[Fragrance] Picks : Rainy Winter Candle Edits

Yesterday I post about my favorite perfumes that I mostly wore during this cold rainy / winter season. I don't have a big collection of perfumes and colognes but I always rotate them according to my mood, weather, and occasion. The same as my perfume collection my candle collection is also not as big as others yet, but I do have a handful of selections to choose from. And as I promised yesterday, today I would make a separate post about the candles that I picked out from my candle collection that I tend to burn during these past few months where the weather gets cold and it's pouring outside all day everyday ...
I actually lit two other candles (BBW Fresh Balsam and BBW Merry Mistletoe) that I didn't put up in this post because I only lit them as an alternative when I got bored with these two. But these two candles that I will talked about today are the candles that I burned the most for the past few months.
I also personally picked out these candles from my collection because they are perfect for dull and dark weather like this time of the year. Also, I want to use them up in order to declutter my candle collection. Both of them are from Bath & Body Works as most of my candles are from BBW.
Bath & Body Works Black Tie (medium - 1 wick)
This has been my winter fragrance since last year. The silver - grey tone color on the jar also doubles as new-year decoration as it has festive sparkle design. It matches the color theme of my living room which has grey / black theme so it looks perfect and adds a bit of glamourous touch when I put the jar on the TV console.
Regarding the scent, this is the most similar scent to mens cologne amongst all the other candles I have in my collection right now (though it's not a big collection yet). To my nose it smells like mens cologne mixed with icy cocktail drink. Like a good looking gentleman sitting on a bar drinking his bourbon or something ;)
It has green sage, sandalwood, and tonka bean notes in it. It does smell masculine but I love mens cologne scents because they bring some kind of warmth, and I don't know.. I just like smelling good mens cologne, LOL... Anyway, this is quite masculine but also has that crisp icy something on top, like a sparkly notes. Great for when the rain is pouring heavy outside, or for when you have dinner parties, or some festive occasion as the sparkly top notes makes it more fun and uplifting.
Bath & Body Works Flannel (mini)
Ooohhh Flannel... Now where do I begin with this? Just now when I sniffed it I was immediately taken into an imaginary world where I am bundled in warm blanket and encapsulated with comfortness in front of a fireplace. It is soooo gooooodd on the nose as well as when burned. Projection is excellent eventhough this is just a mini size one. It has bergamot, heirloom mahogany, and soft musk. No wonder I love this because musk is like one of my most favorite scent everrrrr... It brings me warmth, comfort, and some freshness too alongside the musky tone. Now the days are beginning to get a little bit shiny and we are almost at the edge of a season change, but I think I can still use these two up just a little bit more before the rain finally subsides :)

Aku tuh pengen cobain pakai lilin di kamar. Siapa tau bisa atasi insomnia aku. Bener ga sih, Mbak? :D
ReplyDeleteAku juga dulu insomnia Li.. (skrg juga masih sih hehe), mending pake parfum atau wewangian yg bikin rileks sebelum tidur (atau bisa juga semprot2 di bantalnya) biar mood nya rilex jadi cepet ngantuk. Soalnya kalau pake lilin nanti pas kita udah ngantuk kita musti bangun lagi untuk tiup lilinnya, sementara kalau udh ngantuk trus bangun lagi nanti pasti seger lagi deh kan..
