I've been slacking a lot lately. Not only slacking on blogging but also slacking on my skincare routine. But now I have come to realise that my complexion has been dull and lacklustre lately, so I am determined to start doing a skincare routine again. I believe in a routine skincare treatment because I have been experiencing good moments with my skin back when I am still frequently doing my skincare routine. So whatever your skincare routine is, if you do it routinely without skipping a day or two you will gain benefit from it.

Anyway, ever since I decided to routinely do my skincare again the first thing I did was declutter all of my skincare products to see if there were anything that already passed their expiration date (because I haven't used them for a while). I also added a few new products that I got from sponsors or the ones that I purchased myself. One of them is this Accoje Anti-Aging Intensive Ampoule. Accoje is a Korean brand that boasts on its strong connection to Jeju island, with 70% of its materials used are from Jeju island.


Accoje Anti-Aging Intensive Ampoule is an essential anti aging skin treatment with silky texture and highly concentrated capsules serum inside a pretty-colored bottle. It also contains Jeju seaweed complex and peptides to help improve the appearance of fine lines especially on the cheek and under eye area.⁣

This is an ampoule that has now been a part of my skincare routine. I used this on my cheeks area, from under the eye into the crevices of my smile line, because that's what this product is meant for. It says that this should be applied on cheek and under eye area to improve skin appearance and to help create that natural pink-ish blushed cheek! You know when your cheek is naturally blushed because of temperature? That's the natural blush that this product aimed for. Because in Asia people believed that naturally blushed cheek could mean a healthy skin. 

Simple skincare is a brand that is always trying to be better for the skin as well as the environment. Their products are free from harsh chemicals, colour or artificial fragrance. Simple was first launched as a solution for people with sensitive skin and now they are also catering to all types of skin.

I love their simple approach to nature and their products are also certified-cruelty free by PETA. That means they do not test on animals. They are also committed to a cleaner future by trying to use more recyclable packaging on their products.

I have heard of this brand for so long but this brand wasn't easy to get here in Indonesia, so I only have tried three of their products so far, but I like them all. Simple skincare have simple green packaging and simple product designs too. Everything about the brand is simple (and kind to skin too). So I'm hoping to try more of their products in the future :)

• Hydrating : Mengandung Hyaluronic Acid & Trehasole, juga mengandung lavender dan minyak esensial zaitun yang alami. Untuk membantu melembabkan, mengencangkan, dan menghaluskan kulit.
• Lifting & Firming : Mengandung campuran collagen, elastin, dan adenosine. Juga mengandung minyak esensi lemon dan daun thyme untuk membantu mengencangkan serta mengurangi kerutan dan garis halus pada wajah.
• Whitening : Mengandung Niacinamide dan morus alba bark extract. Juga mengandung minyak esensi jeruk dan grapefruit, untuk membantu mencerahkan kulit, menghilangkan dark spot, dan mengurangi pigmentasi pada kulit.
• Purifying : Mengandung Tea Tree oil, dan juga minyak esensial lemon dan blueberry untuk membantu menghilangkan komedo / blackheads, mengurangi jerawat dan noda pada kulit, serta menenangkan  kulit.

Tree Harvest Ylang Ylang
This is probably one of my oldest candle. I never burned it out completely because I'm afraid it would melt all over as it doesn't have a "house / jar" of its own. But now I determined to at least try to finish this one because I think the scent is starting to go away with this one.

BBW White Barn Black Cherry Merlot
Hands down, this is my favorite candle scent from Bath & Body Works! I really love the scent of black cherries. It's sweet and gourmand and conjures up everything nice and comfy and sweet in life! I also think it's perfect for the colder weather where it doesn't rain too heavily yet but the sun is not that hot either.

Better Homes & Garden Zesty Lemon Peppercorn
This one is also perfect for the current temperature. The Zesty Lemon Peppercorn scent is definitely not for everyone because it's not a people pleaser. It's rather unique, so maybe not everyone would like this. I also only appreciate this perfume in colder weather because the heavy spicy aroma of this one only suitable for colder season. In summer this smells very pungent and weird, hehe.. But in Fall and Winter this one thrives :)


Now, my perfume choices :

Jerawat sepertinya tidak bisa lepas dalam kaitannya sebagai salah satu problem wanita, karena kemunculan jerawat bagi sebagian orang dianggap dapat mengganggu penampilan yang kemudian berakhir menjadi tidak percaya diri. Sebagai pemilik kulit jenis kombinasi, saya pun tidak luput dari yang namanya jerawat.

Walaupun bukan termasuk yang sering ber-jerawat tapi kalau sedang datang bulan maka muncul lah jerawat yang diakibatkan oleh hormon. Jadi jerawat ini sudah jadi langganan tiap bulan untuk saya hehe..

Tentu saja saya memiliki beberapa produk skincare yang saya gunakan terutama ketika jerawat datang. Salah satunya yang sedang saya coba sekarang adalah produk skincare khusus jerawat dari Erha Clinic yaitu Erha21 Acne Care Lab series.

Before we get into the actual post, please allow me a short intermezzo first :)

Soo... berhubung hari ini adalah hari batik nasional jadi ini adalah appreciation post supaya Batik Indonesia makin berjaya :) 
Jadi ini adalah ootd yang saya pakai hari ini ..

Batiknya itu batik modern, oleh-oleh mama dari Pekalongan, bisa dipakai dua style. Sekalian aja saya kasitau info yang lainnya yang saya pakai disini ya, karena kalau di IG saya suka ditanya detilnya hehe : Jeans nya dari Bennetton, Tas nya Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac, dan Sendal hak dari Noche :)

And then I take my plain black button up cardigan from Paul Smith that has a rounded necklace.
Please notice that the collar shape of the top and the cardigan are both rounded so they would make a great combination. You can also combine a V-shaped collared top with a V-shaped button up cardigan. You get what I mean, right? I hope that makes sense :)



Then all you have to do is wear the collared top underneath the button up cardigan and don't forget to button the cardigan all the way up to make the collar stand out even more. This trick would also works better on an ornamented collar + plain colored cardi. It won't work as nice if you have busily patterned collar and cardi (although you can still try it if you like that style ).




The results is like having a totally new blouse that you haven't own before ! :)

Here's another example of the same trick. I have a white blouse from Anne Klein that comes with a built-in tie collar that normally I would just tie up into a bow if I want to go formal (this was one of my office wear). I would also hang the tie loose for a more casual look if I wear it with jeans.


Sorry, the blouse photo above is a little bit washed out because of the bright light from the window. I hope you can see the bow / tie detail on the blouse.

And then I picked up this blue plaid knit button-up cardigan from the Japanese brand Alba Rosa. Both the white blouse and the cardigan have rounded shape collar area.



And here's the result of combining them together :


Looks like a new fresh take on the cardigan !
It actually looks like a nautical style blouse to me :)
