Aynway, back to the post, me and my husband always spend the night at our parents house during the weekends, so I always bring my makeup brushes with me everytime we have a stay-over. And it's been a hassle packing up my makeup and brushes every time. I don't have a proper travel size brushes so all this time I've been using my regular makeup brushes and I have to move them from my vanity table to my travel bag every weekend, and it became annoying routines at times. So I have been wanting a cylinder / barrel packaging like this one because I thought it would be much easier to pack and it would guarantee that my brushes wouldn't get pressed and ruined by other things in my travel bag.

The cylinder case is very compact in size because it is afterall a travel set. My first impression was: "It is very nicely made!". The cylinder tube is made of leather and it's very thick and sturdy. The seams are very neat and look strong and adds an elegant look to it.

The leather is made of a good material and doesn't look cheap at all. The cylinder case also has button attachments on either sides of it so it would shut the tube properly. This would guarantee that your brushes won't come out easily or spill all over.

Because it is a mini travel size so the cylinder tube is not as long and as big as the regular size tube. It is just 7cm in height so it is a very convenient size for traveling. It comes in different colors too but I chose black instead, so it would be easier to clean when it gets dirty. Also, the brushes inside are color-coordinated with the cylinder case, so if you choose a pink case then you will get brushes with pink handles. And if you choose the red case you will get brushes with red handles.

Inside the case you will get a set of 8 travel mini brushes from Armando Carusso that consists of :

• Blush / Contour Brush
• Slanted Foundation Brush

• Smudge Brush

As I've already tried them all I could say that the brushes quality weren't exactly as good as the regular size Armando Carusso brushes. I have a couple of regular size Armando Carusso brushes on my vanity and I thought they were all nice enough to use for daily makeup, but these travel size brushes are not as good as those regular ones. These travel size brushes has less flexibility, and they also has coarser hair and thinner bristles compared to the regular size brushes.

But it doesn't mean that these are bad quality brushes, NO. These are okay and you can use them for your traveling and/or daily makeup, but if you're traveling as a makeup artist or if you use these for serious makeup then you might want to use your other brushes. But for a daily travel brush where you don't usually need heavy makeup you can use these and it will be fine :)

Overall, the quality of the cylinder case is really good and it looks elegant and expensive. Meanwhile, the brushes inside are just nice enough for low-maintenance travel makeup when you don't need to do heavy makeup. This would also be nice for those of you who just started learning makeup and wants to buy a set of brushes that you can bring along in your bag due to its small compact case. I still use these brushes for my weekly stay-over at the parents house and as back-up brushes. And most of all, I really love the cylinder leather case (!) 😀
