APRIL

In April there are several things to highlight. First of all, we trade up our car in an unexpected opportunity! It all happened so fast and it was done in one day work! But Alhamdulillah all went well. We also did two out-of-town trips this month: first to Pelabuhan Ratu for a one day trip, and second is our holiday to Lombok (!) where we stayed in a secluded island and also in a more hip Gili Trawangan "party" island. I also bought my first real pearl in Lombok 😀

MAY

It's my husband's birthday this month and he got a gift that he always wanted which is apple tv. This month we also visited Sea World with our fam on an impromptu weekend. Blog and workwise, I did a freelance work as part of an ad-hoc survey team this month, tried the hyped-up Silicon Sponge in collabs with one of my sponsor, and took part on Clozette Indonesia's 3rd anniversary celebration (!).

I also did a few designer purchases this month, I got lucky and found a seller who sell their (preloved) designer pieces. Some of my acquisitions include a Missoni knit blouse, Burberry polo shirt & dress, a Chloe blouse, and a Marc by Marc Jacobs Mouse Flat Shoes. I also purchased my first tall boots (from Next) this month and will save them for future winter holiday(s).

JUNE

This month was rather a sad month because it was Dad's 1 year death-versary (😔). It was also Eid Al Fitr and this year we spent the first Eid day in Bandung where we stayed at The Eight Hotel and had coffee and snacks at The Sleeping Forest, and then the 2nd and 3rd day we spent it in Jakarta visiting families. Blogging wise, I did a collaboration with Wardah, and being introduced to some new-to-me brands such as The Ordinary by Deciem, Saboon natural soaps, and Dr Soap products which is actually a local brand. I also did a "7 Days Sheet Mask Challenge" on my blog and IG, and also bought my first Ittaherl shoes, yay!

JULY

This month we were awed by the new Ultimate T3 terminal at the International Soekarno-Hatta airport. It was newly opened and we saw it when we were dropping my mom off at the terminal. It is 3 times better than the old terminal I must say. This month I also did a couple of sponsored posts and review projects on zé blog.

AUGUST

My birthday month, yay! This month I was very blessed because another of my oldest dream came true (thanks to my beloved husband) : I finally own my first MacBook Air ! ❤️♥️ Now all I need is an apple watch to complete it all, Lol. Anyway, this year we had our usual birthday shopping + dinner, and then we also had birthday dinner with my cousins and mom. I also watched Hava x Sapto Djojokartiko fashion show at the Papillon Kemang as part of the Star Clozetter team.

SEPTEMBER

This month is when I got "Sportswear crazy!" 😁. I finally dedicate myself to seriously lose weight and do easy sports such as jogging. But I don't have any sport shoes because the last time I own a sneaker was back in high school, so I needed one if I want to start jogging, right? So I bought my first "adult sneakers", LOL (which is an Adidas boost in pink). I also purchased some new Adidas sportswear because I have nothing to wear for my running / jogging session.

We also started jogging in Ragunan at the wee hour in the morning where it is so quiet and not a lot of people there. I actually enjoyed it because it's such a very vast area where we can jog or cycle all we want, and it is secluded by giant trees and greeneries, and I always love being close to animals too.
This month we also celebrated Ied Adha and we spent it in Jakarta and I wore my Sapto for Hava dress which everyone is raving about ;)

OCTOBER

I did a couple of blog projects this month including with Pixy Cosmetics and B.Liv Malaysia. Attended a couple of beauty events such as Veet x Beauty Journal where I met Cathy Sharon & Rachel Goddard there (!), and also Mizzu Cosmetics event. I also found a Marc Jacobs dress and a Harry Potter Ltd sweater at a factory outlet, wowzah!

NOVEMBER

In November we went to visit the Tulip bazaar at Erasmus Huis with my mom (which we mistook for a flower bazaar but apparently it's just an ordinary bazaar). Then we found Honu this month which since become one of our favorite healthy meals to dine out. I also finally checked out Caswell Cafe which I've been wanting to visit since a long time ago because it is so close to where we live, and lastly we visited the Yayoi Kusama Infinity Mirrored Room at the new Museum Macan, where we experience such a beautiful mesmerizing work of art from the eyes of Yayoi Kusama.

We also started a new TTC therapy this month, consumpting Zuriat fruit which my cousin brought for us from UAE. Hopefully it will succeed, Amien.. Then lastly, I purchased another "Adult sneaker" this time, but this one is reserved for traveling and not for daily jogging because it is one of my wishlist shoes, the classic Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Paraty. Also thanks to my hubby I got a new lens by the end of this month, a 35mm lens by Meike.

DECEMBER

This month one of our cat Kiddo passed away due to old age and sickness. We always felt pity on him because he was a paranoid cat, he has always been afraid of everything and chose our house as one of his safe place. I hope he is happy now and doesn't have to be scared anymore..

After Kiddo passed over to the rainbow bridge our other cat Jackie had some kind of unexplained accident and both of his legs have to be stitched at the vet. Then after the surgery is finished we brought him home but the wound is open again so we had to bring him back to the vet to be stitched again. This happens twice so he got a total of 3 surgeries within 1.5 week (poor Jackie..). Please wish him well guys... As of now he is still in the vet for recovery and observation. 

Anyway, this month I got "Miniso-crazy" :) I literally went to the store almost every week and purchased so many things and talk about it so often Miniso should employ me as their ambassador, LOL. I kept telling all my relatives and friends how I love Miniso and especially their bags which I now owned almost every bag Miniso offered at their store, LOL.

Lastly, nearing the end of the month we got two more leisure trips, one to the Schmutzer Primate Centre with our nephew, and to the Tafso Barn in Punclut, Bandung. I also won a giveaway from Juara, winning my most coveted product that has been sitting on top of my Juara wish list everrrr : their Juara Candlenut Body Polish! This can be used wet or dry without water, so you can also use this as hand scrub whenever and wherever you want because you don't need water to clean it off!

So although not many exciting things happened in 2017 but it is still a good year to us. We got enough savings to go on a holiday, upgraded my old laptop, and trade up our car (Alhamdulillah). But I was also slacking a bit in the blogging and social media works when I know I shouldn't. The beginning of 2018 might not be pretty because we had a debt that we have to pay soon, and one of the job that hubby was looking forward to wasn't really working out because their offer was below our expentancy, so yeah... that's life.. sometimes we are up, sometimes we are down. I just hope that the rest of of 2018  and years ahead would be more colorful and full of blessings for us all (can I hear an "Amen" ?).
