[2018] January EMPTIES
8:57:00 PMIt's time for another Empties post again !
I finished quite a lot of opened full sized products back in December (see my last Empties post) so this month there were not much left. Most of these are old products that I need to finish, and there wasn't much products this month maybe because I have used up all of the full sized ones back in December.
Nonetheless, these are products that I managed to used up this time and I'm glad I emptied them all because some of the products listed were very old products that I was so eager to finish.

As usual, I will list them below in categories so it would be easier to read. I also commented on whether or not I like them, and what product that I use to replace them :)

Tony Moly Backstage Eyeliner | NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Ibiza
Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Ibiza
This was one of my favorite NYX SMLC shade so I went through it like crazy. The shade is pretty much like the bottle shows. It's like a deep toned pink shade with a touch of fuchsia in it, which looks very pretty on the lips. I also love NYX SMLC formula as they are matte but doesn't dry down my lips. They also applies smoothly and the color payoff is gorgeous. 'Nough said.

Tony Moly Backstage Gel Eyeliner
This one is super old. I held on to it because the formula was still wearable and I liked the result. It came with a built-in pointy brush and the shade is the blackest black of all the eyeliners I have in my vanity. But last time I checked the formula has harden and the last time I used this was probably 1 year ago, so yeah.. off to the bin it is ! You can read my review here : Tony Moly Backstage Eyeliner.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara (sample size)
This was my favorite before I ran out of it. I bring this in my makeup pouch that I put inside my bag for touch-ups. But then I end up wearing it as my everyday mascara because I fell in love with the formula. It doesn't clump, doesn't smudge, and it made my lashes long and lifted (!). I use several layers with this mascara and it still doesn't clump. SCORE!

Senzues Night Active Body Lotion
Saboon Dragon's Blood Natural Soap
If you've been reading my blog long enough you might probably know about my love for natural soapbars. I love trying them and there are lots of varieties out there, including this local brand that was actually created by one of my blogger friend. Saboon is a handmade artisan soap, made of natural ingredients with no sls and no parabens. I specifically enjoyed Dragon's Blood with a combination of incense and baby powder fragrance. It also contains cocoa butter and lots of activated charcoal to help purify skin. I also love the look of the Dragon's blood which is a black soap with red tints and some glitter on top.

Senzues Night Active Body Lotion
I have oily skin and live in the tropics so I don't like putting on body lotion because they would feel sticky on my skin especially if I spent my days out there under the sun. So for mornings I usually prefer using body oils rather than lotions because my skin absorbed body oils like crazy. Then I use my body lotion for evenings only, especially right before I go to sleep because that's when I turn on the air con that would make my skin dry. So this was my evening body lotion and I loved how it was so light and smells relaxing, perfect for evening use where all you want is relax 😌 Read my review here : Senzues Night Active Body Lotion.

L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream
I think this was the last L'Occitane hand cream I have on my stock, phew.. I had quite a few of these in my stock drawer because I was previously on a "handcream" binge. But now I got bored with them, and it turned out that I don't really use hand creams that much anymore. So I'm glad I finally finish this last batch (though I still have a few hand creams left from other brands *cringe*). Anyway I don't really like the scent of this and I think the dry skin formula is just too rich for my oily skin.

YSL Forever Youth Liberator Cleansing Foam | Pixi Glow Tonic
Juara Miracle Tea Complete Eye Creme | Takara Konjac Sponge
The Face Shop Olive Sheet Mask | Guardian Refreshing Kiwi Sheet Mask
YSL Forever Youth Liberator Cleansing Foam
I finally finished this up! I think this has a lot of products inside and I usually only need just a small amount of it for every use, and that's why this took so long to finished. I love the light formula that's perfect for morning wash. I also love how it felt so gentle on my skin, and most of all I really love the scent of it ! It smells like those products you use in a spa :) You can read my detailed review here : YSL Forever Youth Liberator Cleansing Foam.

