I've been doing a lime juice therapy lately and I don't know why but my lips is getting dry and chapped ever since I started the therapy, I thought maybe it has something to do with the sourness of the amount of lime juice I've taken daily. Or maybe I'm just simply super dehydrated.

My lips has gone off the hill! I got my fare share of dry chapped lips a couple of times but this time it is super seriously chapped! I got flaky lips all the time and it made my lipstick turned ugly and every time I eat something my lips just chapped and flakes to the point that I am embarrassed with it.

My usual lip balm (EOS spheres lip balm and even my Korres Lip Butter) didn't give me any improvement right away, so I thought it's time to bringing in the big gun!

Nuxe Reve De Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm is the best selling lip balm (according to Nuxe website). It is a nourishing and repairing lip balm with honey and vitamin E as the star ingredients. The website also stated that the honey and precious oils in this lip balm are highly concentrated so it would help nourish, repair, soothe, and protect even the driest and damaged lips.

At least 79,5% of the lip balm ingredients are natural, and it is also Paraben free. It also suppose to have a subtle taste of grapefruit although I couldn't really taste the grapefruit in it (but maybe that's because I don't actually remember how grapefruit tastes like).

So I've heard lots of great things about this particular lip balm and I've had it in my storage for quite a long time but I restrained myself to open it because I was saving it for when my lips need some urgent intervention. So now I think it's the right time to finally open it because my lips is really in bad condition and it needs help so bad.

When I first open the jar I was surprised to see the solid texture inside that resemble a solid sugar scrub instead of a balm / gel texture. It has a unique texture for a lip balm. The formula is a thick textured paste with a "dirty" brown-ish color to it. It feels rather gritty when you applied it but I used circular motion when applying it to my lips and it sinks in without leaving any trace of grittiness or grease. You can even see some tiny little bits of granules in the texture, mixed together into the paste. It also has a very subtle scent that you can only smell when you put your nose really close to the jar, otherwise you won't smell a thing (;p).

When I applied it on my lips the texture feels like putting on a thick paste on to the lips, and it also feels like a soft exfoliator because of the gritty texture. But surprisingly it melts and sinks into the lips quite fast and it does smooths my lips texture a little bit right after application. It doesn't give you shiny glossy projections like lip balms usually do, but instead it makes your lips feel a little bit damped and moisturized, and also remains matte, so you can put on lipstick on top of it.

I have been using this Nuxe Reve De Miel religiously, morning and night. I like that it has no color when put on, so it won't disturb with the lipstick color. 

When all my other lip balms didn't give any satisfying results even after a week of routine application, this Nuxe lip balm really does its job in just a matter of days. After 4 days of putting this lip balm day and night it resulted in a smoother and more moisturized lip. No more dry flaky lips for me! And bye bye splotchy lipstick! My lips are now back into its normal state again, but I'm still using this lip balm whenever I feel that my lips gets a bit dry or dehydrated. A real savior indeed.
