[Shopping Diary] : Online Thrift Haul
8:49:00 PM
I got the biggest haul last month, LOL! When I want to shop and buy something but I don't have much money I went to the second option, which is : thrifting!
Yes, thrifting is a saviour for me sometimes :) I enjoy looking for treasures beneath the piles of unattractive clothing and then pay them for cheap. I can spend a little money but end up getting loads of new-to-me clothes. I also love shopping at garage sales. Anywhere with cheap shopping and quality items, I'm there! Lol. Sometimes I get lucky and found new items with tag too! Aaaandd... it's sustainable clothing, so you did something to save the environment by recycling clothes :) - do you know how many clothes end up in garbage? it's overwhelming.
So any of you likes thrifting and garage sale-ing? Let's hang out if you do :)
Anyway, here's an accumulative haul from a couple of my trips to the thrift haul and a couple garage sales. As usual, I don't mean to brag but I just write this for myself, so I can keep track on how much I spent and what I spent it for. And I also love reading about hauls, so if you don't like this kind of stuff just skip this post to another post :)
And for my online friends who also love to read hauls, lemme know about your haul posts too in the comment below so I can read them :)
Again, if you see there are a lot of items in this haul, just remember that this is not from one haul. I did a couple of thrifting trips last month to 2 different places, and I also shopped at a few garage sales, so here's just the accumulative of those shopping rounds. Also, when you go thrifting you get many clothes with much lesser price that you would normally spent at the mall. So let's just say that the total price of all these 17 items that I bought is the same price of 4 or 5 items from H&M or Zara. So you can get 17 items from thrifting with the same price as if you bought 4 or 5 items from the mall. What a save, right? It is such a mirage for your thirst of shopping, Lol. And you also help save the environment by going thrifting, because that way you are doing some form of recycling and sustainable clothing movement.
So anyway, as I told you earlier, these are all accumulative from two thrift stores and a couple garage sales, so I list them here without any chronological order. This post is just a sample of what you can get from thrifting. Sustainable clothing yasss.
Left to right :
Burberry Navy Stripe Tank
Abercrombie & Fitch Ribbed Navy Tank
Ralph Lauren Golf Stripe Polo Sleeveless Blouse
Tommy Hilfiger Cardigan
Mango Sweater
Tally Weijl Shorts
Random brand Plaid Shorts
Calvin Klein Zebra Print Cardigan
Elizabeth & James Perforated Sweater
DKNY City Blouse
Hang Ten Polo Shirt
Uniqlo Typo Tee
Ed Hardy Long Sleeve Tee
Betty Boop Tee
Anna Sui Blouse
Ed Hardy Tank Top
Elle Stripe Sleeveless Top
So my top three favorite items from this haul are: the CK open cardigan, the Mango stripe sweater (because of the colors and the buttons!), and the Ralph Lauren Sleeveless Polo (which is so preppy, me likey!).
I also found two rare brands from this haul. One is Tally Weijl, which is a brand not available here in Indonesia but quite popular in Europe. And also a sweater from Elizabeth & James! This is the fashion brand of the famous twins Mary Kate - Ashley Olsen, and it is considered an upper class high street brand in US. I found this White Sanders Mesh Pullover which looks so sporty and cool!
Anyway, after I tried all of these clothings, turns out that some of these thrifted items didn't fit me well, or I decided that I just don't like the way it falls on my body, so I might sell them on my thrift store (coming soon!). Email me or DM me in instagram (@yurikristia) if you want to know my online thrift store so that you can buy one of these items that I decided not to wear :)
