Long time no empties post, so here I am doing it again, because I actually love listing all my empties and added some notes to it, so that way I won't forget which products worked on me and which ones did not.
I also love accumulating empty products because I got satisfying feeling when I finished a product, especially if that product been sitting too long on my vanity.
I also love accumulating empty products because I got satisfying feeling when I finished a product, especially if that product been sitting too long on my vanity.
So here are all the products that I managed to finished during the last 3 months : August, September, and October. It's quite a lot of products but I did took 3 months to finished all of these. Mostly are my old products that's been opened for too long, so I'm really glad I finished them (although I still have some of old opened products that I'm still struggling to finish soon).
I will divide it into 5 parts here so that it will be easier to read, and it would also be easier for me to find specific product incase I need some info in the future while looking back to this post.
The parts would be : skincare, hair care, body care, makeup products, sheet masks, and samples. I will also try to write some notes and mini reviews about how I feel for each product.
So now let's start with the most products I finished, which is the Skincare category :
So now let's start with the most products I finished, which is the Skincare category :
Skincare:
Kiehls Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner
This was my travel size toner that I bring with me in my travel bag to my parents / in laws house where I mostly stayed during weekend. Lots of girls love this toner but to me it's just like a regular toner and nothing special with it. It is alcohol free and meant for all skin types especially dry or sensitive skin, but my combination skin seems to not really like it that much.
NOTE : I haven't bought any travel size toner to replace this but I'm eyeing other Kiehls travel size toners, such as the Kiehls Calendula toner or the famous Blue herbal astringent toner.
Garnier Light Complete Night Restore Multi-Action Whitening Cream
This was my evening moisturizer for my traveling and stay-over because the size is perfect for my travel toiletries bag. Overall an okay product, actually I never had any problems with Garnier products, they all seems to be a generally good product for supermarket brand.
NOTE : To replace this I'm now using the full size version of this exact product :)
Lush Angels on Bare Skin
One of my favorite face cleanser ever (!!) this is sooo gooood for my face, morning or night. It has unique texture in which you can exfoliate your face while cleansing all dirt and oil at the same time. You can also use this as an exfoliating mask by letting it sit on your face for a few minutes before rinsing it off. Love love love this face cleanser! See the texture and review Here.
NOTE : Would love to repurchase this again !
Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel
Aside from the Lush Angels on Bare Skin above, this Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel is also one of my top three face wash ever (!). The formula is non-stripping so you can use it whenever you want to. It also make my face feels fresh and clean after using it. A great no-hassle face wash with great cleansing properties!
NOTE : I already purchased this twice and am willing to repurchase it again in the future. But right now I still have a few face washes left to be finished first.
Evian Facial Spray
Just a nice facial spray derived from natural water spring. This face spray moisturizes, refreshes, and tones the skin after washing. It also feels nice to spray this on my face during hot summer days and under the sun to refresh a bit.
NOTE : I still have one bottle left in my stock pile but right now I'm still using my Bioderma Hydrabio Brume which is as nice as this one, only a bit nicer :)
Hair care :
Vidal Sassoon Premium Base Care Shampoo
As usual, you will see empty shampoos regularly in this Empties posts because I always changed up my shampoos. This one is the shampoo I used at my parents house. I wanna say I like this shampoo but if I don't use a conditioner afterwards this shampoo would weigh my hair down a little bit. Overall an okay product but I've used shampoos that works better for my hair condition (oily scalp, dry strands).
NOTE : Right now to replace this I'm using Watsons Naturals Olive Shampoo in my bathroom at my parents house.
Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner
I started using conditioners again after finding out that certain types of conditioners actually work for my hair, so I'm back to trying out hair conditioners again. This classic cult-favorite product from the international brand Aussie is one of the best ones I've tried. Now I know why everyone else liked it : you get light bouncy hair with this one. And it also made my hair smooth and manageable all day (as long as I use only a small amount).
NOTE : I would repurchase this in the future but right now I still have a few hair conditioner left in my stock pile, including Herbal Essences Touchable Smooth Hair Conditioner which I'm currently using.
