[Eyecare] : SKINFOOD Gold Caviar Lifting Eye Serum

Eyebags and dark under-eye has always been my daily problem. Maybe because I'm an insomniac who can only sleeps after midnight? Or probably the lack of sleep and the daily-stress that cause all that (not to mention the thin tired lines that seems to be visible these days). All I know is I'm always in search of a good eye cream that can help me with my daily under-eye problems.
Eye care product is a hard zone for me. While I can mostly get away with all the various products I've tried and put on my face, I CAN NOT get along with most eyecare products. The area under my eyes are kind of sensitive and probably too thin or maybe too oily (I'm not sure) because it seems that all the eye cream/serum/lotion that I have tried would mostly caused milia under my eyes.
And I hate Milia ! So much ! It irritates me !
And I hate Milia ! So much ! It irritates me !
From what I understand, a milia is built up because the products that we used are too heavy or too oily for the thin skin under the eyes (*cmiiw). So it's been hard for me to choose an eyecare product because they are usually either too heavy or too oily for my "thin" skin. I have milia around my eyes all the time, most of them wouldn't come off for months and months. And even after I got rid of that milia now I already have new ones coming up on the exact same spot. That's my history with milia, and why I hate it.
Right now I'm currently using Clinique All About Eyes Serum for my eye treatment routine, but before Clinique I was using this one below from the Korean brand Skin Food :
Skin Food Gold Caviar Lifting Eye Serum
A total eye care serum that moisturizes and applies nutrients to the skin surrounding the eyes to make it full of resilience with the ingredients of caviar and gold. Its main function is to hydrate and nourish, and to also eliminate and prevent fine lines and wrinkles.
Review:
I first have high hopes for this serum because it is water based so I'm hoping that it would not be too heavy for the thin sensitive skin under my eye area. It does have a light formula and absorbed quite easily under my skin and there was slightly bit sticky residue that I can feel on my skin but it's alright considering I only use it at night.
I actually like this one at first because it doesn't feel as heavy as other eye creams/serums I've tried before, I actually like the texture and the light formula, but then after a few uses I have to let this one go to the bin because .... you guessed it .... it gave me milia in the end :(
So if you're like me and your under-eye area is prone to milia then I suggest you pass this one up, because even after all the good reviews I've read about this serum, and even with it's water based formula this eye serum is still too heavy for my under-eye skin. It gave me milia and burned my hopes down. I also actually didn't really see it working with my problem area too. This might be good if you have dry skin underneath your eye though !
So now I'm still looking for the right eye care product that can tackle my eyebags, dark area, as well as keeping those thin lines at bay. I can't say much about the Clinique All About Eyes Serum that I'm currently using because I haven't been using it too long yet, but so far so good ...
If you're curious I've also reviewed another popular eyecare product which is the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum Infusion which was actually quite good because it didn't gave me milia, but it just wasn't working for my eyebags and dark under-eyes (although it works with my fine lines) so I wanted to try something else to help me reduce the appearance of the dreaded eyebags.
Lemme know if you have tried a lightly-textured eyecare product ! I would love to try it :)
Hugs & Kissies !