Takara Konjac Sponge
This is not my first time using Konjac sponge. I have used it before and loved how practical they are. But then they were suddenly unpopular and we should change them after several months of usage anyway, so I stopped using them. But when I found this on my stock cabinet I was so happy that I just realized I still had one left, and decide to use Konjac again to cleanse my face. Konjac sponge is a facial cleansing massage puff made of konyaku. I have been enjoying it so far and it reminds me how much I love using konjac sponges before. I might look and buy new ones after this :) Read my Konjac Sponge reviews here : Konjac Sponge.

The Face Shop Olive Sheet Mask
I only used two sheet masks last month and one of them is this Olive sheet mask from the Korean brand The Face Shop. This is a moisturizing and nourishing sheet mask containing olive extracts that provide extra moisture for skin. You can read my review here : The Face Shop Olive Sheet Mask.
Guardian Refreshing Kiwi Sheet Mask
This is my first time trying on Guardian sheet masks and I think overall it's an okay product. This one has kiwi extract to help reduce excess oil and refresh the skin. I have written a detailed review about this sheet mask so you can read it there instead : Guardian Refreshing Kiwi Facial Mask.
Juara Miracle Tea Complete Eye Creme (sample size)
I have tried a few amount of Juara products and I think my skin mostly agrees with them all. I always love Juara products as they are a well-known International brand that has roots here in Indonesia. Their ingredients are also focuses on natural traditional herbs and plants (which is kinda my thing), so I always enjoy trying out their products. This Juara miracle tea complete eye creme was actually quite good too. It's not too thick and creamy for my sensitive oily under-eye area, and my skin absorbed it well too. Though I can't vouch for the result because I only used this one tiny sample size and that's not enough to bring on results. But meanwhile, you can read my assorted Juara products reviews here : Juara products.
Pixi Glow Tonic (sample size)
This was my first attempt at trying out the famous Pixi Glow Tonic that everyone been raving about in the skincare world. I wasn't sure whether it would have effect on my skin so I decided to buy the sample first before purchasing the full bottle (because it is so expensive). Well guess what, my skin loved this since the first use (!). Blemishes fades away quickly and it controls the acne and oiliness in my combination skin too. So I purchased the bigger bottle after finishing this quickly.

BBW White Barn "Leaves" Candle
Bath & Body Works Holly Berry Wreath Pocket Bac
Bath & Body Works Holly Berry Wreath Pocket Bac
Bath & Body Works / White Barn "Leaves" Candle
White Barn is known as the home fragrance section of Bath & Body Works, so a lot of BBW candles has "White Barn" brand in the packaging. I know that there wasn't supposed to be any difference between BBW candles and White Barn candles but I don't know why I always prefer the "White Barn" ones. Maybe because their design is more pretty ? Anyway, this "Leaves" candle is one of BBW best-seller scent for candles especially for Fall and Winter. And it definitely one of my fave too! I love the captivating scent ever since I first smelled it. A green "leafy" scent mixed with a breeze in the air, that's how I would describe the scent 😊 I think I might purchase the big sized one after finishing this mini one.

Bath & Body Works Holly Berry Wreath Anti-Bac Hand Gel
It looks like I have been on a "BBW empties" binge since last month, because I finished quite a lot of BBW products for the last 2 months, LOL. Last month I also emptied one of my anti-bac hand gel (the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin one) and this month I emptied another one. I don't know why but I always love winter scents (and we don't even have winter here in our country!). This Holly Berry Wreath is one of the classic BBW winter scent and mine is the old one because it still has the old packaging. This smells minty and icy fresh, with a sweet berry notes to it. One of my favorite winter scent it is !

---------------------
That is it for my first Empties post in 2018 ! It's not really much products and some of them were travel and sample sized items, but nonetheless I'm glad I can finish them all without wasting any products.
There's a total of 9 full sized products + 2 sheet masks + 3 travel/trial sized items = A total of 14 items this month. Not as much as my usual Empties post but hopefully that means I have successfully decluttered my overwhelming beauty products and it means that now I have less opened products ? (one can only hope).