Bodycare :
This Works Deep Sleep Shower Gel
I had this shower gel for a loooong time and it's been hard to finish it because I don't really fancy the scent of lavender which is what this shower gel is all about. This Works is another brand that I've always curious about because they seem to have many interesting products on their collection, and this "Deep Sleep" series is the first series I've tried from the brand. The series focuses on sleep problems and I think it kinda works somehow. Read my whole review on the Midnight Hour set that include this shower gel and Deep Sleep Stress Less roller pen that helps me to sleep faster by clicking Here.
Lux Magical Spell Fragrance Body Wash
As I mentioned before, I usually spent my weekend at my parents or my in laws' house for a stay-over, so I keep my own toiletries at each house (such as my own shampoo, shower gel, etc). This Lux Magical Spell fragrance body wash is what I used in my parents house and we've just ran out of it. I got this product from the huge box that Lux Indonesia sent to me a while ago. This one has fragrance pearls of black orchids and juniper oil. And it smells sweet and elegant with a sensual velvety touch. One of my favorite scent from the bunch!
NOTE : As replacement I'm now using Floral Dream Honey & Shea Butter Body Wash in my bathroom at my parents house.
Lux Secret Bliss Fragrance Body Wash
Another one from the huge box that Lux Indonesia sent me a while ago, this is what I used in my in laws house. It's a coincidence that they all finished around the same time. This one has fragrance pearls of Egyptian violet and Elemi oil, and the scent is similar with Magical Spell above, only a bit more lighter and sweeter.
NOTE : As replacement I'm now using Palmolive Aromatherapy Morning Tonic Shower Gel in my bathroom at my in laws house.
Burts Bees Coconut Foot Cream
I rarely throw away half empty product because I hate wasting product, so I would try my best to finish it first or give it to someone else instead of just throwing it away. But this one is a very rare exclusion. I really don't like the sticky formula of this coconut foot cream and I don't think everyone around me would appreciate the weird sticky gooey formula, so I decided to just throw it away and not giving it to someone else, because the formula is really that weird. Read my review on other Burt's Bees products Here.
NOTE : Def would not repurchase it again. Meanwhile, to replace this I'm currently using Nip+Fab Dry Leg Fix.
Bath Body Works Paris Amour PocketBac
I never go out without this little pocketbac on my bag because I'm weird with my hands, I need them to always be clean and germ-free. Paris Amour is one of my favorite scent of BBW pocketbacs and I also love the pink design on the front too, it looks super pretty when I use it with my embellished pink pocketbac holder, also from BBW.
NOTE : To replace this right now I'm using BBW Holy Berry Wreath Pocketbac.
Makeup :
MUA Hide & Conceal Cover Up Stick in Natural
I actually kinda like this concealer and been using it to cover my blemishes, but since it broke out into two parts it's just hard to use it with that broken-up condition, so I had to retire this well-loved concealer.
NOTE : Haven't found any new replacement for this yet, for now I'm still using my Benefit Boi-ing Concealer to replace this.
CK Calvin Klein Strawberry Flavoured Lip Gloss
I had this for so long and it's been sitting on my lipstick drawer for a very long time. I remember it is such a gorgeous shade when worn in my lips especially with that nice glossy look that made my lips look fresh and pretty. But the formula is a little bit on the gooey side, and the packaging is blah because the lipgloss keep spilling out from the neck of the tube. But overall, an okay product.
NOTE : I love using lipgloss but the matte lipstick is what's "on trend" now so I havent bought new lipgloss yet. I'm currently using MUA Intense Kisses Lip Gloss in Lips Are Sealed as my go-to lipgloss.
Missha Perfect Eyebrow Styler
I don't have that many experience with eyebrow filler because I'm not an expert on eyebrows but this eyebrow styler from Missha is one of my favorite one to use. It is a dual-ended pen with the eyebrow filler on one end and a sponge+wand on the other end. So really, it is a multi-function product. It's all you need to bring to fix your eyebrows. Read the review of this eyebrow styler and 4D mascara Here.
NOTE : Recommended and will repurchase !
Eve Organics Natural Eyeliner in Midnight Blue
Eyeliners and Mascaras are the top two makeup product that I keep on buying and accumulate. This particular one is a natural makeup product that I had since a long time ago which was sent to me from one of my sponsor. It was a very nice eyeliner but now it doesn't work anymore because the color won't show and the formula is now patchy, probably because i've had this for soooo looong so it just stop working. So, out to the bin it is ..
