater, Seoul. Ia mengenakan gaun hitam pendek berenda rancanggan Isabel Marant Etoile, dengan tas ransel kasual dari Dior.

Another day another Korean skincare product to try out. This time I'm trying out two products from another Korean brand : The Skin. 

Their official website is in Korean language but they are now officially distributed here in Indonesia by PT. Heonz Royal Jaya. I got a set of Lime series from The Skin, including The Skin Pure Lime Cleansing Foam and The Skin Cleansing Oil with Lime Extract.

Skincare is something that I always have a passion of, because I believe that a good skin would be a good base for any makeup ( even with no makeup ! ).

A basic rule in skincare is ALWAYS always clean your face ! A good and regular cleansing would result in great skin if done properly.

I usually do a morning face wash with a light cleansing foam / facial wash, and a thorough makeup removal at night with double (sometimes triple) cleansing method to ensure a clean skin before I turn to bed. So I always have several different options of face washes and makeup removal products in stock in my bathroom vanity. I also have a stock of face wash and travel skincare products in my parents house because I stayed there quite often. That's why I always appreciate a new facial wash and/or makeup removal product because those are products that I use every day diligently without skipping it.

Now I would review these two newest cleansing products in my vanity :

This Pure Lime Cleansing Foam consists of vitamin-rich lime extract and botanical extract that helps skin to stay moisturized after cleansing. According to the packaging this cleansing foam is hydrating and skin-soothing, makes skin calm and comfortable, while giving a lime-fresh feeling. It is also Free from paraben, pigment, and skin-irritating ingredients.

Review:

This Cleansing Foam has a bouncy foamy texture. You only need to squeeze out a little bit of this product to use it. When I used too much of the foam my skin would feel a tad bit dry, so it is best to use just a small pea size amount for every use. 

It feels soothing on my skin and it also felt like it really clean my face and lift the dust and dirt off. It also left me with an obvious brighter complexion after every usage.

I like to use this in the morning as my morning wash because it is full of Vitamin C and other nutrients from fresh lime extracts that leaves my skin feeling fresh and brighter. This Cleansing Foam also lifts off excess oil on my face so I imagine this product would be very nice for those with oily skin. Just don't forget to use just a small pea size so your skin won't feel tight.

According to the packaging this Cleansing Oil will remove makeup, sebum, and skin impurities while leaving a freshness feel of lime. It also contains refined natural moisturizing ingredients to keep the skin balanced, translucent, and silky soft.

Review:

I love me a good cleansing oil so I was delighted to try this out. This Cleansing oil has a lightweight formula but able to deep cleanse the skin. It is formulated with citrus and olive oil so it feels soft and soothing on the skin.

The makeup removal ability is actually really good. It lift off my makeup including my foundation and heavy eye makeup. It didn't feel too oily on my skin when I use this, and it also didn't leave sticky feeling on my face afterwards. Usually some of the cleansing oils I've tried would left an oily sticky residue on the skin after using it, but not too much with this one, so I'm really liking this cleansing oil.

In short, I love the light formula and it's ability to lift off makeup without feeling too sticky and oily (although I always add a facial wash after using cleansing oil to double cleanse).

Overall, I can recommend both of these products from The Skin especially the Cleansing Oil with Lime Extract. Now I'm including this Cleansing Oil into my everyday skincare routine (because I like it and I think it works great). And I'm also using the Lime Cleansing Foam as my daily face wash in my parents house (because I stayed at my parents every weekend). 

It's nice to find a good cleansing product to add to my growing skincare collection. I always try to use all of my existing products before it expires. I'm also loving many Korean skincare products nowadays. I think they have great formula suitable for Asian skin condition. Have you tried any Korean skincare ?
