SOTE: The Body Shop Strawberry Beautifying Oil
Hubby came home at noon from work because he wasn’t feeling well. So I didn’t test out any new perfume today just incase the scent would make him dizzy. (PS: Monday is usually the day when I test out new perfumes because it is the day where I would mostly stay at home and rests). Anyway, luckily by the evening hubby was already feeling better.
I did a whole hair-to-feet routine at night, complete with a hair mask using Furatasse Snail collagen mask and full body scrub using Dr Soap Coffee Scrub (my fave!), and a bubble mask using B.Liv O2 Bubble Mask for my face. And what I like to do after a thorough body scrub is lather my skin with a dry oil right afterwards. This would make my skin feels suuuperr soft and glistening with a healthy glow! Tonight I’m using TBS Strawberry Beauty Oil which I’m trying to use up. I love dry oils because they moist my skin without being sticky and my skin just absorbs them better compared to body lotions. And these body oils usually have beautiful scents too. If I wore scented dry oil I usually won’t need to apply perfume because my skin already smells good because of the oil. I love this TBS strawberry beauty oil because the scent lasts long, and I would love to purchase more variants after I finished this bottle (hopefully they still exists on the store).


Tuesday, March 6
SOTD: (1st trial) Aquolina Pink Sugar Sensual
Because I couldn’t test out any new perfume yesterday (because hubby was sick) so I tested a new perfume today instead. I have no plans for today anyway so I can happily test out a new perfume at home. I recently purchased a couple decants from a new perfume store and Aquolina Pink Sugar Sensual is one of them. And that is what I’m testing today. I originally wanted the original Pink Sugar version but I only found the Pink Sugar “Sensual” version so I decided to try it out first. I will do a few try outs with this perfume again before writing the review 😉
PS: For dinner we ordered a lamb fried rice and tongseng which is traditional Indonesian meat stew dish (but I ordered the chicken version) in a curry-like soup made of sweet soy sauce and coconut milk, served with shredded cabbage and tomato dice. I don’t like the smell of lamb meat / curry and I think this perfume successfully camouflage the food smell nicely. So at the end of the night I don't smell like the food, instead I still smell sweet like sugar-coated flowers served with lace ;)


Wednesday, March 7
SOTD: Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue
I spent all day hunting for free tickets promo from Air Asia since last night until late this afternoon (Whoa! that’s a long time lookin' at your computer and mobile phone monitor. I even lose some sleep!). But thank GOD we finally got a super cheap promo ticket for our departure, and got free-fare return tickets, yay !! After confirming the ticket I’m busy arranging schedules and itinerary for our next short trip - although it’s still months away from now ;)
Anyway I didn't wear any perfume for the first half of the day because the truth is I haven't even taken my shower yet, LOL. But after showering I decided to wear my D&G Light Blue because it always reminds me of holiday, and I AM in “holiday mood” today after we confirmed our holiday tickets 😊


Thursday, March 8
SOTD: (1st trial) Dyptique Vetiverio
I’m trying up a new fragrance today. One of the decants from my last purchase is Dyptique Vetiverio. I was excited to try out this one because I’ve never tried Dyptique before and I’m always intrigued with their famous candles, so when this decant came I was excited to try it out as soon as I received it. But alas, this didn't appeal to me. I don't really hate it, I just don't like it. I thought it’s a bit masculine for me, but hubby doesn't want to wear it either because although he likes the scent but when he tried it on him it leans more towards feminine scent on his skin, so it is kinda chameleon scent I guess.. And I think I don't really like vetiver after sniffing what vetiver smells like. I like it when it's combined with other notes though, but not this one...
But anyway I would try this out again on the next cold season because maybe it's better in colder weather, and if I still don't like it by then I would probably use it as room spray instead. An “overpriced” room spray I guess 😖 Luckily I just bought the decant not the full bottle... But if anyone of you interested in buying it I'll let it go, just email me ;)
SOTE: The Body Shop White Musk EDT
So anyway I decided to wash up to erase the vetiverio scent because my skin didn't work well with it, made me smell like wet grass (not the fresh smelling wet grass, but more like a soaked up grass mixed with dirt, *cringe*). After washing up I wore TBS White Musk before going to bed. This is my fave perfume to wear for sleep because the white musk is soft and comforting, and it won't disturb my nose. I don't know why but the scent of white musk kinda calms me down somehow, so it's perfect to help me relax before sleep.


Friday, March 9
SOTD: YSL Black Opium
It's "Girls Night Out" today! I met with my girlfriends in the evening and we had dinner at Chandara, a fine thailand cuisine restaurant. It's always a fun night full of laughters with these girls... I decided to wear YSL Black Opium tonight because it is my favorite gourmand evening scent (although too bad it doesn't last long on me so I keep on dabbing more for touch ups all through the night). But it does smell yummy though! At least for the first few hours... :)


Saturday, March 10
SOTD: (1st trial) Versace bright crystal
We originally had lotsa plans today but as usual we got lazy so had to postpone everything 😐 But late in the afternoon we went out for coffee and hubby wants to watch soccer with his dad so off we go to his parents house.
I’m trying out one of my newest vial haul today and I picked out Versace Bright Crystal from my vial stash. Hmm... not my type of scent. I like the dry downs though..but not everything else. I still want to try out other Bright Crystals versions, I think the yellow diamond and the darker bottle (bright crystal noir) has more likeable percentage than this original pink one.


Sunday, March 11
SOTD : D&G Light Blue
A very sunny and very hot Sunday. We spent all day outside, from lunch at the farmer’s market, to checking out phones and purchasing new batteries at the mall, then a quick coffee shots at Regal Cafe before going to ITC to get new phones for my parents in law. For today’s scent my choice went for D&G Light Blue again, a cult classic fragrance reminiscent of summer days. Hubby wore this too today because he loves it, LOL. And I do think it's a versatile fragrance. Anyway, we went outside at 12 noon and arrived back home at 12 midnight today, pheww it’s been a tiring Sunday.