Holika Holika Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner (Forest Green)
These Holika Holika jewel light eyeliners are also one of my oldest eyeliners in my vanity right now. These too has stopped working (probably because it's too old to be used again). I have two of these Holika Holika eyeliner, this one is in shade Forest Green. The texture and formula is not as pretty as it used to be, and the color won't show anymore (seems to dried up). But these eyeliners were among my favorite ones to use when I first got them because they have this sparkling look to it which makes my eyes seems more attractive, perfect to be used at night :)
Holika Holika Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner (Dark Blue)
Same as above, this one is in shade dark blue which was my favorite shade among the two Holika Holika eyeliners. I used this mostly to replace my black eyeliner if I want something less smokey for a night out look. Had to throw these three eyeliners into the bin although they're not finished, just because they can't be used anymore...
Sheet Masks :
No:Hj Aqua Soothing Mask (x4)
Containing hyaluronic acid, ceramide, and witch hazel extract this sheet mask surely hydrates my skin very well. It also contains NO chemical and preservatives. The only thing that turns me off a little bit is the super thin sheet that's so thin it is very fragile and prone to tearing and breaking, so you have to be very very careful when opening the sheet mask. Otherwise, it's an overall nice product.
Read the Review Here.
Etude House Moistfull Mask
This one has a moisturizing properties and a hydrating effect. The essence is not that much but just enough to give hydration and moist to our skin. Other than that I think this is just a regular sheet mask.
(Will write detailed review soon).
Bio Essence Snail Secretion Repair Mask
This one has one of those thin sheets but not as thin as the No:hj Aqua Soothing Mask above. It is also slightly scented so if you're allergic to fragrance in skincare you might wanna skip this one. A little bit tingly feeling but I love the end result : plumped up and youthful appearance on my face :)
NOTE : Will probably repurchase and will try other variant of Bio Essence masks in the future.
Mentholatum Beauty Collagen
This is a two-piece sheet masks that feels snug and cover every corner of my face. It has collagen properties which is good for anti-aging. It feels good on the skin and I can feel the tightening effect immediately. Results are plumped face, smoother and brighter skin tone.
NOTE : Recommended for the super cheap price!
Melano Science Whitening Mask
I got this from a bestie who went to Japan. This one has a thicker sheet and abundant essence. It feels dripping wet on the face although there's no actual drip. It felt cooling on the skin and very relaxing and calming. The end result is instant brightening, and healthy slightly dewy complexion. Love!
NOTE : Recommended!
Samples / Travel Size :
Skin Food Peach Sake Pore Serum
One of the nicest serum I've ever tried on, this Skin Food Pore Sake Serum is cooling and refreshing yet calming and relaxing at the same time. It also has a very nice subtle scent that I love so much. As for the pore treatment I couldn't say much because this was just a teeny tiny little sachet sample, but for the scent and texture alone I would recommend it :)
Sampar Glamour Shot
I got this sample from a long time ago, from one of my collaboration project with Sampar Indonesia. I just found this empty tube on the corner of my drawer and obviously I have emptied this tiny tube a long time ago. This is basically acts like a primer for your face, giving you smooth appearance and brighter skin tone (just like your face been freshly awaken). I kinda liked this Glamour Shot but I much prefer the Glamour Shot Eyes better.
Finished !
So for the last three months I totally binned 25 products. There were 16 full size products that I managed to binned, and there were also 4 sample / travel size products and 5 sheet masks.
I also forgot to include a couple items in the photo so I will throw them to next month's empty bin instead.
Meanwhile, I am so happy that I can finished mostly full size products this time. I finished three shower gels around the same time because I have three different bathrooms (the one in my apartment, the one in my parents house, and the one in my in laws house). I also got rid of 6 makeup products (4 of them I threw away) which kinda emptied my makeup drawer a little bit, so that's good :)
Last but not least, I used some significance amount of my sheet masks so there's some reduction on my sheet masks box now. Actually I used up 4 of the No:Hj Aqua Soothing Sheet Masks, but I only kept one sheet mask packaging to include in this photograph, so I actually finished more than 25 products in total :)
