Hi, how was your day ?
The political demonstration news in the TV got me worried a bit, so I need to distract myself so I don't get anxious with it. I decided to just blog today, because blogging is a good distraction for me (blogging and watching youtube hehe).
So anyway, first of all I would like to let you know that this is a backlog post but I'm still gonna post it because hey, it's my blog so I can do whatever I want with it, hehe... So I'm writing this post in September but I'm gonna post it under the February month because these empties are from that time ( I know, I'm so behind schedule, slap me). There will also be backlog posts like these in the future so please bear with me as I am trying to revive this blog again :)
Okay, so I haven't done an Empties post for so long, meanwhile I still have all my empty products piling up in the corner of my bedroom. Hubby already complained about the piling so here I am finally making these super late Empties posts again ;)
So this particular empties were from around last December to February and early March (I think), but I'm gonna post it as a February post instead, hence the "2019 First Empties" post title.
I didn't saved many of the assorted products that I finished during that time because either I forgot to save them for this post, or I was just lazy and thought I would never write empties post again. It's true though, I was thinking I won't do Empties post again because it takes a certain amount of time to write. But then when I had a meet up with my friends earlier last month, one of them mentioned that she actually read my empties post because she wants to know about the products more.
So that got me thinking of reviving Empties posts again. But I was still not sure, until yesterday hubby complained about the empties trash that started to pile up in our bedroom corner, so I thought I have to do something with it, and so here we are with this post :)

Let's start !
S K I N C A R E
CosRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
One of my first introduction to acid and one of my favorite actives / acid too ! I think my combi skin needs both BHA and AHA, and this was my go-to product for my BHA fix. Every time my skin is acting out with little breakouts or hormonal acne I would slather this on in the evening and it would tone down all the breakouts in a matter of days. Love it!
> Will Repurchased
> Replacement : Nothing. I haven't bought any BHA product lately.
Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner
One of my go-to hydrating toner and a multi function toner too. You need a hydrating toner after using acids and this was my go-to toner for that. I also use this toner to remove the remains of my makeup that my micellar water can not lift off. This was also moisturising and calming the skin. I just love this.
> Will Repurchased
> Replacement : Natural Pacific Calendula Real Flower Toner
Nature Leaves Mask for Oily Skin
This was a natural product from a local brand that was sent to me for review. I honestly loved it because : (a) the packaging is cute, and (b) the powder mask is actually easy to use and works fine with my oily skin. You can read my full review here : Nature Leaves Pink Mask & Hello's Night Serum.
> Replacement : Nothing. I still have lots of masks to finish up.
Spa Essentia White Glow Face Scrub
This was another product that was sent to me for review and I honestly loved. I always use face scrub routinely and this was one of the face scrub that felt good on skin when you're scrubbing it. I love scrubs that can make me feel that I'm really scrubbing those dead skin off, so it needs to be a little bit gritty (not harsh). This one fulfils that requirement ;)
> Replacement : Juara Rice Facial Scrub

Elianto Ultra Define Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown
This is a Malaysian brand but I got it via a subscription box a while ago. I think it's an okay one. The dark brown shade is natural looking and the formula of the pencil is nice too. It's not too hard but not easy to smudge either. So I think it's pretty good. You can read my full review here : Elianto Ultra Define Eyebrow Pencil.
> Replacement : Still using up my Maybelline Fashion Brow Cream Pencil
Mizzu Brow Wow in Mid Shade 02
This was one of my favorite brow pencil. I love that it has dual ends, one with the pencil and the other is a spoolie. The color is natural looking too especially for medium tan skin. The texture is nice and easy to use. I like it. You can read my short review here : Mizzu Event & Review.

Missha Crystal Shine Rouge in shade RD02
This was my lipstick project pan and I'm glad I finally used it up. I had this for a long time and I was determined to use this up not just throw it away, because I actually like the moisturizing formula and the soft shine texture, but the color is just too pale and not pigmented enough for my skin.
> Replacement : Nothing, still have lotsa lipsticks in my drawer, and still trying to use up my Mac Lustre in Venus as my next lippie project pan.

APOT.Care Optilash Eyelash Growth Serum
I have thin eyelashes and the bottom one is scarce compared to the upper eyelashes. I have almost zero lower eyelashes, LOL. So I used this up quite frequently and saw a little progress on my lower eyelashes. I think there are newly grown thin eyelashes there, and this also improves the thickness of my eyelashes in overall. You can read my review here : Apot.Care Optilash Review.
> Replacement : Nothing. I don't use eyelash serum for now.
Eos Sphere Lip Balm in Sweet Mint
I still have a few of these Eos sphere lip balms left so I wanna start using them up. This one I didn't get to use that much because as you can see on the above photo, the lip balm was broken when I first opened it (*cringe*). I can not use it unless I used my finger to dip, so this only lasted a little while. Too bad, because I kinda like this sweet mint variant.
> Replacement : Eos Lip Balm Spheres in Strawberry Sorbet

Mane n Tail Shampoo (The Original)
The one and only shampoo I swore by for my problematic hair. My hair problems are hair fall, oily scalp and dry strands. This is the only shampoo that I always got back to, no matter what. Even after trying on other shampoos, nothing else work as good as this shampoo for me, so this would always be in my shopping list :)
> Replacement : Already repurchased the same shampoo.
Veet Hair Removal Cream
I never liked hair removing cream (I prefer waxing) but I got this one for free so I used it anyway. I think the formula is better than the older one I've tried a long time ago. The scent is also better, not as strong as I remember it to be. But I still prefer sugar waxing though, because it's more natural.
> Replacement : Sugar Pot "Brighten" Wax
Kustie Osmanthus Shower & Bath Gel
When it's full you can see the yellow flower petals swimming inside the shower gel (you can see it in full on this post here : First Purchase of 2019). I purchased it because of the petals inside hehe.. But turns out I love the texture and formula as well, and I love the osmanthus fragrance too. It's soft and mellow-sweet, perfect for a relaxing shower / bath !

> Replacement : Daily Defense Macadamia Oil Body Wash
Kustie Cherry Blossom Shower & Bath Gel (travel size)
I got this one for free as a bonus when buying the Osmanthus one above. I used this up immediately because I wanted to also try it. This one has pink petals swimming around inside, and overall it is also very nice. The cherry blossom fragrance shares the same soft and mellow-sweet aroma as the Osmanthus one, but just a little bit powdery. They both smells great!

Etude House Snail Mask
It is a smooth firming sheet mask containing snail mucus that are believed to be able to help benefit skin in a lot of ways. The essence is unlike any other sheet masks I've tried before. This one has a creamy almost milky-like texture. It also has a subtle scent. It really deeply hydrate my skin and makes it moist and plumped. Good for deep hydration and skin that needs to be plumped up! Love it.
Guardian Moisturising Pearl Mask
This is Guardian in-house brand. This one has a thick sheet and a really subtle scent of baby powder. It is flexible on skin so it moves around with our face and not just sitting there tight. It also might have the best cutting on the sheet masks (at least from what I've encountered so far) because I think the cutting on the sheet mask would fit most face shape nicely. It hydrates my skin and makes my overall complexion looks youthful.
Laneige Water Bank Essence Ex
This is a moisturizer and I always love Laneige products especially the Water Bank series so this is a Yes for me. I might consider buying the full size in the future.
~~~~~~~~
And that's it guys.. In this first empties of 2019 I successfully finished up 12 full size products & 2 sheet masks + 2 sample size products. In total I finished 16 products, yay! Not bad for my first empties I think hehe ...
Alrighty, see you on the next Empties post !
