[Scented Candle] : Bath & Body Works Merry Mistletoe 3-Wicks Candle

Yayy, another candle review!
After a long time not reviewing candle here in this blog, I finally write a new review! If you read my previous post (Last Purchase of 2017) you would know that I had just made a purchase on Bath & Body Works semi annual sale (SAS) last month.
As we all know, BBW candles are pretty much expensive especially the large size ones, so I only purchase BBW large candles during their SAS Sale where they usually have big discount. The sale usually held near end of the year, and this time they are having 60% Off (!) so I went there in a hurry.

I purchased 3 of their candles and a couple of handsoaps and room spray, and this one below is the candle that I first lit from the bunch :)
Bath & Body Works Merry Mistletoe
"A blend of citrus, blue spruce, and frosted cranberries create this perfect holiday scent".
This one smells sooo gooood in the jar... I remember I fell in love instantly with the scent when I sniffed it at BBW counter. After countless times sniffing different candles at the counter this one stood out the most (along with a few other scents). So I picked this up instantly because it is one of those rare scent which me and hubby both agreed and liked. Because usually my fave scents are not really his favorites and what he likes are not my best interest (LOL) so agreeing on one scent is pretty much a rare occasion, so this Merry Mistletoe is definitely one of those "rare scent" that we both liked.
I also fell in love with the beautiful jar which looks so christmas-y and winter-y. Although I'm not a Christian but I still love the festive jar and especially the winter theme design. I don't know why but I always love winter themes. In fact, winter-y scents are one of my most fave scent from BBW too.
The rich green color of the candle and jar sticker makes it even more festive combined with the silver design and mirrored lid. It is an overall festive candle with an elegant look worthy of sitting in your best table :)

Anyway, back to the candle, here's the scent description according to the website :
"Mistletoe Leaves, Frozen Cranberries, Sparkling Holiday Pear, Icy Peppermint ".
"Mistletoe Leaves, Frozen Cranberries, Sparkling Holiday Pear, Icy Peppermint ".
To my nose, it's a wintry icy scent. The imagination of "walking through a cold green forest up in the hill during winter time" runs through in my head whenever I smell this candle. It's an icy green / woodsy scent more towards cool pines aroma to my nose. I could detect a slight fruity aroma in the scent (because it has cranberries and pear) but they are overcast by the cool green woods aroma.
As I told you I love this scent from the first sniff at the store and still enjoy sniffing it from the jar until now. But although I loved the scent so much off the jar but when lit the candle's scent was a little bit too strong, especially for a small room like my apartment. It is a very lovely winter scent (which I like) but it's just too strong for my little apartment.
The winter woods-y aroma is a little bit strong for my nose and it could definitely mask any unwanted scent in your room because of its strong sillage / scent-throw. Don't get me wrong, it's really nice if a candle has a strong scent-throw because that's what we expect for the price of the candle, but with a heavier note like this sharp pine/woodsy aroma on this Merry Mistletoe candle my nose can't smell anything else but this candle.
But then after a couple of times burning it I think the strong scent subsided a little bit. Now it's not as strong as when I first lit them. I don't know why the aroma gets a little less strong after a couple of burning time. But it's still good though!

Overall, if you like pine / winter green woods aroma with a hint of minty coolness in the air you will probably like this one. And I would still recommend it especially if you have bigger area in your house, because when you first lit the candle the scent will get a little bit heady and strong and I think it would fill your room(s) nicely. But if you have super small room(s) like me I would probably suggest you purchase the medium (1 wick) candle instead so it wouldn't be too overwhelming for your nose ;)
